yes kumbhakarn part was touching and hilarious too and i was trying to imagine a small fat man who with special effects looks like a big huge rakshas.. the actor here rakesh deewana is not tht huge guy hehe


and khal ya i think some sequences r missing, i have hardly seen indrajeet scenes since his entry few weeks back..

even in this kumbhkarn waking scene he is not there..

thats why i think episodes r jumping

Today, Kaikesi narrated to Mandodari the story of the death of Malee, her father going underground, her own marriage to Rishi Visharvas & how she instigated Ravan to seize Lanka.

I read up the original to see if it was her who actually instigated Ravan, and she was. I also read there that Kumbakarna actually married after he had received a boon from Brahma to sleep, so poor Vajmamala married him after knowing that he'd be asleep 99% of the time. Incidentally, Vajramala was the daughter of Virochan's daughter - something I was wondering when Vibs first told me about it 2 years ago.

Oh, and when Indrajit was born, he made a roar similar to that of the clouds, which is how he got his name.

Next week - Ravan gets Lanka, goes to war w/ Kubera and seizes the Pushpak viman and expels Kubera.

i have hardly seen indrajeet apart from the opening scenes,

he hasnt been seen when kk uncle came around

he didnt show up when the family talks r going on

makes me think the clips r not shown in order

even today when kaikesi was narrating story in betwen they showed ram and sugreev talking who says all parties hv returned without any news

When I saw the end of today's episode, it did look that way. Kaikesi describes to Mandodari how Ravan promised her Lanka, and after that, it switches to a storm, where Rama & Lakshman come out of the cave, & Sita gives Trijata a bhashan about how the storm is Raghunandan Rama, etc etc.

Anyway, I don't think Meghnad features prominently until his battle w/ Hanuman.

ya more scenes of meghnaad come later but at this stage also meghnaad is very much there

i still feel episodes r jumping or not in proper sequence

Ok, today the story of Ravan's war w/ Kubera continued - Ravan executing Kubera's messenger, battling Kubera in court, confiscating the Pushpak viman from him...

Then they went to that lame story of Rama pretending to marry 4 more wives. That was totally out of character - Rama afaik was never the teasing type, particularly for someone who worshipped him like Sita.

I dunno whether they showed the part of Kaikesi meeting Sita - I missed it if they did. They had really long commercial breaks w/ that Meter Down ads.

chandra kaikesi never met sita i think so, it was always mandodari ravan or surpankha visiting sita

but it was so boring episode today nothing happening

and no meghnaad appears since so many episodes

hmm..sorry im lost. which episode/show you guys are discussing?!! NDTV Ramayan? is it on-air again?
