On November 27, it was the Thanksgiving Holiday for Christians all over the world, and although it is not a holiday generally celebrated by is Hindus, it is a nice holiday to remember what we are thankful for in our life. Here is a short explanation about Thanksgiving from wikipedia.
Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is primarily a United States and Canadaholiday which has generally become a national secular holiday with religious origins.
The date and location of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. Though the earliest attested Thanksgiving celebration was on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida[1][2], the traditional "first Thanksgiving" is venerated as having occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621.
Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members and friends.

I have an idea. How about we all list the top five things we are thankful for in our lives? I guess I'll start.
1. My family: Many people in the world are separated from their beloved ones, or have no family at all.😭 I am extremely thankful for the wonderful family I have, inculding my relatives also.😳
2. Our beautiful Hindu epics: I don't know what I would have done if my parents had not introduced me to our beautiful epics like Ramayan and Mahabharat.
3. My education: My education has given me a chance to explore the world through enlightening books and great historical people.
4. My fulfilled needs: I am sooo lucky to have a roof over my head, plentiful food, and clothes that keep me warm on cold days and nights.
5. India Forums: Last but not least, I am thankful for every single one of you.😳 These past months, I have learned so much valuable priceless information about Ramayan in Ramayan Forum and Mahabharat in KHMK Forum. I have also had so much fun getting to know many of you in this Forum through fun discussions and interactions, and thus made many friends who share lots of the same views as me.😃 No matter how many fights happened between us before, I still feel a connection with all of you, because the harsh words some of us spoke to each other were only said in a fit of hurried anger, and I for one regret many of the things I said, and I'm sure lots of you did too. After all, we all are truely friends, and devotees of Rama and Sita, and it's common to have a falling out once in awhile, but the great thing about this forum is that we have the ability to forgive each other and bring peace again.😊 I am also really thankful for our great mods: Yummys and Akhl, who have on more than one occasion, successfully brought peace to this forum. They are really very efficient in their jobs, because they not only watch over what it being said in this forum, they also join in the discussions. Many mods I know in other forums only appear once in a week or two. Great job, Akhl and Yummys!👏
One message to All: The one bond we all share is that we loooove Ramayan. It doesn't matter whether we love NDTV Ramayan, Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, BR Chopra's Ramayan, or whatever, but we love the epic Ramayan so much, it shows in our DOTW's, discussions, etc. I think we should keep this in mind when we participate in discussions, and remember that we are talking to Ram Bhakts, not just ordinary people. Having falling outs once in awhile is common, but as long as we still have the ability to forgive each other, everything will be alright.😊
