In their first meeting Lord Ram praised Lord Hanuman with following words:
"He is the minister of that noteworthy soul and king of monkeys, Sugreeva... whom alone I cherish, but he himself has drew nigh of me, on his own... Soumitra, with this minister of Sugreeva, the knower of sententiousness and a pleasant worded one, and one with friendliness you exchange pleasantries with that enemy destroyer Hanuma...
"Nay...the non-knower of Rig Veda, or the non-rememberer of Yajur Veda, or the non-scholar of Saama Veda... can possibly, or truly speak this way...
"Definitely grammar is severally and comprehensively learnt by him... and though much is said by him not a single word has gone amiss of verbiage...
"On his face or eyes, or on forehead or brows, or on other faculties of expression no fault is found...even at the least...
"Unexpanded, un-doubtful, un-delaying and non-dissonant is the tenor of his speech, and it comports in his chest or throat in a medium tone...
"He has orderly refinement in speech that is remarkable and un-delaying, and he speaks propitious words that are heart-pleasing
thanks purvi 😊
hanumanji is a great mind and gyani. well versed is 4 vedas and a chatur minister 2. his ways of speaking is fantastic.in his first meeting with ram he tried to influence him by his way of speaking in Sanskrit and knowledge of ved and shastras. this was a strategy to know that ram and laksman is frnd or enemy. The way in which hanumanji tried to know the identity of ram and laksman without reveling abt himself was outstanding. this influenced ramji so much that he started praising hanumanji with the wording u posted. ramji was listining 2 all this and was not revealing abt himself. he led his bhakta to reveal him with his knowledge but hanuman failed.
when hanumanji came 2 know that the person is non other than ramji he felt so much guilty because he was showing his knowledge to his swami that he fell on ramji leg and started weeping .
