Asad reached at the party on time, it was a party thrown by his Business Partner Fahad Iqbal in the success of there current deal ... he was a 30 years old Business Man, actually a successful Business Man...He is successful and is recognised as one the famous name of India...
He met Fahad and then the rest of the guest , at last he excused himself and ordering a soft drink for himself took a seat at one of the table enjoying his drink ... He was like this only, he never liked mingling too much but he knew in business world he had to keep aside his own issues and be professional thus that is why he was here today
Fahad's father came and he met him, talking to him a little he was going back to where he was sitting when his eyes caught hold of someone, someone he couldn't believe he will meet ever again his heart skipped a beat on finding her in front of him after so long...his eyes widened to see the person she was with...Ayaan Khan, someone he met a week ago at Fahad's office and they were quitr interested in working together, they had just entered in the party
He eyed her from head to toe, she was changed, she was totally changed ... a past memory flashed in front of his eyes as he blinked trying to assure himself that he must be hallucinating...she wasn't in Delhi, she left long ago, she left...and he couldn't think further...reliving everything was as painful as stabbing himself straight at heart
Ayaan, took her to fahad and they exchanged greetings, she then tiredly excused herself and went to sit on one of the couch... he gulped the entire drink in one go and made his way towards her
She wasn't interested in coming here at first place, she wasn't even interested in coming back, she was living her life in New York and although it wasn't what she dreamed years ago still she was ohkay with it...after all you never get everything you dream for
She sighed, and stood up to look around for ayaan, she isn't in mode to stay here anymore, her reason for coming Delhi was very important , she did not come to roam around the city and party...she have to finish her work here and go back as soon as possible..
She took one step ahead but was pulled back forcefully by someone and before she could react she was dragged by that same person in one corner, she opened to retort but words got stuck in her throat as soon as she came across those anger filled orbs, she can never forget his eyes, his eyes like always were really expressive ..but still she could never underst his emotion and what he wanted...not before, now now, she gulped down her saliva 'what do you want?' She asked in a whispere but he didn't answer neither stopped starring at her, this angered her and she pushed him
'What the hell is your problem...why did you drag me here and if you have nothing to say then let me go' she said and was surprised at how confidently she did it...he took in deep breath 'what are you doing with ayaan zoya?' He asked and she looked away, she never knew she will come across him like this after so many years, she was here in Delhi for a very important work otherwise she never wished to cross path with him...but today when coincidently they are in front of each other, how badly she wished that he would have asked her that why she left? How could she leave him? Try to justify what happened years ago...try to tell him that what she saw years ago was a big lie..he didn't justify his actions years ago and he isn't doing it now...why whatever they had in between them was a lie?...why there was no trust?
'He is my fiance ' she blurted out with hurt and his eyes widened with rage 'how dare you zoya...you can't just get engage to him' he said through gritted teeths but she tried her best to remain calm 'and why that so asad?...I can do whatever I want' she said and he lost his control, his hold tightened around the glass he was still holding as he held her arm harshly with his other hand 'no you can't, you can't damn it, you are my wife...' he said in a dangerous tune making her shiver, tears formed in the back of her eye but she didn't let them fall, she isn't weak
She hissed as his hold tightened 'our marriage is null and void asad...six years are a long time and I am allowed to move on...' she knew what she was saying was a big lie, she never tried freeing herself from this relation because It meant one more encounter with him which she least wanted...but today when the time has come then she shouldn't back out 'no you aren't allowed to move on zoya, not without me, you are still my wife...ab bhe biwi ho tum meri...shohar hun mai tumhara samjhi tum...' he said and she just let out a painful laugh 'mujhe nahe pata tha ke tumhe ab bhe yad hai ke biwi the mai Tumhari...but that's alright, biwi hun par yeh Zarori nahe ke sari zindagi Tumhari biwi ban kr rahun..ye Rishta pehle hi khatam ho chuka tha asad...ab is ki bunyad bhe khatam kr dete hain' ( I didn't know that you still remember that I was your wife...but that's alright, I am your wife but this isn't necessary that I live my entire life as your wife...this relation ended long ago asad now let's just break it from it's roots too) she said and he starred at her in disbelieve
He step backed 'what are you trying to say zoya?' He asked, not really believing her words earlier, she ignored the shiver that ran down her spine when she prepared herself to utter that word which she ignored always 'divorce' and that was it... he stumbled back, broken, even though they have been living apart since past many years but he never thought about divorce and here how easy it was for her to say It...to demand for it
She could see how his stiff posture turned into a weak and broken one...how he stumbled back and how his eyes like always spoke volume as if asking her to say that whatever she just said was a lie, but will it change anything? Will it change the past? Will it change from whatever she went through without him, for him but he never cared and today she wanted to tell him through her actions, that now she too don't care...she sighed as all her energy drained and to save herself from a break down in front of him she started walking towards the door, to leave from there, away from him 'phir se bhag rahe ho zoya, jaisa saalon pehle bhagi the...' he said in a whispere but enough for her to hear... she turned
He couldn't take it anymore, the pain, the hurt , and the anger, all were at it's peak as the glass in his hand broke...all the glass pieces scattered around, he could see a layer of shock and care passing through her eyes but it disappeared, blood started oozing out from his wound but it didn't hurt him, what hurt him was when she once again turned and left from there leaving him to stare at her retreating back with a sad smile
