Devavati vows that she will get Lord Vishnu as her husband.
She finishes telling her story to Ravan.
Ravan – Only Lankesh will be your husband. You will come with me. You will be punished for insulting me because of Vishnu.
Vedavati – Who are you to punish me?
Ravan pulls her hear. Some of her hair breaks and comes in Ravan's hand.
Vedavati – Sinner Lankesh, you made me impure by touching me. I give up this body and vow that in my next birth, I will be the cause of your death.
Having said this, Vedavati immolates herself.
After recalling the incident of Vedavati, Ravan thinks that Shani can destroy Ram and Laxman. He frees Shani.
Ravan – I freed you for a special purpose.
Shani – Can I go back to my abode?
Ravan – No, you cannot go back until those forest dwellers are destroyed. You have to do this.
Shani – After that?
Ravan – I will consider. I give rewards for success and severest punishment for failure. If you are able to break the hope of those princes, then I will send you to Shanilok with honor. Otherwise
Shani – There is no question of otherwise. Who can escape Shani's wrath? Nobody can match my strength. (Then, how did Ravan capture you?) When I did not spare king Harishchandra, then how will I spare these princes? I will either force Ram's army to go back or I will destroy them.
Ravan – Go, but remember that if you disobey me, then you will be held captive by me for ever.
Shani – Wait for message from me.
Shani goes to where Vanar Sena is camping. Hanuman and Shani come face to face.
Hanuman – Pranam
Shani – Do not delude me by sweet talks. By Ravan's order, I have come to destroy Ram.
Hanuman laughs – So long I am alive, how can anybody destroy my lord?
Shani – Get out of my way. Otherwise, I will destroy you too.
Hanuman – Since I have started being in service of lord Sri Ram, I have stopped thinking about myself.
Shani – I am under Ravan. It is my duty to show my wrath on Sri Ram.
Hanuman – I also must do my duty.
Shani – Then, be ready to fight.
Hanuman says "Jai Sri Ram" and takes out his gada (club).
Shani – Not with gada. We will wrestle.
They start wrestling. Other Vanars hear the noise and come out. Hanuman says that he will fight alone. Initially Shani has upper hand. Hanuman sees Ram in his palm. He chants "Jai Sri Ram" and then he thrashes Shani. Now Shani is absolutely no match for Hanuman. Shani goes on crying in pain.
Hanuman – Shani dev, did you enjoy?
Shani – I feel lot of pain.
Hanuman – I will cure you.
Shani – I will cure myself.
Hanuman – Do not hesitate. I will cure you. I will be back soon.
Hanuman brings oil and massages Shani. Hanuman Ashtak plays in the background. Hanuman uses his power of yoga to cure Shani completely.
Shani – I am very happy with you. I promise that those who worship you will be dear to me.
Hanuman and Shani hug.
There is a story that Shani sat on Hanuman's head. They were inside a room. Hanuman increased his size because of which Shani was pressed between Hanuman and the ceiling. Then Shani said that worshipping Hanuman would make anyone dear to Shani. Therefore, if somebody's horoscope says that Shani is not favorable to him, then he is asked to pray to Hanuman.
