No "man" should expect his wife (KNOWING that she is a v-----) to be "educated"
Its silly and gross!

its not coaching he or so just that as she is avoiding that talk with him on that aspect so he wanted to convey his feeling that this is wht i want .but she said yes to him without reading the whole book he asked her to read it but she got the hint wht he wanted and she is ready to do it for the love of her life had hubby and make herself complete with this gesture

Hey aditee,
It's ok to voice your opinion and I understand that we all have different opinions.
Shaan could have used a better way to SR, but he respects his wife, loves her and gives her time to prepare herself for all the things. I think we should be very happy to see a guy like Shaan is able to act so wisely, as we know that sometimes grownups too make mistakes.
Khanak and Shaan are from various back grounds, society, class wise too. So if he wants to follow his own ways, it is not like the way people live in modern societies. We need to eliminate the class differences first, and I think its a very good message that is being delivered here.
Everything is fair in love and war. And there is also a saying 'love is blind' when a person is deeply in love with another one, s/he won't see the class differences, status ...etc, but he would try and help his wife to make adjustments and guide her in everything.
I hope I don't sound too harsh here, and this is just my pov.

Thats ridiculous!
She has sajaofied a gazillion suhaag raat ka kamras, AND WAS LOOKING FWD TO THE NITE WITH SURAJ, but when it comes to Shaan she has NO CLUE?
Couldnt they have shown a 5-10 minute romantic clip, of them making out or something, only to be interrupted? She would darned well get a clue!
SPEAKING OF CLUES, That nite at the hotel, she fantasizes about him seducing her on the bed!
Yet she needs a book?
May be becoz I am married and was swept away by a real man, these explanations seem illogical to me!

-Most of the times it is a big no....I mean they consumate without so called understanding between them. But when we just go into the beginning how ShaNak relationship has started and moved upto this level, I think understanding is very much needed.
-It isn't because she has no idea of SR that she was asked to read the book. She knows SR but just as a name, so she needed to find out more. May be its due to her being a village girl, uneducated that she has not known much about it, when it comes to real.
-Even I'm married and yes we have access to everything and may be that's the reason why we tend to know things.
It shows us how different that the people of villages are than from the people from cities.

I did not expect this from a show where, thus far, all romantic encounters between the leads have been, so subtle, refined, sophisticated and understated👏👏👏
I cannot believe Swapnaji and her team are so immature to have approved it

I felt almost the same. I wrote it in your saree thread, as after reading the book what that girl is going to do if she is so much ignorant.

i think they showed her ex-marriage scene, then that means she was despite being a villager knows or aware of such things in life. more over, the serials are running for long time, and this one came as the new and they should show something new... just because of the actiing of the leads the track survived... i should say so... everyone likes the leads .. anyways.. i thought they would show something like the girl imitate the book scene ... luckily they changed the whole scenario.. i don't think SR will be in the near future episodes... they put the viewers in expectations... the divorce track they brought has more serious effects.. it may put shaan feel inferior or he will keep doubting himself.... let us see...

Amrita,
the magic of the act of love is more attractive because of whats NOT being said.
Its kind of gross and inappropriate of him to make her read a book
I get this feeling that, because there is no much adulation for Shaan/KT its impossible for folks to admit or accept when he makes a wrong move
I see people only constantly gushing on this forum, in the hope that the CVs would read it and give us more "intimate" scenes I guess. Our gratitude does not have to be so extreme......Agreed the lead guy is the best looking on desi tv today
In such a scenario there is no room for rational thought.
The only dissenting opinion I have read is from you and Dancingdoll in your daily updates, where you pin point ridiculous plot ideas
I dont think any of the 12-XX single women on this forum would like to be handed a book on SR, EVEN if their prospective hubby looked like KT, there is something about a man taking the lead and calling the shots😳 (I consider myself to be extremely progressive as far as women's rights go)

I understand your opinion, I think the track is rather silly as well..but one thing I don't get is..why are you bringing the actor into this? You have to understand that the actor and character are different people, with completely different personalities.😳 Mentioning KT and his opinions doesn't even relate to your topic..come on, please don't bring the actors into this. They actually visit the forum..criticizing the characters and the show is fine, but not the actors(unless its on their acting.)
and about the topic..I don't see why Shaan is using a book to express his thoughts as well. I guess it's all just to give a show a comic touch due to all of the divorce seriousness that's going on right now..I haven't been looking too much into the track so can't really say anything more.
I'm pretty sure the track ended with yesterday's episode..so it's back to normal now. (:

Nitz.. bang on.. you beat me to this comment.😆
I agee with Nitz.. understand where you are coming from about the track.. but there is no need to get the actor in this.
So about the track.. we have to understand that this is a daily INDIAN show.. it is but expected that there will be tracks as such as they cater to a variety of audiance with different age groups .. and not only the mentally extreme smart and mature.. that need meaning from this show. (no offence to the other catageory that i am a part of😆) IF we expect life lessons and meaning from such shows.. well we have to realize this is REEL life.. we have REAL Life for that😳.
Oh btw.. i don't mind the track... i get my 30 mins of crazyness from this.. and i loveeeeee the pink shirt.. love it.. (watches Teech cringe😆)
