That was really enlightening.... and for God sake.... lets not go by the words of fake people who do not believe in Ram nor God! they will better understand within their life span that the supreme power exists and He has taken all Good forms to bless His followers!!!

guys even i've heard tht Ramji has himself broken the bridge frm somewhr...but nt. sure of it whether it was true or not but reason was also there ......why he has done this and its not at all any thing for the bad.... its actually on the request of Vibhishan becoz he did not want any intruder come to lanka with the help of that bridge.. and cause any harm to it... he himself can't break the bridge becoz it was made in the name of his lord....so he requested lord Ram to break it and on his request Ramji done this, and broke the bridge from middle with his arrow ... even if bridge was broken by Ramji then there is nothing wrong in that he his helping Vibhishanji, and his no way wrong in demanding such thing from Ramji as no one want any outsider came in our country and do any harm to us....
and as Indian's i believe we are very much aware of this problem ......... how is it feel when someone else overpower your country and snatch it from our hands and if Ramji has done this then he has done nothing wrong acc. to me...
Ramji was always right.... he himself knows his boundaries and taught same to others, infact by doing this he has drawn the lines for others and stop all evil from attacking at other's land, spl. in order to capture it..

If Ram did broke it then why Valmiki made no mention of it?

Kambh's Aadhyatma Ramayan was written in 9th century. In his era some portion of the setu was submerged due to rise of sea level n due to natural calamities. This might be the reason why he added the story of breaking of setu.

Temple records of Rameshwaram says that setu was indeed used as route by indians n srilankans. In lanla news paper it is mentioned that Emperor Ashoka's daughter Sanghamitra used this bridge to reach Lanka

I agree wid u that reason given this books suggest that Setu was broken for some good. But I dont believe the very fact that Ram broke the bridge himself. What's more bad is the fact that these books are quoted as justifications for breaking the setu

I do not watch Jaya TV. But I think kira ford-001 is saying the following (Kira, what is your name if you find it OK to share?): -

In Jaya TV, it was shown that Lord Ram was not good. He was a smuggler. It was also shown that Lord Ram built the bridge and later broke it himself.

As others have said, some TV channels on purpose give such kind of news for the benefits of their channels.

You did nothing wrong. You just posted what you saw in a TV channel. Nothing wrong in that. May be some members misunderstood what you were saying.
