Thanks for all the support everyone! The Index will be updated on first page first page as usual. I cannot believe it's already 32 pages for this thread lol! It may take me awhile to get inspiration to write part twenty so please enjoy this for now.
Part Nineteen
Khanak awakened from a nap. She had not realized when she had fallen asleep. She peered out the window. Light snow had fallen while she had slept. Her bright smile turned to a frown when she turned around to realize this setting seemed very familiar. She had the feeling of dj vu. She felt like she had been on this train before. Then it hit her that seemed familiar to her dream and that train sequence in Knight and Day. She swallowed hard. Shantanu was not around.
"Yeh kahan chale gaye? He should have left a note or better yet woken me up," she thought to herself.
She started to walk around the train looking for him and hoping she did not meet any bad guys. Sure when she had seen the movie she had felt confident that she could handle anything. However now she felt it to be quite a weird feeling in her insides.
Why did it seem like she had been here before?
Some elderly people smiled at her, She smiled slightly back at them as she continued her journey across the different sections of the train. She saw a few young children with their parents eating in the dining car.
"Perhaps Shantanu went back to where we are sitting," she thought to herself.
She turned around and started her trek back towards the car they were sitting in. As the minutes passed her by she felt as if her heart was pounding through her chest.
Suddenly she stopped short feeling something familiar. Before she could turn around someone grabbed her wrist and she landed on them.
She opened her eyes and sighed with relief.
" You scared me!," she gasped.
" Where did you go? I was worried when you weren't here when I got back," Shantanu said.
She suddenly realized she was in his lap and blushed and got up to sit beside him instead.
" I went to look for you. What were you up to?," she inquired.
" I wet to freshen up and I grabbed the menu. They are serving breakfast now. Why don't you freshen up and then we'll go eat? The first stop is in two hours, we'll have time to do some shopping and see some sights," he quipped.
She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder.
" I am glad we are on this trip. I love you!," she declared.
Shantanu rubbed her back affectionately.
" I love you too," he whispered back.
She took in the scent of his aftershave for a moment longer before she went to go freshen up herself.
The couple bundled up and explored the small town they had stopped in. They had two hours to simply enjoy it. Khanak loved the art show they spotted in what seemed like a recreation center.
Shantanu noticed an artist doing cartoonish portraits. He smiled and thought it would be nice if he got one done.
Khanak had bought a few things and was looking around for Shantanu.
He tapped her on the shoulder and she turned and smiled at him.
He showed her the portrait.
" Yeh kya hai?," she exclaimed.
" It's my face on a tiger's. So next time you are mad at me you can look at this and start laughing instead," he quipped.
She nudged him and gave him a quick side hug.
" Look and see what I have bought," she said.
She had bought a few things for Khushboo Bhabhi's baby's room.
" This will be cute. He or she can play with this while they are in the crib. I bought this embroidery blanket," she stated.
Shantanu smiled and thought it would be nice to tease her.
" You are enjoying so much to get things for our future niece or nephew, I wonder how excited you will be when are expecting our own child," he quipped.
She blushed and pushed him slightly away.
Shantanu heard the large grandfather clock chime in town square. He turned pale.
" Khanak we are going to miss the train!," he yelled.
She too looked at the clock and panicked. She took his out stretched hand and they started to run back towards the station.
Shantanu was able to hop on first. He offered his hand to Khanak, she handed him the bags first.
" Jaldi karo Khanak, the train is starting!," he exclaimed.
The train's whistle blew and it started to move.
Shantanu dropped the bags on the side and pulled Khanak in before she fell behind.
They were standing very close together and trying to catch their breath as the train began to speed up.
Khanak looked up into his eyes.
"Thank God we made it. Tum kamal karti ho. What if you got hurt or I wasn't able to pull you in on time?," he asked.
She smiled brightly.
" The way you pulled me in reminded me of two Hindi films," she said.
He started to laugh.
" Which ones?," he inquired.
" Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge aur Jab We Met, " she stated.
"Oh that's right. However unlike SRK and Shahid I get to keep you in real life," he said.
Khanak pulled back.
" Also we actually have a booking on this train," she said as she picked up the bags and they headed towards their seats.
They arrived in Geneva when it was nearly time for dinner. The day so far had been eventful.
" Where do you want to go for dinner? Downstairs or out someplace around here?," he asked.
" We can go explore the city more tomorrow. I want to eat here tonight. I am just going to shower and change," she quipped.
She started to go through the luggage as Shantanu called back home to talk to everyone. After Khanak finished taking out clothes for both of them to change into, she talked to everyone back home for a little while before she went inside the bathroom to turn on the water.
She emerged some time later wearing a dress that went down to past her knees and stopped above the ankles. It was a white and black dress with floral design
She was nervous about wearing such a dress. She was used to Indian wear and not exposing or showing her legs like this.
Shantanu was playing around with his phone but stopped when he felt her presence.
He got off the bed. His jaw hang open.
"Khanak tum bauth sundar lagri ho!," he said as he started to come towards her. ( Khanak you look very beautiful.)
She smiled.
" Really I was not so sure when Khushboo Bhabhi recommended this dress," she said.
" I am really serious Khanak. This dress makes you look..," he trailed off.
" Hot?," she asked almost blushing.
He grinned.
" Hot, cute, beautiful and sexy and I am glad you are my wife," he said with pure love that she could see in his eyes.
She had to blush.
" Tum ready ho jo. Main bus abhi aaya," he said as he went to go change.
