The boys had booked next to the girls so they were sharing two rooms between them. The first thing that Akash and Suhana did was jump into their own private swimming pool that was attached to their side of the hotel. Ria and Surbhi decided to go for a walk on the beach whilst Asad and Zack just wanted to get over the last six hours of being stuck in a plane.

Surbhi, Suhana and Ria got ready for their evening meal, which they were going to have in the hotel's restaurant. Surbhi wore a floral knee length summer dress with a long white beaded necklace, as she walked towards their table Asad felt a wave of cold air wash over him, he was taken aback by her simple beauty, she was stunning.

'You might catch a fly' Zack said making Asad look at him 'what?' 'Dude close your mouth' Asad cleared his throat 'you are becoming extremely annoying' 'and you my friend are becoming increasing infatuated' 'in...infatuated...' 'Yes...you like her...admit it' 'Zack, everyone likes her...a million people spread out on every continent like her' 'smart ass you know what I mean' 'Zack cut it out man'. He quickly said as the girls approached them.

As Ria sat down next to Zack she kissed him on the cheek 'you get anything out of him?' she asked in a low whisper 'nothing'. Asad seemed to have gone quiet as the rest of them engaged in chit chat and laughter, his eyes found themselves constantly travelling to Surbhi, what Zack had said to him had started to bother him. 'Asad, you ok?' Surbhi asked 'Yes...just a little tired...actually I think I might give desert a miss...you guys carry on I will see you later' without giving any of them a chance to respond Asad stood up and walked off 'Zack...what is up with him?' Zack knew that what he had said had given Asad food for thought 'he will be ok by the morning...let him be' he said trying to dismiss any further conversation.

After dinner the five of them went out to the open bar, where there was live music and dancing 'how about a few cocktails?' Akash suggested 'great...although you might want to make Suri's a non-alcoholic one' Suhana said 'guys, you order, I will be back in a minute'.

Surbhi left them to order the drinks and enjoy the open sea breeze, since Asad had left she couldn't help the dullness she felt within her, him not being a part of them bothered her.

Surbhi looked in his room to find it empty, she walked around to go out on to the balcony when she caught sight of him, he was sitting on the pools edge with his feet playing in the water.

'You mind if I join you?' Asad turned around to see her standing directly behind him 'sure'. Surbhi took of her heels and sat next to him dipping her feet into the water too.

'You want to tell me the real reason you left?' Asad opened his mouth to give her the same line he had in the restaurant 'the truth Asad...I would like to think we are friends, good friends...please tell me' Asad tightened his hold onto the edge of the pool, what was he supposed to say to her, he couldn't tell her what Zack had said nor what he was thinking.

After a moments of silence Surbhi let out a soft laugh 'either you don't trust me...or you don't think of me as your friend' 'it's neither Suri, I do trust you...and you have become a very good friend...it's just a little complicated' 'complicated...I admit I don't have much experience but when things are complicated it usually involves a girl...you like someone?'

Asad looked at her 'now either I am that transparent or you are a lot more clued on than you look' Surbhi gave him a heart-warming smile, pushing her hair back she put it to the side and faced him 'you are anything but transparent...I would like to take the credit and say I am clued on and highly intelligent but it's not that either...it is just guess work...I know I haven't known you for long...but in all the time I have known you I haven't seen you like this'.

Asad took in a deep breath 'Ok, here is the deal...yes there is someone, a girl that I think I like' Surbhi raised her eyebrow at him 'you think?' 'No...I do...or maybe it's just because...I really don't know' Surbhi couldn't stop herself from laughing at him 'am glad I amuse you' 'I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh...ok before we work out what you think, you feel or not feel...let me ask you about her...does she like you?' 'I have no idea' 'Asad...are you really that clueless..' 'well yes...I mean she talks to me...is nice, is a friend...I am sure she likes me as she wouldn't be sit...I mean she wouldn't be speaking...talking or hanging out with me, right?' 'But you don't know if she liked you more than a friend?' 'No' 'Simple solution Asad, walk up to her and ask her straight out' 'I can't do that...what if she says no, and then I end up losing her as my friend' 'I doubt that...she would be extremely stupid to lose someone like you as a friend and even more stupid not to like you in the way that you do' Asad looked at Surbhi, as his eyes met hers something stirred between them 'would you do that...I mean just walk up to a person and tell them that you like them'.

Surbhi hitched a breath, she had been sitting here smiling, laughing and talking to Asad about a girl that he liked and all the while her insides had been twisting painfully 'I am a little more filmy...' she said trying hard to break her gaze away from him 'filmy...so what filmy scene would you act out' 'something original, something that maybe no other girl would dare to do' 'lucky guy' 'who' 'the one that you walk up to'.

Surbhi lowered her head trying to smile. 'Girls like me don't have such luck Asad...I work in an industry that is loving and caring but ruthless at the same time...guys fall in love...and when they realise that they have to share their wife, their girl with the world...it's not so easy...long distance relationships don't work...and it's not fair, not on the person you are with nor on yourself' 'I can understand that...I think...but what if you find someone who accepts everything about you, around you...is able to share you with the world and still love you like crazy?' 'I think you need to give that guy my number...like right now' Asad started laughing and so did Surbhi.

'Asad, you once said to me that love and companionship were nit for you, you liked being single and free...if the tables have turned and if you really like her...then take the chance...tell her' 'ok...well then...if you ever find him go up to him and blow him away with your filmy andaz' 'ok...deal...lets shake on it' she said holding her hand out 'you go up to her and tell her and I will blow him away...now come on...my fruit cocktail is getting warm'

Re-joining the group Asad walked up to Zack 'sorry if I was out of line earlier' 'Asad please...since when have we ever let sorry be a word used between us...you ok?' 'Yes' 'so you going to tell me?' 'Tell you what' 'dude...you like her don't you?' 'if I say yes will that get you to shut up and leave me alone?' Zack hugged him 'nice one'.

Asad and Surbhi were the only two that woke up sober and without a heavy head. The other four were definitely hung over.
