And I salute him for his courage to be truthful on national TV.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in it.. Marriage has to have both mental and physical aspect. Without physical attraction marriage can not succeed.

Anyone who does not think so either is bluffing himself or need to see a psychiatrist..

And I will again say hats off to Rahul for saying he does not feel physcially attracted to those two ladies and hence can not marry.

Very few people can call a spade a spade.

And there is no reason to change his words to say he is only looking for lust.

and also why are we trying to force granny's choice of sankari type girl on him? It is his life and let him choose whether he wants sankari and modern/outgoing girl.. This is year 2010 and not 1810..

wah wah sonia kitniiiiiiiiiii sanskari thi.. itni keh shaadi ka form bharna zaroori samjha ma kay operation kay paison say.

Mahajun* can say whatever... Love AND Lust, Love OR Lust, ONLY Love, ONLY Lust... it is just an irrelevant detail and a diversion from the original idea, the idea being that the guy is on the track to getting a trophy wife, perhaps with the intention of covering up his closet homosexuality.

In general, the way I see it, saying that he couldn't arouse lustful feelings for the two girls was utterly disrespectful. He could've avoided that... I believe that this was what Gossip was trying to say as well. His reasoning was inherrently flawed when he started talking about LUST, because he could've approached the issue without sexually rejecting the two girls. He could've just said he can't see eye-to-eye with the two of them on crucial matters, or something like that.
Instead however, he chose to use these girls to create an impression that he can lust for the others, except for these two (thereby also showing that he is not gay). Bravo!

Akash ji, even though I believe that sexual compatibility is essential for a partnership/marriage, I don't think that he has done anything admirable by talking about lust. Actually, by doing so he has instead given it more attention and provoked the kind of unbalanced question(s) that this thread poses. 1810 or 2010, even liberal blokes like me will frown when a woman is told on national televison that she isn't worthy of a sexual intercourse. (That was what it amounted to. And it is shameful.)

Besides, I'm not sure what this thread is about... As stated already, I believe that he is looking for a trophy wife. Or, this could just be like Rakhi ka swayamvar... Too bad, it didn't even get the TRPs...
