A Sanam-centric episode. Quite well done.
You'll start off feeling

then you'll feel

then at the end you'll feel..

Poor Sanam...
She's having a tough time in her head right now.
Muslims have a special prayer , called the Istikhara prayer, done in earnest intention and honesty in times of confusion and need of guidance, gives one a conviction and courage to make a choice.
But here it is depicted that her dua after the Qur'an kani, Sanam is shown in her mind, who her true companion is. She reaches out for Shaad (even in her subconscious, that's disturbing) but it is Aahil that turns to her.
Most people take this as a sign. But not our Sanam. She fights it. Sanam has always had a strong mind, determined. But here its failing her. Because of a lie.
She rejects the idea. Stubbornly, she moves to take a shell-shocked Shaad's hand. <That was the time to set the truth straight, Shaad. Couldn't you see how she was suffering in her mind??>
Aahil is also silent, walks away.
Later, she has a dream. She sees Shaad walking up to her, smiling, sexy, sits next to her... and softly asks, Do you love me?
She can't answer. She swallows and blinks. It just won't come out.
Then suddenly Aahil is there also. On her other side, sexily leaning on his pillow, smiling an intimate smile, Do you love me?
<I felt a little horror for her right then. Poor thing is suffering in her head. She couldn't remember anything, convinced herself in Pakistan to love her husband, Shaad. Now she is confronted by vague returning memories of another man. And its torturing her !! That situation was awful, both men lying in bed with her , asking her that question.
She truly doesn't know. All she knows is, she is not sure of anything.
This really pissed me off. Why are these men torturing her like this? Holding the truth back from her, when she is so conflicted like this?! Both men claim to love her deeply, but both cannot see the strife in her mind. Shame. >
She leaves everything in Allah's hands. Whatever happens, I leave it in your hands. You know what's best for me...
Then at the mehndi ceremony, the artist writes Aahil's name. Not because she had dejavu, but because she was trying to call Aahil , to stick a hot poker right through his heart.
"I request you to please get Shaad ready for our wedding..."
<So tortured, yet she has time to stab Aahil right through the heart... This reminded me of Aahil and Nida's mehndi ceremony. Sanam got Aahil's bride's menhdi on her hand entirely by accident, when it fell off the upstairs landing. Now she gets Aahil's name on her palm entirely accidental.>
She is horrified. She tries scrubbing his name off, but it is stuck.
Another sign for Sanam. She falls down and cries helplessly, bemoaning her Fate. The more I strengthen myself against all this, the weaker I am. Why does Aahil feel like my own? Then Shaad? He's my husband!! I am remarrying him?! Why does this feel wrong !!"
<I shed a tear for poor Sanam. The Sanam, daughter of Asad and Zoya, sister of Seher and Haya, proud and independent granddaughter of Dilshaad. The one who has had the most to suffer since falling in love. Now she feels her true love Aahil, and i suspect is partially in love (by conviction) with Shaad.
How will she survive this??
I feel like giving Sanam a big hug and a shoulder, and shoo-ing these terrible boys away from her.>
