Sage Rishyasringa (who performed the ritual for the nector)

Hello friends'..we all know that Rishyasringa at the request of King Dasharatha conducted a ritual and out of which Agni god came with the holy nector'.I m here to share some facts about Sage Rishyasringa

The whereabouts of rishiyasringa is given in the Valmiki ramayan It is said that Sage Rishiyasringa is the son of Vibhaandaka who in turn is the son of great sage Kashyap'.The birth-event associated with Rishyasringa's name is that he is born with a horn on the crown of his head. Thus he is named as Rishyasringa, i.e., em> R^iSi the Sage; shR^i~Nga horn; a Sage with a horn on his forehead at his birth time. This being the mythological import, he is an acme among sages, as shR^i~Nga also means a peak''he grew up in the forests and always dwell in the forest he never steps out of the forest''. once there was King named Rompaada who was close friend of King dasharatha and ruler of anga kingdom...during his reign there was devastating famine leading to mass destruction...'king rompada was in grief there was no solution to cop up with this famine'..then he was suggested to summon Sage Rishiyasringa'..after much perusal Rishiyasringa was brought in the Kingdom the presence of Sage rishiyasringa was so divine that Rain-god quickly showered rain in Anga kingdom'..Rompada in gratitude gave her daughter Princess Shanta to Rishiyasirnga in customary marriage ( Note: Princess Shanta was daughter Like to King Dasharatha'..in some version its said Princess Shanta was actually a daughter of King Dashartha and was adopted by Rompada )

Wen vashishta and sumantra told King dashartha about sage Rishiyasringa he immdetialy remembered his friendship with Rompada''he approached king Rompada and explained his plight on hearing the request King romapada happily gave his consent to bring rishiyasringa'.then king dasharatha travelled to the forest where he saw King romapada was present with his daughter Shanta and son in law Rishiyasringa'.King Rompada requested Rishiyasringa to travel to ayodha along with his wife shanta to ayodha and perform the holy ritual '''.and this is how Sage Rishiyasringa was brought to kingdom where he performed the holy ritual and his wife shanta was delighted as she got the opportunity to become half sister of Lord Shri Ram Laxman bharat and shathrugan''.
