To an extent, both Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas do depict how Shri Ram is the favorite son of Dashrath and his queens, because his Vishnu essence is so pleasing to the eye and fills one's soul with bhakti bhaav so they forget everything else in life, so the Ram jaap is not totally inaccurate, but this Ramayana is overdoing it. Not just the Ram jaap, Dashrath overdid his Kaikeyi favoritism in the first episode also. They are showing too much extremes, because while Ram and Kaikeyi were Dashrath's favorite son and wife, he did love the others also. He always gave Kaushalya and Sumitra proper love and respect, and he also showered a lot of affection on his other three sons. This Ramayan makes it seem like Dashrath doesn't care about his first two wives or last three sons, and same with the wives. They are acting as if they don't have other children which is just plain ridiculous.š¤ I really really dislike the actor they chose for Dashrath. He doesn't know how to deliver proper dialogues and doesn't come close to the excellence of Bal Dhuri and Pankaj Kalra, the two Dashraths of Sagar Arts' previous Ramayans.
