Karan was not in a very good mood for the past few days but tried his best to not show it or be overtaken by the feeling of anger which was burning inside him. But of course Khanak always notice the change in him and this time she talked about it to Shaan and asks for some help.

Khanak: shaan I really don't know what to do…karan kuch bolta nahin hai par main saaf dekh sakti hoon that he's not fine

Shaan: vaise maine bhi notice kiya…aaj kal he's too serious and looks very upset…

Khanak: he is upset…par voh yeh baat share karna nahin chahta hai…aur naa hi main uss se kuch pooch sakti hoon kyunki…(khanak stops in midway of her sentence as she realised that shaan doesn't know about karan's past)

Shaan: kyunki…..?

Khanak: nothing…

Shaan: tum mujhse kuch chupa rahi ho naa? (she looks at him feeling somewhere guilty to hide the truth)

Khanak: shaan actually…

Shaan: don't…listen I know koi baat hai jo tum batana nahin chahti and its fine

Khanak: don't get me wrong shaan…par yeh baat sirf karan hi tujhe bata sakta hai..aur jab tak voh nahin batata I cant…

Shaan: khanak its cool tum guilty feel mat karo…aur tum karan ki chinta mat kar main kuch karta hoon uska mood theek karne ke liye

Khanak: thanks yaar...

The same day shaan and karan were busy in office with their work. At least karan was coz shaan was thinking about how to change karan's mood.

Shaan: vaise karan…do din baad kya hai? (karan looks at him confused)

Karan: do din baad kya hai…Friday?

Shaan: haan but…but Friday ko kya hai? (karan gets annoyed with his lil game)

Karan: listen I really don't know okay?...(shaan acts as if he gets hurt and very desapointed)

Shaan: wow man…kitna acha dost nikla tu yaar…khud ko mera dost kehte ho aur tujhe yeh bhi pata nahin ki Friday ko mere birthday hai…(he walks sadly towards the window and turns his back to karan still in the act. Karan feeling guilty comes towards him and puts his hand on his shoulder)

Karan: dude…im really sorry yaar…(shaan turns to face him making an innocent face)

Shaan: koi baat nahin yaar hota hai…

Karan: no you're right…hum dost hai aur mujhe meri dosti theek se nibhaani chahiye…wanna celebrate?

Shaan: tum mere saath celebrate karoge? (giving karan a big smile)

Karan: of course! I mean…agar tum mere saath celebrate karna chaho tho

Shaan: of course yaar kaisi baat kar rahe ho!...arre main tho kam ke baad tumhe invite bhi karne vaala tha

Karan: invite??

Shaan: haan! Friday ko ghar pe party hai

Karan: kya?? Par mujhe laga ki hum ek chota sa get together karenge sunshine ke saath...aur teri koi girlfriend…

Shaan: dude…Shaantanu Khandelwal ka janaam din hai…aise todi koi choti celebration hogi…aur issi occasion pe mujhe tujhe kisi se milwana hai…

Karan: Shaannn…

Shaan: arre yaar teri setting nahin karvaani hai…humari lawyer hai…jis deal pe hum kam kar rahe hain property milne ke liye hume lawyer ki zaroorat hai..aur main ek bohut achi lawyer ko janta hoon…she's my friend

Karan: you mean ex girlfriend…

Shaan: I mean friend okay?...hum dono sirf ache dost hai

Karan: really? Shaantanu Khandelwal ek ladki se sirf dosti bhi kar sakta hai?

Shaan: tum shaan ko abhi theek se jante nahin ho…she is very nice and waiting for Mr Right type..tho main kaise uska dil todta yaar

Karan: yeh kyun nahin bolte ki agar tu aisa karta then she would have sue you

Shaan: voh bhi hai but that's not the point…the point is ke Friday ko ghar pe meri bday party hai aur tum aaoge LoveGuru ke saath

Karan: par shaan main…

Shaan: dekh…tu already mera dil bohut dukhaya hai ab bas kar…(karan finaly give up)

Karan: yaar tu aur sunshine naa shaadi kar lo! Dono ek number ke dramebaaz ho!

Shaan: oye mera bday week hai…aise mauke pe good wishes dete hain log…saale mujhe aisi baad dhuan mat de…

Karan: ohh hello..khush ho ki maine sunshine bola..uss se achi ladki tujhe mil hi nahin sakti samjhe!

Shaan: maine kab kaha ki voh achi ladki nahin…but she is my friend aur kafi bossy hai tho aisi biwi…no thanks

Karan: acha? Im sure khanak ko bhi khushi hogi yeh jaan kar ke tujhe voh bossy lagti hai…

Shaan: listen..main uss se darta nahin samjha…aur tu yeh dhamki dena band kar aur ghar jaa ke apne bossy dost ko party ke bare mein inform kar…

Khanak: what??...Friday shaan ka birthday hai aur voh ab bata raha hai!...and he is soo stupid aaj subah main ussi ke saath thi par voh idiot iss baat ka zikr tak nahin kiya!

Karan: relax sunshine it's not a big deal yaar

Khanak: not a big deal??! Are you kidding me! Karan we're Wednesday…aur uss idiot ka bday Friday ko hai…we have only one day! Ek din mein main uske liye koi gift todi dhoond sakti hoon!

Karan: koi baat nahin khanak hum saath mein jaayenge…kuch naa kuch tho milega

Khanak: acha hai ki usne aaj bataaya varna im sure Friday ko hi bolta stupid! I've seriously never seen such a stupid guy in my life! Dekhna..main uss stupid shaan ke liye ek stupid sa gift kharid loungi uski stupid bday ke liye!

Karan: ho gaaya?...ab main bhi kuch bolun? (khanak looks at him trying to calm her anger) tum itna tension kyun le rahi ho…jahan tak main tujhe janta hoon..kisi ki pasand ya naa pasand jaan ne mein tumhe ziada waqt nahin lagta…aur shaan ko tho hum ab mahinon se jante hain..so just chill kyunki shaan aane vaala hai ek file lene aur main nahin chahta ki tum uss se kuch kaho okay?

Khanak: fine! Stupid! (the door bell rings and it was shaan as axpected)

Shaan: hey LoveGuru!..(he notices a glimps of anger in khanak's expression) kya baat hai itna khush kyun lag rahi ho? (karan takes a step closer to him and whispers)

Karan: ziada bol mat gussa tum par hi hai…(shaan looks at him confused)

Shaan: main…ab maine kya kiya…(he thinks for a sec and something stokes his mind and he looks at karan shocked) tumne??!!...khanak don't believe him!..voh baat bilkul sach nahin hai I really didn't mean it (both karan and khanak look at him confused)

Karan: kya??

Shaan: kya kya?!...main tho bas aise hi keh raha tha tera mood theek karne ke liye yaar!

Karan: matlab tumne mujhse jooth kaha?

Shaan: of course yaar! Maine bas uss moment pe khanak ke bare mein aisa kaha par I didn't mean it..aur tumne aa ke uss se keh diya

Khanak: kya kaha?

Shaan: ke tum bohut bossy type ki ladki ho par main tumhare bare mein aisa bilkul nahin sochta…(karan was signing him to stop but it was too late. Khanak's mouth formed an O on hearing this and her anger grew)

Khanak: main tumhe bossy lag rahi hoon???

Shaan: nahin..bilkul nahin…

Khanak: ek tho apna bday late batate ho aur upar se meri burai karte ho…(she was taking a step with each word towards shaan and karan comes and stops between both of them)

Karan: ok enough guys!..mera mood bilkul nahin hai tum dono ki baachpaana sehne ke liye so you better stay quite!...tu rukh main file laata hoon (looking at shaan)

Khanak: main laati hoon…study mein hai?

Karan: haan..ek red file hai..(khanak goes to bring the file) desk ki first drawer mein hogi..(but khanak already left so did not hear that)

She enters the study and first checks on the desk but did not find any red file. She then without realising opened the second drawer and instead of the file she finds the album. When she opens the album she gets shocked to find Shilpa's pictures but her boubts get clarified about karan's behaviour. Her heart pinched knowing that her best friend was in pain. It's been five years since their break up and in five years one can forget a heartbreak but it wasn't the same with karan. Karan is a person who loves wholeheartedly and that's what he did with Shilpa. He loved her unconditionaly and to forget this girl it might take him a lifetime.

On the other hand shaan and karan were still waiting for the file.

Karan: kahank file mili ya main aaoun? (she quickly puts the album back and finding the file in the first drawer leaves from there)

Khanak: here…

Shaan: ok ab main chalta hoon mujhe toda kam hai…I'll see you guys later…

It was finaly Friday and the party had started. Guests were already there and shaan was waiting for his friends to come. After some time karan and khanak reach also and shaan gets happy to see them.

Shaan: thank god tum dono aa gaaye! Mujhe tho laga ki party khatam hone se pehle poonchoge nahin

Karan: it's all her fault! Subah se tayaar hone mein itna time lagaaya (shaan looks khanak from head to toe and smiles)

Shaan: well…agar tum Shaantanu ke liye itna kuch kar rahi thi tho its ok I really don't mind…you're looking outstanding…(khanak smiles)

Khanak: tumhara bday hai naa..iss liye tumhe kuch kahungi nahin

The party was on and they were having fun all together. Khanak catching up with Madhvi and Khushboo as it's been a while now and karan was with Akshay. He really liked Akshay he was like an alder brother to him. He always used to give karan some business advices.

He sees that Shaan was at the dorrway still waiting for someone as he checked his watch every two mins so he excused himself to join him.

Karan: kya hua shaan kisi ka wait kar rahe ho?

Shaan: haan yaar…pata nahin kahan reh gaayi

Karan: vaise tumhari voh lawyer dost kahan reh gaayi? I thought tum aaj hume milvaane wale the…(shaan smiles looking at karan)

Shaan: not bad bachu!..itni betabi!

Karan: dude mein kam ke bare mein bol raha hoon…

Shaan: oye! mera bday party chal raha aur aaj main tujhe lawyer se nahin apne dost se milvaounga…vaise ussi ka wait kar raha hoon..par tu tension mat le voh bas abhi aati hogi im sure trafic mein phas gaayi hogi

Karan: anyway..main drink lene jaa raha hoon tu aayega?

Shaan: no thanks im fine…tum jao main kuch hi der mein aata hoon

Shaan had enough to wait for his friend so decide to get a drink. A girl entered Khandelwal house looking around for someone. She was wearing a light pink salwaar and was holding a beautiful bouquet in her hands. She looks around again hoping to see the face she was looking for but saw another familiar face…Akshay. She smiles seeing him talking to a couple probably. But the moment she reached there Aksay without noticing her left with a man.

Girl: damn! Akshay bhaya bhi chale gaaye…

She whispered to herself but did not realise that she was close enough to the couple who heard her. The couple was Karan and Khanak. Hearing the voice from behind first confused karan but he soon recognized it..the voice was too familiar to him it sounded really special..it sounded like her voice. His heart skiped a beat thinking that it might be her just behind him.

Haha awe khanak and shaan always fighting like kids and poor karan has always have to come inthe middle and awe his already heartbroken and cant forget her and now he meets her after 5 years and she's shaans friend and lawyer too so they will have to meet each other a lot I wonder what happened that she broke up with him anyways great update and can't wait to read more 😊
