Btw, just saw the precap on Insta. Shukracharya asks Dantavakra to kidnap Radha. Dantavakra kidnaps Radha and Bankey Bihari asks Tulsi to free him from her shraap so that he can rescue Radha. 😂

Today it seems they showed Krishna-Tulsi marriage and Instagram is on fire. International fans of the show are obviously angry and now they have started calling God Krishna characterless for marrying so many women and loving only Radha. I read lot of comments like, why is Krishna having multiple marriages when he loves Radha? He is cheating on Radha as well as his wives. How can Radha love and live with a man who is married to so many women? Obviously they are international viewers so they don't have any knowledge of Hindu Gods but some stupid Indian school going kids also have started calling Krishna characterless by believing whatever nonsense they're showing.

It's high time this show should end. 😂 Heard even the trps fell inspite of the hyped Bankey Bihari entry. 😀

TRPs of this show is in abyss this long. Just that channel is running it because it has some online buzz and all the shows in that channel has little or no TRP

That's my real problem with these shows, people actually start thinking that what is being shown here is true.

Suryaputra Karna already made Karna seem like someone washed with Surf Excel and then Lizol, this show is making Krishna seem like some womaniser

Now after this show people will start thinking that Krishna actually married Tulasi. Although anyone with even base knowledge knows that it was Vishnu who married her in Shaligram form. Till today we have Tusli Shaligram Vivah celebrated in many households. Will any Hindu actually respect this ritual after what they showed in this show?

I actually have heard people claiming that Brahma r**ed his daughter Saraswati. Although I don't defend Brahma for this near forced marriage (and that's just in one Purana, others have a simple marriage between the two) but it was definitely not r**e yet even Hindus say so often.

Most of us (including me) don't have good knowledge of Sanskrit, so rarely we get to read the real stuff. Most people don't even know how to get authentic translations, so these TV shows could have been some great source to educate people about our Heritage, but they make a mockery of it. Seriously pathetic

Don't know why it reminds me of a novel based on ancient Egypt. Don't remember clearly, but it is something like...To be a king it is necessary to marry the empress' daughter. The heroine of that novel loves her younger brother. But he dies. She is forced to marry her elder half brother. It is a loveless marriage. Finally her husband wants to leave her. He contemplates marrying their daughter so that he can still remain king even after that.

Brahma is considered the creator of the universe so obviously He is the creator/father of Saraswati too. But according to Shakt Purana, all the Tridevis are the children of Adi Shakti so that's not even incest

About the story you mentioned, many matrilineal cultures had such marriages common. Even ancient Zoroastrianism considered a marriage between a father daughter/mother son as the most auspicious one.

Although this wasn't much common in Indian culture, but this kind of incest happened here too, As per Buddhist literature Digha Nikaya (considered to the oldest Buddhist literature) the sons of king Okaka (probably Ikshawaku) married their sisters and had children from them after having been banished from kingdom by their step mom so as to ensure that they do not result in blood dilution (by having children from wives of other caste/outcasts)

I know it's difficult for us to believe but generally kings wanted their sons to get the throne after that, since the throne could be inherited by the sons of their sister, hence they married their sisters so that the next in throne would be their son. This maintained their blood purity too.

Heard Colors is going to make a big budget show on Parshuram. People know Parshuram mostly for two things, he entered Sita's palace angrily after Ram broke the Shiv dhanush and also for being the Guru of Karna and later cursing him. I can already imagine the amount of fiction they will add in this serial. 😂 Plus, colors is another trp crazy channel so fiction ke upar fiction, fiction ke upar fiction. 😂😂
