Thank you so much for all the lovely pictures. It brings back happy memories of Ayodhya when Dashrath ruled as king. Such happy times with all the family members . . . Its so refreshing to see them all again.

I am loving these pics, Sita, dear! Thanks for posting them. Besides the Swayamwar and marriage scenes, my favorite epis are when Ramji is with Dasharathji and matas. Just love it, when he puts his hand behind his head when someone puts tilak on his forehead! So cute and adorable, our Ramji!!😆😆😆

Forgive my ignorance, but why does he do that? It looks really good, but, I am curious to know if there is any reason for it or if its the custom of accepting the tilak that way.

And Mallika ji, congrats on hitting 1000. (Sorry, if its a bit late. I just now noticed it).

its a culture (among HINDUS of NORTH INDIA esp ) that one cannot take tilak from the other person wid bare head ,something like a piece of cloth like handkerchief is kept OR one puts ones hands on his/her forehead as it is considered as very auspicious !!!😛

in any festivals or in any pooja ,one cannot take tilak from the other person wid bare head ,

sometimes during the raksha bandhan occasions(where sister put tilak on the forehead of their brothers) or at times when mothers put tilak on the forehead of their children they put their saree pallu or the duppata on the forehead of their children !!!!

so that is the reason !!!!😛
