Hmmm... Weirdly, I dont think she over acts though I find it part of her charecterization but that's just me.
Mahira is supposed to be charecterized in such a way that brings out her innocence and her "weird" expressions as you call it is supposed to be bring out the fact that she has that childlike innocence in her... Cos when you actually see her doing such expressions, you tend to want to sympathise or hug or even comfort her. So to me, I dont find her expressions to be an over act but rather trying to bring out a particular expression that captures a particular attention of the audiences. And as someone said, I find Mahira so endearing... Her expressions are really beautiful to watch. Something she's never done with the rest of her charecters! :)
