Do you guys feel that the Sagars or another group of directors should make a version of Ravan that corresponds with the beliefs of the commonly believed texts?

Do you think this will help us get a better understanding of the stories and interactions between Ram and Ravan?

Well, if they make a serial focusing on Ravan.........and his past.......u think it'll help us better understand the union between Ram and Ravan.....and what caused each to do what they did...............

In Ramayan, we only know where Ram is coming from......Ravan's tale is told in brief.......but many details are left out........

The Ravan show that was made..........the storyline is a bit contradictory to common beliefs.......a story like this.......in my opinion would create confusion in understanding this union........since both show different things....

However, I believe that if a version of Ravan is made with the same storyline as popular belief, then we can better and more fully understand the Ram-Ravan Sangram.......

Yes, that is correct. There should be a serial in which stories of Ravan from scriptures should be shown. The prime focus should be on Ravan.

yea but why base it on popular belief ??? why assume that popular belief is the correct one ??

I think we should here both sides of the story and then make some derieved decisions ourselves.

What current direct is presenting this very much true. If u wil watch B R Chopra's Ramayan, it does show some part similar except Khar n Dushan. here they show that they were Ravan's Cousin but in real life they were step brothers.

Popular belief = what is written in scriptures................These scriptures were written by gods........or rishis.........that were children of gods........Most of these ppl could see past, present, and future........

For example, Valmiki wrote Ramayan........and he could see everything.....also.......he could travel anywhere solely by using his mind.......

I would think that a story written by such a person is very accurate.........

Whereas other writers who wrote the stories in diff languages were normal ppl.......

Those who wrote other versions of Ramayan.........and such stories.......we have no way of knowing that they are true.............They seem to have interpretations derived from nowhere..........

There is no proof that these other versions are actually true.................However, there IS proof that the popular versions are.......

But Islandboy,
1. How are we so sure that Valmiki, Ved vyas really were trikaldarshi?

2. How are we so sure that popular versions have not been modified over the years? Take example of Padm Puran. At present, there are many versions of Padm Puran with contradictory stories. Which one to trust?

yea..........that's true too................

We don't know whether valmiki or ved vyas was trikaldakshi..............

He could've just been making things up.......I could write a book right now saying I'm trikaldarshi...and put it out on the market.......and a couple of years later, ppl will start believing it.........lol........ as weird as it sounds........all the evidence we have of them being trikaldarhshi is a book......but........a book........it contains text written by a person..........and a person can write basically whatever he wants..........

But then that puts everything in question...........all the stories we currently believe in.....all the scriptures......and basically everything about the hindu religion.......

If valmiki really wasn't trikaldarshi........then ramayan could be fabricated.........and if ved vyas wasn't....then mahabharat could be........

u can also say:

How are the scriptures real?? They could be a group of ppl in the early times making up stories........and passing these books down...........cuz some scriptures are contradictory too........

Shiv puran says everything came from shiv........while others say it came from vishnu........

How can there be multiple versions of the same truth???

Oh.......FYI.........I believe that they are all real.......I'm just stating the thoughts that may come to someone's mind when they get the idea that valmiki probably wasn't trikaldarshi...
