Yes , he does. He comes to visit Ram towards the end of his (Ram's) life. He demands an immediate audience with Ram. But Ram was speaking with Kaal, a messenger from Lord Brahma and had ordered Lakshman to guard the doors and let no one enter inside. It was also announced that the person who tresspasses will be punished with death. Durvasa threatens Lakshman that he will curse the whole of Ayodhya and the future generations if he was not allowed to meet Ram immediately. Thus, Lakshman himself intervened the meeting and informed Ram of the Sage Durvasa's arrival. This led to the banishment of Lakshman (Ram did not want to kill Lakshman by his own orders and Guru Vasishta suggested that he banish Lakshman as banishment is equivalent to death in the case of noble souls). But Lakshman could not bear the sentence which was worse than the death sentence. He gave up his life in the Sarayu River. (This scene was excellent in Jai Hanumaan.)
