"Two weeks...!! I have got some answers...in two weeks...or you can say I accepted those answers which I was trying to ignore from the beginning... But then these answers have come with some new questions too..."
He was lost in his thoughts recalling the time when he was away from her...
"All I have realized in two weeks away from her is that, she has managed to make her place in my life...and without her it feels all boring...I have missed her presence...her talk...her arguments...how she come up with different theories all the time...how she enjoyed little things...that look and that content smile of her when she enjoyed her ice-cream...it was like every Saturday she gave me the new reason, new view and new flavor of her ice-cream too...and now I can't imagine my life without our routine..."
"I have realized where my feelings are heading...these pure emotions I have for her, I have never felt before for anyone...and now I don't want to ignore it..." "I have seen those different emotions in her eyes too...many times..." "But can I believe it...? Am I right...? Looks deceive... isn't it?" "What if my instincts proved wrong...?" "It's not like I don't trust her...I do...but one moment she seems all matured and other moment she was behaving so innocent...what I should believe?" "You are hell confusing Zoya..."
He sighed leaning back on the bench, crossing his arms... A smile lifted on his lips as he watched her playing with those children... You are such a child sometimes...an innocent child who knows how to enjoy the little things...' They were at orphanage... He has to donate some things and she accompanied him saying he had to compensate for two Saturdays...
Ohh...Miss Farooqui you sounds like a businesswoman' He had said teasing her when she had came to meet him in office and asked for the compensation...
she glared at him as she said, No...I am not...but I have to remember that I am dealing with the businessman, right Mr. AAK?' He chuckled remembering her look... and he realized how much he like that demanding look of her...
"But why I have to compensate...you said you enjoyed your peaceful time with your ice-cream...isn't it?" He watched her as she stared at him for a moment before sitting on the chair in front...
"Okay...I know I said that" folding her both hands on the desk she huffed like a child, "But I missed you then..." She said simply...innocently...childishly...and he couldn't decipher the depth of her words...depth of her emotions... she didn't let him see behind her innocence...
He sighed as she cheered with kids...asking to pass her the ball... I have missed you too Zoya... I never knew, little change in my life would become a routine...and affect me that much that I can't imagine my life without it now...' But then what if I proved wrong...I don't want to disturb the stillness...' A ball hit on his leg breaking his thoughts... Getting up he threw the ball towards Zoya who caught it and threw it back to kids... He watched her as she walked towards him promising something to those children... There was something different in her smile...her smile was more radiant...and it pleased him...
"Now every Sunday I'll come here...I would like to teach them and also would like to learn..." She beamed and he smiled sensing her happiness, "You know we can learn so many things from children...that could give more clarity and joy into our life..." "I feel so happy Asad...thank you for bringing me here..."
"Hmm...I can see how kids get crazy after meeting other kids..." He said shoving his hands in his pant pocket, trying to suppress his laugh as her eyes widened...
"What do you mean...I am a kid...?" She asked perching her hands on her hips
"Yes..." He paused and she glared at him, "Not just crazy kid...but the courageous...confident and full of life...who does know how to enjoy the life..."
A dimple deepened on her cheek, "And don't you think you should give a treat to that kid for being courageous, confident and whatever you said..."
He shook his head, "See...you have always proved that I am not wrong..." He said and walked towards his car while she just shrugged her shoulders ignoring his comment and followed him, "So which flavor for today..." He asked opening the door for her...
"A blend of coffee and mint chocolate chip...let's try something different..." She said and he gave her a look that said isn't-it-some-weird-combination...
"You know kids are creative..." She smiled cutely noticing his disapproval and he shut the door mumbling under his breath... Seriously-you-are-crazy'
"Are you serious...isn't it seem a weird combination...?" He asked igniting the engine... She didn't reply for some time and confused he glanced towards her, "What? I know kids are stubborn too...they know how to make others agree for their weird demands" He added just to tease her more...
She looked towards him but gone was that juvenile look and her soft smile seemed more evocative... "You know sometimes it looks weird but that is just our imagination...you doesn't know how it would be in real...but if you really want to know then you have to take a chance...who knows it would turn out something different than your imagination..." She raised her brows... "Let it blend...two different flavors...may be it would form into entirely new flavor...something more delicious..."
"Hmm..." He stared at her for a moment, "I guess I was missing this...two weeks without any new theory..." He said and watched the confusion in her eyes... His brows rose questioningly asking her the reason but she just shook her head... He stopped the car in front of ice-cream shop...
"Let's try it..." She said opening the door of her side
"Hmm...I should trust my mentor...so let's see..." He teased following her
"You should..." She said before turning to order ice-cream
"But what if it turned out something horrible"
"So you have a doubt..." She asked forwarding him a cone of new blend...blend of their favorite flavors... "But sometimes it is okay to doubt I guess..." She said walking out of the shop with her cone... He followed her and watched her as she stood leaning to the car...looking at him she took a bite of her ice-cream... He looked at her confused thinking how it will taste and she smiled looking at his expressions... "Now about your doubt...see..." She said as he stood beside her, he was going to take a bite of his ice-cream when she stopped him, "Don't...first listen and then decide if you want to try...because I want you to try something new with clear mind...without any doubt..."
His eyes narrowed, "But I trust my mentor despite the doubt..." He stated just simply...
She blinked her eyes and her gaze stilled on him for a moment before a soft smile graced her lips, "Still I want to make it clear..." She said and he sighed, ready for her explanation, "I have tasted these flavors before... I have known how it tastes...I was aware about their constituents...and that is the reason I thought about the possibility of this blend can be prove as a scoop of new delight..." She paused and took another bite... "And then the only thing needed was to take a chance...and see I take it...its delicious..." She said enjoying the new taste...
"Hmm..." He gave her a look of approval and she asked him to try... "You only can come with this type of logic..." He shook his head before taking a frosty bite and gave her a thumps up sign as he enjoyed the new taste...

As they drove back after finishing their ice-cream he sensed she was silent...lost in her world... He found it strange but then looking at her he didn't like the idea of disturbing her... Two weeks she wasn't around...and he felt like he wasn't able to enjoy a moment without her... Her ice-cream wasn't even able to give him that calmness he was feeling when she was around... And it was another fact, ice-cream he can enjoy with her only... It wasn't just the effect of ice-cream...it was the blend of her and her ice-cream... He was aware that she had that power but he realized the intensity of that power only in those two weeks away from her...
He smiled glancing at her... she was looking out of the window...her soft traces playing on her face but she was least bothered... And now his heart just wished to cherish her presence...

"But I trust my mentor despite the doubt..." He had said it just simply...not aware of the effect of those words... But for her...the impact was immense...
Earlier looking at him she couldn't decipher if he had missed her in two weeks... He must have she had known deep in her heart but then why he hadn't just said it...? He was seriously testing her patience... It was taking hard for her to not confront him... Fine I am also not going to show how much I have missed him' She had decided but then she couldn't help...hiding her feelings that she was doing from a long time and she couldn't do it anymore... the urge to tell him she couldn't resist and she did it... She had said finally that she had missed him but she didn't let him see behind that mask of innocence... He didn't say a word in return... Did he just ignore her?' She was hurt actually but then she let it go as she was wishing some time with him after whole two weeks... She was needed it badly and so she decided to go with him to the orphanage... She was so much relaxed and happy after spending some time with those kids...it was like she was breathing in the fresh air after a long time...and she wanted to hug him right then when she thanked him... But she didn't... Let's see how much more time you need...I am ready to wait till you realize on your own...' She didn't know from where she got that new strength but she was feeling light for sure...
He had said that he missed her theories and she tried to search more...she wished more...and he didn't understand... But it was shocking for her then as he said those words and that too with such ease... that gave her the hope... Hope for the possibility...may be all she need is to take a chance...'Allah Miya!!! He is so much confusing...!!!' And she knew she had to make things clear...she had to clear his doubt before let him tastes the all new flavor...!!!

"So...why you have gone into silent mode suddenly?" He asked stopping the car in front of her house
She shrugged her shoulders looking at him, "Umm...aise hi..." He gave her a scrutinizing look that said he was not at all convinced... "Silence is good sometimes..." She said and he hummed still waiting for more explanation from her, "What? Isn't it true...you know it better as you are so fond of stillness..." she raised her brows
"Hmm...but you are not?"
"So what?" "You should experience new things...right?" His eyes narrowed and she giggled, "I am a kid remember? Always excited to explore new things"
He shook his head at her comment, "So what did you discover...in silence..."
"You know..." She took a deep breath before looking in his eyes... "Too much of anything is bad and that's go for silence too...so when it prolongs there need a tinkle...a soft, soothing tinkle..." She smiled as he stared at her, "And I guess it's too much theory for a day...and that's not good for followers..." She said opening the door of her side...
"Is it...?" He asked and turning she looked at him confused... He smiled and his eyes glistened with mischief... "Too much of anything is bad...is it?"
"Hmm..." She pressed her lips knowing well what he means... "Mr. Follower...trying to trap your mentor, are you?" She asked and he laughed...
"Hehhh...and I guess I have succeeded finally..." He asked but she was lost...that sight of his carefree laugh and she felt transfixed... Her insides fluttered as the thought of kissing his dimple rose... He clicked his finger and she moved back startled... Shaking her head at his questioning gaze she hopped out and closed the door...
Taking a deep breath she turned and smiled noticing that he was still waiting for her reply..."You should remember, every theory has an exception" Leaning on the window she said, "So yes...too much of anything is bad but too much Ice-Cream is just right..." She smiled wide and he shook his head...
"And again...no one can win from Zoya Farooqui..."
"Good..." She paused for a moment and he narrowed his eyes, "But then maybe there would be an exception too..." She said before walking towards the gate and he stared at her trying to decipher the meaning of her words...
She smiled waving at him and he nodded smiling back... "What exception..." He thought igniting the engine and drove off... "She herself is an exception...The more you know her, the more you feel curious..." Smile lifted on his face as he kept thinking about her while driving... "Too much of You with your ice-cream logic...are barely enough...!!!"
