Sumant - Pranam maharaj. The news is not good. Chakrant nagri's king Subahu has caught our horse. Maharaj Shatrughan tried to reason with him a lot but he does not want to listen.
Ram - What does king Subahu want?
Sumant - He has challenged us for war and said that he will return the horse only if he loses the battle. Maharaj Shatrughan has accepted the challenge.
Vashishth - Maharaj Subahu is a dharmatma and is of good conduct. How can he become an obstacle in this work?
Ram - Gurudev, now we have to fight whether the enemy is a dharmatma or a sinner.
Laxman - Bhaiya, if you allow me, then shall I go and show my power to Subahu?
(Why is Laxman always ready for war?)
Ram - No Laxman. When Shatrughan has the whole army, senapati and Hanuman, then we do not have to worry. I trust them completely. (To Sumant)Send message to Shatrughan that no innocent should get killed. Our purpose behind the yagna is welfare of people and that purpose must be served.
In the battle-ground
Shatrughan's senapati - Prince Daman, I warn you for the last time. If you wish good for you and your kingdom, then return the horse.
Daman - Senapati, do not worry about what is good or bad for me. Khatriyas never run away. If you are also a kshatriya, then fight with me.
The armies from both sides come face to face.
Senapati - Prince Daman, you should surrender. Otherwise your death is certain.
Daman - I am a warrior. I am Maharaj Subahu's son. One, who can defeat me, is not yet born.
They shoot arrows. Both are equal. The armies fight.
(Why have they left the chariots? Do they like fighting only as infantries?)
Subahu's messenger - Maharaj, our army is losing. We will be defeated.
Subahu - That cannot happen. I will myself go to the war.
(When from Chakrant nagri, the prince, the king himself, and any warrior including best of warriors could fight, then it does not make sense that Shatrughan initially sent only his army with the senapati. It would have made more sense if Shatrughan and Hanuman had gone for war in the beginning itself.)
Daman gets injured.
Senapati - Soldiers, make him captive.
Subahu - Wait
Senapati - What do you want, maharaj Subahu?
Subahu - I want war and only war with the one who has injured my son. By injuring my son, you have invited your death.
Senapati - Warriors use their weapons to talk, maharaj Subahu.
Both Daman and Subahu fight with Shatrughan's senapati.
Hanuman - What is the matter Shatrughan bhaiya? You look worried.
Shatrughan - I myself will have to command the army.
Hanuman - When I am here, then why do you need to go into war.
Shatrughan - The situation is serious.
Hanuman - Do not worry. I will go and shatter Subahu's ego.
Shatrughan - All right, Kesari nandan.
Hanuman - Jai Sri Ram.
Hanuman goes into the battle field and hits Subahu with gada. Subahu looks up and sees Hanuman. Subahu recites some mantra and a gada comes in his hand. Then he also moves up.
(Did Subahu also have power to move into the sky? If both could fly, then they could as well have fought on the ground itself.)
Subahu and Hanuman fight. They run on clouds as if running on ground. Hanuman has upper hand. He hits Subahu with his foot and Subahu falls on the ground. He falls unconscious.
In his mind's eye, Subahu gets darshan of Lord Vishnu.
Subahu - I was ignorant, prabhu. That is why I insulted you. My sin is not worth forgiving. I am adharmi. But if possible, then give me shelter on your feet.
Vishnu - Subahu, the tears of your repentance have cleansed your son. Now you are free from the rishi's curse. In future, ignorance and ego will not even touch you.
Subahu - That is all I wanted prabhu. Jai Sri Ram.
Subahu opens his eyes.(Without a parachute, he fell from clouds and is alive.)
Subahu - Jai Sri Ram. Jai Sri Ram.
Daman - Father, what are you doing? Ram is our enemy. You are singing his glories?
Subahu - Ram is not our enemy. He is Lord Vishnu, the protector of the whole universe. He gave darshan to me. He has freed me from my sins. He has freed me from a curse.
Daman - Take your weapons, pitaji. We can still win this war.
Subahu - Now the whole world is full of Sri Ram for me. There was a time when, proud of my strength, I had refused to accept Sri Ram as Lord Vishnu. Then rishi Asital cursed me to lose my knowledge. I caught his feet. Then he said that I would regain my knowledge when Hanuman's feet touch me. Today I got freed from the curse and got the darshan of Sri Ram. Go son and bring the horse.
Daman does the same.
The horse reaches just ourside Valmiki ashram.
Luv reads - Emperor Ram's ashwamedh yagna's this horse has been released for roaming freely. Whoever bows to it will get the protection of Maharaj Sri Ram. Whoever dares to catch it will have to accept the challenge of war with Maharaj Sri Ram's army.
Luv's friend - How nice this horse looks. Only a king can ride this horse.
Luv - That is why, such a message is written on it.
Luv's friend - Let this horse go.
Luv - I will take it to the ahram and see who comes to get it.
Shatrughan's soldiers reach there.
Soldiers - Where are you taking the horse? Didn't you see what is written on it?
Luv - I saw and read. That is why I am taking it. Go and tell Maharaj Sri Ram that I have accepted his challenge.
Soldiers laugh - So you will fight with Maharaj Sri Ram. You are a child. That is why we are not punishing you. Release this horse.
Luv - I will not.
Luv's friends run away.
Soldiers - Catch him.
Luv sets an arrow on his bow.
Luv - Stop or you all will be killed. I have to ask some questions to Mahraj Sri Ram. If you want your welfare, then send him.
Some soldiers move forward to get the horse. Luv shoots an arrow. The arrow rains fire and Shatrughan's soldiers run away.
Precap
Sumant - Maharaj, in a forest, two boys have caught the horse. They have even defeated our army including our senapati.
Ram - How can two boys defeat our army?
Sumant - Maharaj, those two boys are amazing. It looks like they are Suryavanshis.
Ram wonders - Who could they be?
