Even bharat also determines to help Ram but Hanumaan ji stops him. Kekayi asking Sumantra to invade Lanka when she saw Bharat is going to attack it not anything undigestable. I think it was very logical ......they may have reacted like that. But in the end Vasistha through his divine vision assured the queens that there is nothing to worry n Ram's victory is sure

Hi Coolpurvi, I do not have any problem with the logic. I loved the episode. All the actors acted very well and it was very restrained without any unnecessary melodrama. I loved seeing the Ayodhya vasis again. I liked all of it. I missed the Ayodhaya vasis very much and it was good to see them again. I wish they had shown Janak and his wife worrying about their daughter. It is logical to suppose, even if Valmiki didn't write it in, that Janak, his wife, and the Mitthila vasis were worried about their princess. I agree to all that. I am just wondering about this. Ramayan is an ancient and religious work. If one director shows things that he thiinks is logical, then other directors may do the same. After a while, Ramayan is watered down to a soap opera instead of a very serious religious work with a message.

di u can call me purvi

if a director adds some new thing in the epic its not wrong unless it harms the soul of the epic. In literature numerous version of Ramayan were written after Valmiki Ramayan. Some new things were added in the later versions which added beauty to it. (some cheap versions which were written with some ulterior motive to harm the image of hindu gods r exceptions).

in Valmiki Ramayn there is no mention of Lord Ram bal leela but Tulsidasji has in his version mentioned some beautiful incidents of it. In valmiki Rmayan there is no mention of Urmila's pain but in Saket Maitthili Sharan Gupt has so wonderfully described it. Such addition has added beauty only to the main story What's the harm in it. I think no way it harms our relgion.
Now its the time of electronic media so we veiwing electronic versions of Ramayan. the additions shown in new Ramayan no way harms the soul of Ramayan. Sometime it helps us to understand the story

In Ram navami when a marathon episode of Ramayn was shown in NDTV imagine one religious guru was invited he was giving some pravachan in the breaks abt Ramayan (sorry I forgot his name I saw him for the first time). In the end he said that "har kisi ka apna apna Ram hai apni Ramayan hai". For tulsidas ji he was Parameshwar so he described him as Supreme God in his version.

Purvi, There is nothing wrong with it. I did say I liked the episode very much. I had a different opinion and I was not wrong in having a different opinion. I did say "no one need agree with me." Please read my post, I did say it. I have been a member of different forums and it is always okay for members to have a different opinion and share that opinion with the members. Sorry, I did no know that freedom of expression was not a part of this forum. My lips are zipped. I should say my keyboard is zipped.

I never mind waht u said. I love debates n discussions n esp with understanting people like u. ur observation was nice. I was giving my POV on the issue. sorry if i hurted u. My POV was that if addtion adds beauty n is logical n doesnt harms the soul of the epic it ok. Its happening since long. After the original versions of Ramayan n MB numerous version of them were written. TV serials n movies r nothing but electronic versions of the epic. If me or u start writing our own version who knows we too may add few beautiful n logical things in the epic. will that amount to harming the religion or religious sentiments?

yup sometimes heros do need rest. But the cast of Ramayan is so strong. its has so many superb actors. this is the the reason why yesterdys episode rocked even without lead actors. The star cast of Ramayan from leads to other is very strong. this show simply rocks
