Hi Guys,
Thought that I will raise this 'Serious' topic for discussion here and see what you guys think?...
This has been nagging me for sometime ( me of the not so sane disposition😆), that unfortunately RBO's or rather the CVs' forte is not serious issues.
For example:
1. Shaan's unwillingness to work for his father which gave us the disastrous Rock On track😡
2. The MMS issue which was dealt with or shall we say pushed to the wayside!! If the Cvs think that an RV is adequate exchange for a dirty MMS..they are Wrong!! They made Shaan look like a retard when he hugged Rahul😡
3. The trust issue sort of disappeared with poor Shaan going hungry and thinking to do good for the villagers!!😕 And now we are in for a 2nd SR..can anyone tell me how long were these 2 apart and whenever I see them together it feels like they have done It or are going to do it!😆
4. And the last one which is very serious..is getting the factory going in a couple of days without dealing with any Red Tape or Bereaucracy!!! Shaan must possess a magic wand for if it had been otherwise this would have taken years!! And please don't tell me that this is reel and not real!!😡 I think the media is responsible in a major way for changing people's expectations and therefore they should deal with such issues in a sensitive manner.
So in Conclusion I would like to declare that the current track 'Rom Com' as KT likes to call it..is RBO's forte and thats why we see everybody smiling and very relaxed especially Shaan😳
Therefore my sincere request to the CVs is to abandon Raising any more serious Issues in the future because they Can't deal with it as we have seen already!! Just stick to Romance, and Comedy and keep everybody happy!!😊
There goes my Spiel!!...thanks for reading!!😊
Please do share your views as well😊

I cannot just cannot agree with you more.....

Serious issues truly are not their forte...in fact I firmly believe that even during golden RBO, they never delved seriously into anything, they had touched upon the seriousness in some cases but never deep...

As long as they stick to comedy -- BUT nuanced, subtle,,, the golden style,,,where characters were not caricaturised and there was no OTT dialogues and acting...I am game.....

the question is if serious issues are not your forte, can you do subtle comedy well? its a wait and watch on that....

thanks for this post...really nice post!!!!

I am in crunch for time.. will comment in detail later.. but would like to say..
Serious issues is not STARONE's forte...
regardless of how the show is.. S1's format is to entertain youth base where it is more easygoing than serious stuff.. for that they have StarPlus.
I say because i have been thru this discussion for other S1 shows.. never goes to serious issues. Frankly i don't expect it when i watch S1.. i am mentally prepared and have no issues on it.😳!
PS: Simz.. i didn't read your post in full .. will comment later dear...😊

loved your take Veeni
and lovely post Simi.......thanks for making it !!

My take -- I agree that serious issues are not S1's forte as such but I have seen some episodes of a show 'dhoondh legi manzil hamein' on S1 which is absolutely politics based, really serious show......
that is telecast at 9.00 pm S1..........seemingly prime time.......

then why is such a confused approach to RBO.........??

I say confused because they dare to try different route............they do approach difficult and serious subjects but somehow drop them half -way !!!

if you do not intend to deal with it..........why attempt only......

I am absolutely fine with Rom -Com type of comedy if the treatment is not 'run of the mill' type........as saaaz says subtle and nuanced............light comedy is always welcome.....
and ShaNak in any type of role are loved by one and all..........so no complains there...........

the only complains are -- why create so much thrill by attempting a difficult issue and then treat it half heartedly............

I agree with veena
starone shows are mainly on lighter issues and told in an entertaining manner even when it
is slightly serious issue😊
very happy to see todays episode
😃madhvi/sunil rocked with ShaNak😊
Agree attimes they need to show some serious stuff so that there is a touch of emotion but
they need to see that it is done in a lighter way like we had Hiten as Anand being cheerful
even in adversities
blended with it not like Rock-on track where ducks humour was irritating to see he was after
khushboo though he was acting well
RBO has been u hugely enjoyable l inthe rom-com track Hope it continues
