i came to the forum yesterday after almost a week and noticed some things bothering our new friends. basically the issues are;
1. Rasam are not being given good dialogues and enough screen time to perform.
Rasam Dialogues:
regarding the first issue. well, i honestly feel that it is true to some extent but not entirely. rahul may have OTT filmy dialogues but sam is given pretty good lines, the best amongst the newbies actually. so i don't necessarily think we can put the whole blame on the dialogues yaar.
Rasam Screen Time:
someone here said that priyanka and manish have not been given enough screen time. guys, aisa bilkul nahi hai! it's actually the complete opposite! mayanka ki entry ko 3 weeks hone waley hein. if you look at the episodes during these weeks, you'll find that priyanka and manish have in fact had the most screen space. if you don't believe me, please verify it yourselves.
Mayanka's Performance:
also yaar, everyone keeps saying that mayanka have not returned to their real potential yet because of this reason or because of that reason etc. i feel an actor needs to rise above all the flaws of a script and yet able to potray the scene with conviction. we can't really say that manish or priyanka will deliver but only;
if the dialogues are punchy.
the screenplay is perfect.
the director gives apt cues.
agar har waqt yeh cheezein poori hoon tu phir ek actor ka kya kaam reh jata hai? realistically apeaking, all these things are not always possible together in a scene especially in indian telly. an actor has to make do with what he or she is given and still deliver🤔
2. Shanak fans are biased and thus reluctant to accept Rasam.
i was kinda hurt to read that many of the new members feel that we are being unfair to rasam because of our love towards shanak. of'course it's natural to be biased towards one's favourite jodi but on this forum, i can proudly say that's not the case with most members.
in fact, we have always been the first ones to appreciate any good rasam scene and a good performance by manish or priyanka. you guys can come to the DT and CC and you'll see the same. as for our not being ardent fans of them as actors as yet, all i'll say is that they are improving but still need to make more of an effort. but that doesn't mean that we have tagged them as bad actors or that we only say such things regarding their performance.
i mean, have you guys ever noticed how much we scrutinize karan and yashashri regarding their expressions and acting. agar unka ek expression bhi idhar udhar ho jata hai tu we don't spare them at all. so compared to them, i feel we are giving rasam a lot of space. we are more appreciative than critical. i would say that we are hard on yasharan and not mayanka!😆
my darlings! most of us (shanak fans) have been blaming the dialouges and CVs for uninspiring rasam scenes. if we hated manish or priyanka, we would have outrightly said that they are not good actors. but we know that they have a lot of potential and can deliver so instead of targeting them, we have always blamed the CVs. please ab tu aap log aisa mat kaho k hum mayanka ko like nahi kartey and only side with shanak😊
P.S.
the purpose of this post is certainly and absolutely in no way to offend anyone. just clear up some misunderstandings that i see brewing at the forum. the new members who are mayanka fans don't know me but sehju and sid do. i know for sure that these two will take this post in the right spirit and explain my perspective to their friends.😳
it is also not a post for argumentative debate or camping. it's just a neutral opinion aimed at removing some misconceptions as they say, 'clear the air'. so please don't view it as something else. i beg you all!😆
