Summary Of Episode 14

Description of the episode :

' Ram invites the grooms to have breakfast with him, but on learning that Rakhi will be fasting till she sees the moon in the evening, they all also decide to keep a fast
' The boys are overjoyed at meeting their mothers after so long
' Elesh gets emotional and begins to cry as his mother could not make it due to his sister's wedding preparations ' so all the grooms and their mothers try to cheer him up
' Rakhi enters and touches all the women's feet

Rakhi, Manmohan and Mrs. Tiwari
' Mrs. Tiwari explains how in their family, the women of the house always have a ghoonghat in front of the elder men of the house
' She tells her that they are Brahmins ' even when they cook in the kitchen, they wear wooden slippers that have no leather
' She explains how the women have to wear chudi, payal, sindoor all the time and make masalas with a silbatta and both Manmohan and his mother are amused that Rakhi does not know what a silbatta is
' Mrs. Tiwari tells Rakhi that she will have to leave her work in Mumbai and live in Hrishikesh with them
' Mrs. Tiwari gives Rakhi some Gangajal and explains its meaning to her
' When Mrs. Tiwari finds out that Rakhi is elder than Manmohan, she says that she was not aware and that Manmohan only told her he was going for a show. She makes Rakhi keep her hand on her head and promise that it is not just a show, it is about marriage
' Manmohan, in front of his mother confirms that there is no one else in his life
' Rakhi, in her bytes expresses her concern that Manmohan's mother may not really be able to accept her

Rakhi, Manas and Mrs. Katyal
' Rakhi asks Mrs. Katyal if she is ok with the age difference ' Mrs. Katyal talks about how Manas is very mature for his age
' Manas's mom sings a few lines of a wedding song for Rakhi
' They share a good moment when Manas' mom says that she also doesn't know much housework and Manas and his father will take care of them
' Manas's mom talks about how she has no problem with Rakhi working in the film industry or believing in Jesus
' She gives Rakhi a box of chocolates and shows her an album of Manas's childhood pictures
' Manas talks about how his Mom and Rakhi shared such a good bond that he was feeling sidelined

Rakhi, Luv and Mrs. Khanna
' Rakhi is very happy that even though Luv's mom is a vegetarian, she has no problems with Rakhi eating non-vegetarian food
' Rakhi hugs Luv's mom when she tells her that she has no issue with Rakhi working in films
' Luv's mom tells Rakhi how she has no problem with Rakhi believing in Jesus
' Gives her a small idol of Ganpati and gold bangles


Rakhi, Chittiz and Mrs. Jain
' Chittiz's mom has a speech problem and so Chittiz asks questions on her behalf
' They talks about how Rakhi can take Chittiz's mom with her all over the world whenever she has shoots and take care of her that way
' Chittiz tells Rakhi that his mothers only expectation is that they all live together as a joint family
' Chittizs mom gets a tiffin box full of home cooked food but neither Rakhi nor Chittiz eat it as they are both fasting


In the evening:
' When the grooms and Rakhi are breaking their vrats, Luv's mom goes to feed him but he stops her and says that he wants to feed Rakhi first - he also kisses Rakhi on the forehead - this act angers all the men as it is the second time that Luv was behaving this way and that in front of all their mothers
' Rakhi feeds Elesh two laddoos - one from her and one on behalf of his mother so that he does not feel like he has no one there
' Some traditional Rajasthani dancers come to perform in the evening and they pull Rakhi to dance with them

'Manas's mom and the grooms also join them
' As the mothers bid goodbye to Rakhi and to their respective sons - Manas and Manmohan express their displeasure at Luv's behaviour and state that they will leave the Swayamvar if Luv is allowed to stay any longer
