You know, I am very thankful that we get to see our Indian Ithihaas and purans on television. For the most part, this is a wonderfully produced and acted show, a visual treat. So, I am not going to nitpick about some errors in production. Thanks Sagars! 👏

u know the processof applying vermillion color on hanumanji's idol is known as bandanwar(in north india ) & whenever on tuesday bandanwar is applied on hanumanji's idol in any temple it is always mixed with ghee as it makes the vermillion color more bright due to the chemical reaction of ghee with vermillion !!!

even when my parents apply bandnwar in hanuman temple they mix it with ghee as it really gets stuck well to the idol of hanumanji& it looks really bright

if vermillion is applied with water ,it won't appear as bright !! so thats the reason sagars showed hanumanji applying the vermillion by mixing it with ghee

& the room in which hanumanji went to take vermillion was the room where all the hawan samghri (hawan & yagya things were kept) as there was vermillion ,ghee ,& other stuffrelated to yagya was kept !!!

Regarding Lavanasur I had posted this in Doubts and Discussions thread. I'll post it here too.

I read in a book last evening that Lavanasur was the son of Madhu and Kumbheenasi - that makes him one of the Rakshasas. Maybe the Madhu in Yadhuvanshi was someone different.

This information sounds more credible because Lavanasur is portrayed to be a rakshas in all the versions of his story I have read.

For those who have the book "The Ramayana - A Modern Translation by Ramesh Menon' - this story is given in Uttar Kand, Chapter 31(The Asura Lavana), Page 796. This is the chapter in which Sage Chyavana comes to Ram asking for his aid along with many other sages. They tell Ram about Lavanasur, his origin and powers.

Another reason I tend to believe the fact is that though Ramesh Menon has written it in a moderns style, this book follows the Valmiki Ramayan closely.

I hated today's pre-cap - looks like they showed it all, and there's nothing left to see! Just spoilt the curiousity one would have about how things are going to be depicted. Who made this boneheaded precap?

Also, Kush & Luv were supposed to be very attractive kids, like Sita: instead, 2 very ordinary looking kids seem to have been chosen for their roles.👎🏼
