Episode starts with Rano blocking Ranbir's father's way. One of his men tell Rano to move and asks if she knows who the man is. Rano replies saying that whoever he is, he's not higher than God and that in God's home everyone is equal. Ranbir's father lets Rano go pray first and while she's leaving, his other son (I'm guessing Ranbir has an older brother) go to stop her but gets stopped by his father. Rano comes out and prays hoping that she can fulfill Gurcharan's wishes and leaves. Then Ranbir's father goes inside the gurdwara. When they're outside, his son , Dharam, asks why he stopped him and not today because Ranbir's coming home today.
Rano meets her friend Nimi who asks her why she argued with the rich people and Rano gets angry saying that just because they're rich doesn't make them better than everyone else. While they're walking, Dharam and his father drive past them and in the process splash water on Rano's salwar. Rano and Nimi get angry and talk about how the rich people are cruel and mean.
Nimi and Rano are eating and Nimi starts complaining to Rano howRano's mother is mean to her and that Rano should find a nice boy and get married or else Kamla won't let Rano live in peace. Rano replies saying that Kamla is not her mother, she's her father's wife. Nimi agrees saying that if Kamla was a mother, she wouldn't have treated Rano this way. Then she asks Rano if she ever thinks about herself and dreams of her prince charming. Rano replies that she does think about him and is waiting for him to come and change her life and while she is thinking about him, they show the back of a guy's head. Then the old lady smiles and tells Rano maybe he's already here and that he's near Rano. She tells Rano that Rano should recognize her love and not let it go and leaves laughing happily. Nimi gets excited saying that maybe what the lady said might come true. She asks Rano if she's still waiting for the gari wala. Rano starts thinking about him and in her thoughts she says that she's waiting for him and thinks about him. They show the same guy putting a chain in his pocket and sort of has it hanging out. Nimi pulls Rano out of her thoughts and says that Rano should wait for someone who has hope of coming or at least promised to come. Rano replies that in this wait there is no promise or hope and how 15 years ago he came into her life and helped her.
At the mansion, Ranbir's family comes back from the gurdwara and his father asks his daughter about Ranbir. The guy with the chain in his pocket and the back view comes and takes blessing from his father and the show Ranbir's face. Ranbir takes blessing from his brothers, Dharam and Vicky, as well as from his sisters-in-law(one of them is because of the sindoor. Not sure about the other girl) and comes back to his father asking about someone (sorry I missed the name. I think it was Preeti behenji or something) and it turns out she went out for some work. Ranbir leaves with his sister to give her the new doll he bought for her. While the leave, Ranbir's father looks on sadly saying that even though his daughter is grown up, she still isn't grown up mentally.
One of the guys who was with Ranbir's father at the gurdwara, Bila, tells Vicky about the girl. Vicky pulls out a gun and is about to go but his father stops him, saying that Vicki still hasn't gotten his licence yet and that big people shouldn't personally deal with small people. He tells Vicky to calm down because he doesn't want to deal with all this since Ranbir is here and leaves with Bila. Vicky says some dialogue which I didn't quite understand but he's still mad and wants to deal with the girl.
Ranbir sneaks up behind his Biji and gives her a hug. Biji gets happy and wishes for his long life as she might die any moment since she's old. They have a nice grandma-grandson moment and Biji tells Ranbir how she only has one wish, to see Ranbir and Vicky get married. Ranbir laughs saying that he's too young to get married and who knows when Vicky will decide to get married. They start talking about what kind of girl Ranbir wants and Ranbir describes her saying that she's 40-50 years older. Basically he was joking and was talkin about Biji. Biji tells Ranbir that he's different from his brothers and that he shouldn't become like them while Ranbir's father listens at the door. He comes and gets mad at Ranbir saying that he was supposed to go to the factory but he's here instead. Biji looks angrily at her son. After Ranbir leaves, he asks Biji what she was teaching his son and she replies saying that she's telling him to lead life the right way and not be bad. Ranbir's father looks angry and disagrees. He reveals how his fathr, Biji's husband, got tired of living in poverty and killed himself and leaves saying that he can't forget that moment while Biji says that that one moment changed her son's thinking.
Rano and Nimi are shopping at a stall for clothes when Bila arrives with Vicky and some men. They walk up to Rano and Vicky points the gun at her. Nimi pushes Vicky, loosening his grasp on Rano. Rano runs away while Vicky and his men chases her in their jeep. Rano sees a motorcycle coming, which happens to be Ranbir's, and stops him. She hops on and tells him to go. After a while he asks her why he's running but she refuses to tell him so he stops and tells her to get off. Her dupatta gets caught in the chain that was in Ranbir's pocket and tries to get it out while Vicky and his men are getting closer. While she's trying to get it out, she stops as she looks closely at the chain.
Pre-cap: Kamla is with the mukhiya when Rano comes home. Kamla gets mad at Rano saying that she disgraced them by going against the rich people
