'And the award for the best actress of 2014 goes to non-other than the queen of beauty Surbhi Saxena' the entire stadium erupted in loud cheers and screams as the nation's best loved actress Surbhi Saxena stood up to claim her third award for the evening. There was nothing this dazzling beauty could not do; at an age where people struggled to find their feet in life she had achieved success, fame and fortune like no other. Hugging her best friend Suhana and co-stars Surbhi walked towards the stage to claim her winning trophy.
Taking the mic she addressed the audience
'Wow...I really am lost for words, thank you all so much for this honour. I would like to thank my family, my friends, the beautiful people I work with who have all helped me and supported me...without you all this would not have been possible...thank you once again'
Surbhi blew a kiss to her audience who stood up in a standing ovation and the thousands of viewers at home.
Taking her seat she sat full of pride and joy, a girl who came to Mumbai with nothing but a dream was now the face of India and the international world. Full of confidence and determination there really was no one at this moment in time who could match her.
As the award ceremony came to an end Suhana stood up 'you ready for the after party?' 'You bet I am...lead the way' she said beaming her million dollar smile.
Surbhi who was known as Suri amongst her family and friend really did know how to let her hair down and party. It was past three in the morning ' Suri, we need to go...you have a shoot tomorrow you really want to rock up half asleep looking like queen of the zombies' Surbhi pocked her tongue out 'ok, ok let's go' saying bye to those around her she called for her driver who took both her and Suhana home.
Just about managing to make it to her room Surbhi threw her bag and slumped herself over king sized bed falling asleep instantly.
The rays of the rising sun flickered through her blinds playing hide and seek 'noo...it can't be morning already' she moaned as she covered her face with the pillow 'morning...it's almost midday sleepy head get up, the producer has called three times already' Surbhi jumped up 'shit...we are late' 'correction girlfriend, you are late...now get a move on, the driver is ready downstairs'
Showering at the speed of light Surbhi quickly got changed and ran downstairs 'morning Ria, morning Mum...see you guys later...,byeee' she shouted out as she ran past them without a second look. Payal Saxena, Surbhi's adoptive mother and her younger sister Ria looked at each other 'something's will never change, I wish that girl would slow down' Payal said shaking her head.
Payal and Ria adopted Surbhi after she lost her parents at a very young age. Ria and Surbhi were poles apart, the total opposite of each other but the bond and closeness they shared was second to none. Ria loved her sister as much as she loved her, Surbhi could live without anything but not her sister, she would compromise on anything in life but not when it came to her sisters happiness, she was her pillar of support, her life line.
On route to the studio Surbhi called Ria 'I did it again...sorry' she said 'you know that tone isn't going to work with me madam...so keep, you acting where it counts' Surbhi started laughing 'ok fine...I love you' 'I know you do...now go and do whatever it is you are late for, I will see you tonight'. Surbhi put her phone away smiling to herself.
Like many people that belonged to the world of fame Surbhi had a number of personalities. For her loved ones she was the kindest most loveable girl you could ever know, to the people she worked with she was professional, hardworking and a perfectionist. And to the outside world that she didn't see eye to eye with she was arrogant, rude and an obnoxious girl who had more money than sense.
'Finally, her majesty makes her presence' 'zip it Akash' Surbhi said looking at him with narrowed eyes. Akash was Suhana's boyfriend and Surbhi's PR manager; as much as she loved him she didn't have much patience for his untimely sarcasm and humour that only he found funny.
Running towards the makeup room Surbhi got ready for her shot. Coming out on set she took her position opposite her co-star Aditya Shah, another big name in the industry. The scene required the character Surbhi was playing to show her emotional, most vulnerable side as she pleaded with her on screen love not to leave her. One of the best things about Surbhi's acting abilities was how quickly she was able to bring out and portray the emotions her director required. There was no doubt that she was beautiful but the beauty that the screen captured was exemplary, it was multiplied by a thousand.
After working through her scenes and dress changes non-stop for over four hours Surbhi was more than exhausted. The director had asked the whole unit to gather around for a briefing, he told them that for the next portion of the script they had to shoot on an outdoor location 'we will be travelling to Delhi for a three day schedule, we leave the day after tomorrow, I want everyone to be here ready to go at 7...ok people that's a wrap, see you tomorrow morning'
