Maybe, he wanted their input but the brothers remain silent and then he takes the decision himself.

Yep, but that's not what they were showing. They were showing him offer his brothers the kingdom, so that he could retire to the forests with Sita. That's not what you are describing. In fact, his brothers tried to dissuade him from doing this, but he stood firm and asked Lakshman to take her on her rishi visit, and leave her near Valmiki's ashram.

Also, on the godh bhari ceremony which they showed today, I wish they hadn't interrupted it with Champa, but simply allowed it to be complete. Particularly since the original has nothing about it.

Just watched finishing today's epi.
Agree Sita, the dancers at goadbharai were so mediocre👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
IThe ceremony should have been more grandeur...felt like it was lack of interest on the show maker's part😒
Why they've to make everything so dramatic?? They didn't let the ceremony pass off peacefully😡🤢
Ramji's and Hanuman's conversation was very good and comparison of Ganesha with a king also was a nice one.. So were the scenes between Ramji, kaushalya ma n Sitaji.

Yeah, the Sagars are over-dramatizing this to the point that it's on steroids

Jus saw the epi....It was good one based on the acting skills. RSK were good as always....
The 1st scene, I thought it was the wrong epi with Sita in the vanvaas dress. But I wonder how come Ram dreamt of Lakshman being the charioteer and not B or S..........😔
Hanuman's knowledge of duties of a king was good esply the Ganesh-Mooshak simile....
Also I think as per Valmiki the whole act happened in one night/day right? Bhadra coming with his news, Ram deciding, Sita exile etc. all happened within a evening/night....
But here, its like it's taking some time.........
Also, Ram's decision is not clear here, he seems to agree with Vashishta and Hanuman reg. duties of a king, but then seeks a promise from Sita that she should not leave him and also himself talks about godbharayi. If he has decided his duty as a king, why is doing it in the Zor kaa jatkaa, dheere se....style..? Didn't feel very comfortable with this portrayal....
Oh yaa, the dancers were 😲
Also, Sita could have stayed till the ceremony was complete....btw, they give her a coconut right? where is it when she gets up? She just walks away....misdirection

As per the acting skills all four episodes of the week was too good. I had wondered where Hanuman was and they showed him yesterday.

I don't understand one thing though, why make Sita promise her husband over and over again that she won't leave him and then 🤔🤔🤔

As per what the series said, I am not sure what Ram means to do. He seems to have decided upon something. (Before I jump to conclusions, I better watch the next episodes.)

And why the same promo again and again 😭

According to Valmiki, the whole event happened in a matter of a day, I think. Ram tells Sita to ask him whatever she wants and she asks to visit the sages. Then he hears the rumours and decides on the same day and I am not sure if Sita Devi leaves the same day or the next. Versions differ.

The Sagars seem to prolong Ram's pain before the decision.

Hat's off to Gurmeet ji and Debina ji - excellent performance 👏

I have never read Lord Ganesh or Lord Skanda being mentioned in the Ramayan so far. Were they already established as Gods before the Ramayan started? Or did the events in their life happen side by side with Ramayan? I think its the latter. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know if Lord Ganesha is mentioned in Ramayan, but in the Valmiki version, the birth of Skanda is mentioned by Vishwamitra to Ram while they cross the Ganges....
Infact it is believed that Kalidasa chose his title from the Valmiki Ramayan - "Kumarasambhavam"

This way, I have vividly narrated the legend of Ganga to you, oh, Rama, like that the Divine and Meritorious legend of the emergence of Kumara, namely Skanda is also narrated. [1-37-31]
And since Skanda is mentioned, obviously Ganesha is prior to Skanda, so I guess he too was established before Ramayan.

Thanks Deepa for the information on Lord Skanda. I haven't read it so far.

I was merely referring to the fact that the worship of these two Gods. I have read about people worshiping Lord Ganesh and Lord Skanda in the Mahabharat. They may have been born earlier and the events of their life may have been happening alongside the events of Ramayan. I think this is possible as the time in the world of the Gods flows slower than the time of the Earth. I had read that 30 days on Earth is equivalent to 1 day in heaven (Swarka Loka). And the higher worlds have a much slower pace.

Vibs: The worship of Ganesha is not mentioned explicitly in the main frame of Ramayana of Valmiki but Valmiki does mention "Vinayaka" in the phala-shruti of listening Ramayana in the Pattabhisheka sarga.
