In all the episodes, I have seen Laxman guarding Ram and Sita when they are sleeping. When did he sleep? Didn't he need any rest?

Dandak forest was very dangerous. After Viraadh incident Laxman's concern for the safety of Ram-Sita increased. He controlled his sleep by using special Vidyas taught by Rishi Vishwamitra. He also controlled his hunger. He used to eat very less so that he can keep himself awake. Some versions of Ramayan say that he transferred his sleep to Urmila so that he could gaurd his bhaiya-bhabi without any break n Urmila could spent those 14 years easily.

Lakshman did not sleep for 14 years. He was able to achive this because of his knowledge of Bala-Atibala that he obtained from Rihi Vishwamitra. It is bec of this that he was able to defeat Meghnad as Meghnad had a boon from Brahmaji that he would only be defeated by one who has not slept for 14 years.
