So, what exactly is she in this story? And was it possible to get the name of the actress at least from these guys?

I haven't been able to find out her real name. She plays the role of Gayatri - the hero's mother. She is the mother of Sumer and wife of Udhayveer, (played by Pankaj Kalra).

One of the kids I know who watches both the serials commented Dasarath and Dhanyamalini of Ramayan act as a couple in JIKMWRKM 😕

No offence meant but it was so funny when the kid asked me so innocently. 😳

A bit of bad news for you Chandraketu. They have put a couple of white hairs on the actress to denote the passing of (I think 15) years.

Maybe, in another movie/serial, they should match up Akhilendra and the actress who played Kaikeyi, 😆😆😆 particularly since there was that scene in the Ramayan where Ravan was gawking at Kaikeyi, and blamed that for the battle lasting soooooo long 😆

Shani Dev was supposed to have possessed (or gotten into or whatever it is called) Raja Harischandra when he went through the rough times of his life. Shani Dev was supposed to have influenced his life for quite a long time. I read this somewhere long long back. I am getting confused with Harischandra and Nala's stories. Let me refer and get back before I make any blunders. 😳

These costumes look really modern - or at least 19th century. Harishchandra was an ancestor of Rama, not a descendant!!! 😲

Was this co-incidental w/ the incident where Vishwamitra got Harishchandra removed from his kingdom, and then kept taxing him for Dakshina until it came to the point that he had to ask maharani Taramati for her upper garment in payment for Rohitastwa's funeral??? (Vishy meister was a major prick!!!! 😡😡😡)
