Sita whitewashed by DD in deer scene

Every show and kids stories they show Sita wanting deer to play and domesticate but while watching that day my father told that in Valmiki's Ramayan, there is a verse written that Sita wanted it to use its skin as comfortable mattress. DD would have changed it for a reason either to whitewash Sita in that scene or due to censorship of making mattress out of deer skin. Still they did not changed the entire thing. I mean why they will show Ram shooting arrow at the deer that also in the chest instead of trapping it with multiple arrows around it or using a net? Even if main story was hidden but still its not cool to domesticate an innocent animal and use it for for entertainment when Sita was claimed to be a goddess. Still I think DD should have shown it anyway as it was reality not some fantasy story which can be modified. They could have shown it that no person is entirely perfect but everyone has grey shades like all of us have. I don't think most people would have any issues with it.

Actually sita use to like beautiful thing deer look beautiful to sita that is why she demand deer . Sita weakness was beautiful thing

As concern ram shooting at deer , raam already know that there is no golden deer can be found anywhere in earth. So he already know that it is not deer he is someone else that is why he shoot arrow on deer

And Lord ram even told sita that sone ka mrug nahi hota means there is no golden deer and try to explain many time but sita did not listen it

This is according to change by DD but Valmiki's Ramayan actually had Sita wanting deer as her mattress. This was normal then. Even Mahadev used tiger skin as mat. So no big issue.

Seeta shown to be very kind mythology character so it is impossible that seeta will want deer skin

DD did not change anything. This is what was shown originally in the show back in the 80s. Yes, in Valmiki Ramayana Sita wanted the deer for its skin, but Ramanand Sagar followed Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas for a lot of the characterizations of Ram and Sita. In RCM, Sita merely wants the deer as a plaything (in RCM, Sita knows its Mareech too, as she's Maya Sita already by then).

As for Ram, he knew it was Mareech in disguise. That's why he aimed to kill and not to trap.

But it's written in main Ramayan. It's hard to believe but it's true. Her wanting deer for mattress not take away her kindness. Every person is grey in some way. See from 10th to 20th points.

Ab jo sach hai vo hai. We can't deny it. This single scene don't make her villain just like we are not bad for eating no-veg. As I said even Mahadev wore tiger skin skirt and sat on tiger skin mattress. Few episodes ago, some rishi sat on a tiger or deer skin. So it was normal then. We all are so obsessed with Sita's kindness and sweetness that many can't imagine her doing such a thing but she did it which was not a big deal. Valmiki's version can't be lie. Right? Anyone who read proper Ramayan will know though I myself not one of them.

Then she said if deer is dead then we will sit on golden skin mattress.

It is not that seeta wanted to sit on deer mattress any how . She has given two option if deer catch it alive then we will play with it and if deer is dead then we will sit on golden skin mattress

Yes then DD followed RCM but Valmiki one is original. RCM has modified several things. I guess they did not showed the truth to avoid negative reactions. But for me I take it as normal act for those times. Even Kali Maa wore garlands of skulls does not means she was bad. The makers researched clothing for everyone especially women but modified them because he geared how people will react seeing Sita without blouse.

Whatever it is that does not make her negative at all. Even Gods have flaws so does she atleast in that scene.

Just like in another version her attraction for golden deer cost her badly when she did not listen even after being repeatedly warned.

And if seeta did raam that to bring golden deer skin if it not capture alive then sita was not true sita

It was Maya sita who ask golden deer skin from Lord ram if not capture alive

Ram said to seeta now it is time complete my main mission that is to kill raavan

So he ask true sita to reside inside fire and request fire not to burn true sita

And maya sita is created

And raavan kidnapped Maya( illusion ) sita and in ashok vatika illusion sita was staying . It was not real sita staying at ashok vatika and here true sita reside inside fire

And Lord ram ask agni parish because so that Maya( illusion sita get vanished and real sita come out of from fire
