Can this thread replace the 'Daily Discussion Thread' under Important topics above once that thread reaches 150? Since this thread is a superset of that one?
I'm glad you did this - this is a great way of pinpointing places. If only I could find a way to mark the map.
Valmiki may not have lived in Chitrakoot when Rama sent Shatrughan to Madhupura. He may have been at the point where your yellow line meets the Ganga.

Somehow, I had this route in mind that Shatrughna took to Mathura....The thin yellow line in this pic.I possibly do not think he would taken a detour to visit Valmiki esply when he was on "Mission Lavanasur"But then there seems to be no mission for Shatughna in this serial 😔😡
The notes in white - are they yours?? Chandrakant, which was founded for Lakshman's son Chandraketu, was a city in Karupadhadesh, which was in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is more likely in or near Nepal, since the place in the map is not in the foothills of the Himalayas.
As for the plot here, what originally looked like a combined religion-history serial is looking increasingly like one of those ghost stories that our aunts used to tell us, like todays episode about the Naga ruler wanting to sacrifice Kush & Luv so that he can become the king of the Nagas👎🏼
I'm finding it impossible to justify continuing to watch this serial.
Looking at the earlier map, it accurately pinpoints Kaushalya's origin as being from S Kosala. Note that this was a different kingdom in today's Chattisgarh. There is no way it could have become a part of Ayodhya for contiguity reasons alone. Also the Ashwamedha yagna clearly states that the ruler of Kosala was Bhanuman - don't have that exact verse with me at the moment.
So if the blue border around S Kosala is meant to indicate that it was under Dasharath/Rama, that would be inaccurate.
P.S. Congratulations on 400!!!
