In hot seat - Khanak and Shaan

Hailing from different background and instilled with different ideologies, Khanak and Shaantanu surprisingly have a similar take on love, life and friendship. Like they say, a couple start thinking alike after staying together for a while.

For the duo friendship is the key ingredient to any relationship. Shaan who can't be believed to be transformed into a caring guy now speaks Khanak's language. The girl who holds family values before anything easily comprehends Shaan's lingo. In relationships would you – Compromise or Confront?

Khanak: I think confront because whenever there is a confrontation between a couple ,it strengthens the relationship. I used to fight with Shantanu before but the hatred is gradually transformed into love.

Shaan: I am an adjustment oriented guy and wouldn't mind compromising for a situation. But also would emphasise on the fact that its better to confront before a problem becomes big enough to fester a relationship.

Whose advice do you take in matters of the heart- Family or Friends?

Khanak: I follow my heart.

Shaan: My dad and mother. My dad is my best buddy and I share everything under the sun with him. I take my mother's advise as being a woman, she exactly knows what another female would want in a given situation and how she feels. Women speak in language alien to men, so its better to confide in a lady to know the best possible solution to your problem.

If you had to pick one - Fame, Fortune or Love?

Khanak: Love is permanent,fame is temporary and fortune is decided.

Shaan: My pick would be fortune. If you have a good fortune, you will have everything in life - fame, money and love.

Love or Lust?

Khanak: Love is immortal and lust again is temporary.

Shaan: Love is always coupled up with lust. Love is a lustful act. You always get attracted to a person first before falling for her.

Which is more important- Friendship or Love?

Khanak: Friendship because it is the first step towards love.

Shaan: Like I said, friendship is the foundation to love. Foes can never fall in love.

You would pacify your lover – by expressing true feelings or by giving gifts.

Khanak: I think I will try both because expressing your feelings is more important and then one can give nice romantic gift.

Shaan: I never believe in showing off. I don't like the idea of wooing a girl with your money. If someone loves you, she would be happy in any given situation. Love doesn't mean pacifying someone with money. I will try to convince her with my true and honest feelings.

Describe Khanak in one word?

Khanak is a boy with traits of a woman. She is like a boy trapped inside the body of a woman. She loves to behave like a boy all the time and does what we do. She is a dutiful and doting wife.

Most memorable moment spent with Khanak?

I think her dream sequence where she gets intimate with me is my favourite sequence (laughs). I am a die-hard romantic guy and it was great shooting the scene with him. Infact, many a times I used to interrupt my director and suggest him ways and methods to shoot the scene which obviously annoyed him to no end.

The best quality about Khanak?

Before being a wife, she is a great friend. Friendship is the stepping stone to love.

Ideal date with Khanak would be?

In a hotel room with noone to disturb us. No bitchy bhabhis and dominating mother to trouble us. Khanak values and likes small things in life so she wouldn't care about an expensive and lavish date. All she needs is love around her.
