I was thinking of updating the whole thing together…but then it's already been so late…so posted this one…working on the next…will post as soon as I am done…and this time I wont betray…promise…

She took his hand in hers…to dress his cut again…as he had wet it…
Khanak: And then this stupid thing you have done… Mujhe manana hi tha…toh koi trick aazma lete…ketchup wagaira lagakar….sach main ye haath kaantne ki kya jaroorat thi…
She was finding it difficult to see…as her glasses had caught moisture…and she was so worried about his hand…that she didn't even bother wiping it…
She was constantly narrowing her eyes…in an attempt to see clearly …and he couldn't help but smile at her gesture…
"She was so cute" was all he could think…
He was quietly observing her…trying not to even blink…to not even miss that nano second of seeing her…
He did not even realize when his observing turned to admiring…
He kept looking at her…her eyes…her nose…her lips…her ears…
Then down to her slightly wet hairs…that were sticking partially to her neck and partially to her arms…
His gaze then stopped at that one wet strand…that was kissing her cheek……he stared at it as he kept getting jealous about it…almost as if reading his jealously…she tucked it behind her ear…and all he did was smile…
He was mesmerized looking at her…with every passing second just wanting to capture her in his eyes…and not want anything to break his trance…
With a soft smile on his lips…he was lost…when he gradually realized there were certain voices reaching his ears…
Khanak: Shaan? Shaan? (Almost screaming)Shaaan?
Shaan: (Startled)huh..?
Khanak: What are you staring at?
Shaan: Uh..nothing..just..
Khanak: Anyways...ye lo..ho gaya…
Shaan: Thanks…
She got up to put the first aid back into the shelf…when he noticed she had a light bruise on her elbow…and his words stopped her…
Shaan: Ruko..
Khanak: Huh..?
Shaan: Your elbow...you are hurt…
Khanak: Kidhar?
She began looking at it…when she noticed light bruises there…
Khanak: Oh!..ye kab hua?
Shaan: You didn't even realize?
Khanak: Choti si toh chot hain…kaha pata chalta hain…
Shaan: Right…bahut choti hain… I am sorry Khanak…I really am..
Khanak: Oh...no…that's fine...iske liye kyu sorry bol rahe ho?
Shaan: Iske liye nahi…this is nothing…nothing compared to way I behaved that day…mujhe samajh jaana chahiye tha ki...tumhare liye ye sab kitna mushkil hain…I was...I was… such a jerk...
She sat down besides him…
Khanak: Hey…it's ok…(taking a deep breath) Tumne sahi kaha…mere liye bahut mushkil tha…mere saath jo hua uss wajah se nahi…main jaisi hoon..uss wajah se…
Shaan: Khanak tum kya keh…
Khanak: Shaan…I have always been like this…timid…main nahi jaanti kyu…par main kabhi apne aap ke liye khadi nahi ho payi…never…but that day...I did…because all this time what I needed was that push…to go ahead and do things on my own…and you did just that…
Shaan: I wish I had done it in some decent way…
Khanak: But I have taken it in a positive way…
Shaan: Right…that's because you are a very nice person…
Khanak: Wrong…that's because 'you' are a very nice person Shaan…this is what I felt from our first meeting…and I still maintain that …I really do…
He smiled as he pulled out a handkerchief and wiped her glasses…
Shaan: Stop seeing me with those narrowed eyes…
Khanak: (smiling) I completely missed it…they caught moisture (adjusting her glasses)
Shaan: Kya tumne mujhe maaf kar diya?
Khanak: Kab ka kar diya yaar…aur iss baare main hum wapas kabhi baat nahi kar rahe…the chapter is over…and closed…okay…
Shaan: Yes Ma'am
Khanak: (taking a deep breath)Well everything is settled now…baas Neha ki butterflies wali theory wrong ho gayi…aur kuch nahi…
After she spoke the last sentence…she immediately regretted it…
Shaan: What butterflies theory?

But before she could speak anything in protest…he pushed her down onto the bed…and made himself almost land on top of her …placed both his hands besides her face…leaving her no chance to escape…
Khanak: Shaan..stop it…get away…(lightheartedly)

Khanak: Ab kya hua ka kya matlab hain? Ye kya tarika hain?
Shaan: Ye tarika tumse manwaane ka hain..ki tum mujhe pasand karti ho…

He paused as he could feel her hot breath against his neck…and he completely lost track of what was happening…
His eyes dropped at her lips…she noticed this…and her breathing grew heavier…making him lose himself even more…
Further …he himself wasn't in control of what he was speaking…
Shaan: Who am I?
Khanak: What?
Shaan: Who am I to you Khanak?
She had no courage left to speak…his closeness was making her lose her sense…making it difficult for her to think…
Khanak: T..tum…kya p..pooch rahe ho Shaan?
Shaan: Tum jaanti ho main kya pooch raha hoon…
This was not what he was intending to ask…he was just trying to tease her a little…but at this moment he just couldn't stop himself from asking her so…
He knew it was way too early…and she needed time…but there was something…that just made him take a step ahead…something that told him to not be guarded anymore…

Her mind wanted to run away… her heart wanted to tell him…what he wanted to hear …and she wasn't sure whom to listen to …
Shaan: Am I just your friend Khanak?
She lowered her gaze …and he got his answer…he realized he was probably thinking too much… demanding too much …feeling disappointed with his behavior…he moved a little to get up…just then her voice stopped him…
Khanak: Wait...
He looked back at her…she took a deep breath…before she spoke further…
Khanak: I lied…
He was confused…
Khanak: Tum…Tum mere liye sirf dost nahi ho...balki…usse kahi jyaada badhkar ho.. (she spoke after a pause) even more special…even closer…even more important…
He looked softly into her beautiful eyes…his heart singing on hearing what she said…
Shaan: I am not joking anymore Khanak…I am serious…
Khanak: So am I…
He smiled…happiness clear on his face…she smiled back…blushing a little…
Shaan: Then say it?
Khanak: Say what?
Shaan: You know what?
Khanak: No I don't…
Shaan: What do you mean you don't…tum mujhe pasand karti ho toh…aren't you missing something?
Khanak: Really? You think its going to be that easy?
Shaan: What do you mean?
Khanak: Shaan…c'mon...main unn ladkiyon main se nahi hoon jo..tumhare peeche…line lagakar khadi rehti hain…it can't be that easy for you…(smiling)
Shaan: Oh!...somebody is playing hard to get…
Khanak: No...just showing…it wont always be easy for you…
Shaan: Ohk..as you wish…game on..then…if that's what you wish…
As soon as he said this…he moved his lips closer to hers…
Shaan: Are you ready?
She could almost inhale his breath…as an impulse she closed her eyes…
He noticed this and smiled…
He leaned more towards her…and she felt her heart popping out of her chest…
He then moved closer to her ears as he whispered…
Shaan: Be ready to get wooed…Khanak Kapoor…now you will see the real beauty of life…good luck!
Her eyes went open instantly…and her heart smiling in anticipation…
Shaan: By the way…ek cheez batana bhul hi gaya… your… friend was right...the 'butterflies' do happen…
At an instant she looked at him…and he gripped her gaze… making it impossible for her to look away…
He gave her a half smile…as he spoke again…
Shaan: (still holding her gaze) and I am going to prove that to you… (huskily) soon…
Her eyes were still locked in his…her cheeks turned to deep pink…when he suddenly gave her a peck on her cheeks …whispered a "bye" into her ears …and left…without turning back…
And all she did was grab the pillow besides her…and dig her face into it in embarrassment…
