Chapter 9

After they reached home, Asad saw how sad Zoya looked. He wanted to stay with her, comfort her. But, he had a meeting to attend. "Ammi, mujhe office jaana padega. Aap Zoya ka khayal rakiye," Asad said, looking at his wife who was walking into their room. "Tum fikar mat karo Asad, main dekh longi," Dilshad consoled her son. "Main chalta hoon Ammi," Asad said and left for work. Zoya wanted to be alone. She thought about everything that had happened in her life from the past couple months. "Yeh zindagi bhi na, ajeeb hai. Maine puri life New York mein beeta di, khabhi India aayi bhi nahi. Aur aayi bhi toh sirf padne kehliye. Aur Allah miyan, aapne meri life ka plan hi badal diya. Phele toh Ammi koh cancer...meri Ammi hi kyun? Pheli hi aapne mere paas se bahut kuch liya hai toh aabh kyun? Kya meri khushi se aap koh problem hai?" Zoya wondered sitting near the window and looking up at the blue sky. "Aur phir mujhe ek aise rishte mein baandiya, joh mujhe aaj bhi samaj nahi aata. Nikkah meri zindagi ka sabh se important rishta hai aur woh main Mr. Khan jaise insaan keh saath khabhi nahi soocha tha. Nikkhe mein jab Qubool hai bola, I meant it with all my heart. Aabh mujhe bas yeh dua karni hai keh mujhe takat dijiye keh main yeh rishta pure dil se nibha sako. I want to try my best keh main meri shaadi nibha sako. I want to try to be a good wife, a good daughter to Ammi, and a support to my parents. Mujhe himmat dijiye Allah miyan, please," she prayed. She pleaded for courage that needs now, and will in the future. Zoya composed herself and went outside to find her husband. He wasn't there. "Ammi, Asad kaha hai?" Zoya asked walking into the kitchen. "Woh office gaya hai beta," Dilshad replied. Zoya sulked. How could he go to work when she has been so upset? "Yeh Mr. Khan bhi na, ek number keh Akdu hai," Zoya thought to herself. Dilshad chuckled to herself seeing Zoya's face. "Woh nahi jaana chatha tha lekin meeting important thi," she informed Zoya. "Aap toh aise hi bol rahi hai Ammi," Zoya said sadly. "Aisa kuch nahi Zoya. Asad shayad kuch bole na, par uski aankhe bahut kuch bolti hai. Usse tumari fikar hai," Dilshad said. Zoya felt her heart skip a beat, he cared for her? Really? She thought. "Aap theek keha rahi hai Khala, Jammy toh hai hi aise, sabh ki fikar karte hai," Tanveer said, joining them. "Sabh mein aur Zoya mein farak hai," Dilshad stated. "Aap kehliye hai Khala, main toh Asad keh baare mein bol rahi thi," Tanveer replied. "Kya matlab hai tumara Tanveer?" Zoya questioned. "Nahi...kuch nahi, main toh bas aisi hi bol rahi hoon," Tanveer said. Zoya just looked at Tanveer trying to understand what she meant. What did this girl want? Why did she always try to demean her? Pushing her thoughts aside, Zoya excused herself from there.

As the day passed, Zoya tried to divert her mind by doing random things around the room. She arranged his clothes then hers. She fixed the items on the dresser but redid it again. Zoya has never cleaned so much, in her life. Dilshad on the other hand was worried about Zoya. It wasn't like her to be confined in the four walls of the room. That afternoon, Najma called Dilshad, "Ammi...Zoya kaha hai? Uska phone nahi lagraha hai?" she questioned. "Pareshaan hai bichari, shayad uska phone silent par hoga," Dilshad replied. "Kyun? Kya bhaijaan ne phir se usse ladayi ki hai?" Najma asked worried. "Nahi Najma, Aisa kuch nahi hai. Zeenat ki tabeyat phir se karaab hogayi hai, she had to go back for chemo sessions," Dilshad explained. "What? Poor Zoya, she is probably freaking out," Najma stated. "Main sooch rahi thi keh uss kehliye kuch karo, bas issi keh baare mein sooch rahi thi," Dilshad told her daughter. Najma thought for a few minutes, "Ammi, kyun na aap Zoya kehliye kuch laaye. I mean pizza, ya pastries, she likes that," she said. "Yeh idea accha hai, main uss kehliye kuch laati hoon," Dilshad said. "I wish I was there for her," Najma desired. "Najma, hum yaha hai beta, tum fikar mat karo. Tum aur Imran apna holiday enjoy karna ok?" Dilshad consoled. "Jee Ammi," Najma agreed. "Apna khayal rakna, aur kal Zoya se baat karlena. I am sure she will be better by then," Dilshad suggested. Najma accepted her idea and they ended the conversation.

It was late evening when Zoya woke up from sleep. "Allah miyan, what is wrong with me? Main soh kaise gayi," she said to herself, sitting on the bed. She was trying to divert her mind by reading a magazine when she had drifted into slumber. Zoya freshened up and walked out of the room. She looked for Dilshad in the living room, the kitchen, and even her bedroom, but couldn't find her. "Ammi...Ammi," Zoya called out walking down the stairs. "Chila kyun rahi ho Zoya? Khala yaha nahi hai," Tanveer stated annoyed. "Tanveer...tum kaha thi. Main tab se kissi koh doond rahi ho. Ammi kaha hai?" Zoya questioned. "Paata nahi. Kahi bahar gayi hai. But I am sure tumare liye hi kuch karne gayi hongi. After all, aabh khala koh tumare alava kuch dikhta thodi hai," Tanveer muttered to herself. "What? I didn't hear you Tanveer," Zoya said, unsure if she had heard Tanveer properly. "Please Zoya, mere paas tumare sawal keh jawaab dehne se bahut zyada behtar kaam hai," Tanveer told her. "Tum itni rude kyun horahi ho? Main toh bas yeh jaana chathi thi keh Ammi kaha hai," Zoya said upset. "Whatever," Tanveer huffed. As she started to walk away, "Tumari problem kya hai Tanveer? Tum mujhse hamesha itni rude kyun hoti ho?" Zoya wondered. "Kya bakwaas karahi ho tum?" Tanveer replied. "Main bakwaas nahi karahi hoon, tum hamesha mujhe Mr. Khan keh nazro mein girane ki kosish karti ho. Aur phir tumne unse jhoot bhi bola keh maine tumse kaha keh main unse darti hoon," Zoya accused. "Tum yeh kya bol rahi ho? Are you crazy? Paata nahi kaise kaise stupid baatein karahi ho," Tanveer said, trying to avoid the topic. She has already heard enough with Asad catching her with her lies. Now, she couldn't let Zoya do the same. "Main jhoot nahi bol rahi ho, tumari wajase hi Asad kal mujhpar gussa huwe the," Zoya said. "Dusro par ungli hotane se accha hai keh tum apne girebaan mein dekho Zoya. Asad shayad tum par issliye chilata hai kyun ki woh tume pasand nahi karta. Mujhe blame karne ki zaroorat nahi hai," Tanveer yelled. Zoya was shocked. How dare she? Who gave her the right? "You know Tanveer, accha yehi hoga keh tum apne hadh mein raho. Mere aur mere shohar keh beech mein kya hai ya nahi yeh humari problem hai. Tum Asad ki dost ho and uski waja se tum yaha reha rahi ho. But I am warning you, just stay away!" Zoya warned angrily and left from there. Tanveer fumed but then laughed to herself. "Zoya...tumna bahut bhuli ho? Tume kya lagtha hai keh tum bologi aur main chali jaungi?" she thought. "Main yaha se tab tak nahi jaungi jab tak Asad mera nahi hojata. Bachpan se main iss ghar ki bahu banne ki sapne dekhti aayi ho aur tumne mujhse woh jaaga leyli. Yeh haq sirf mera tha, mera hai, aur rahega," Tanveer silently challenged Zoya.

Zoya was really angry with Tanveer. She couldn't believe that Tanveer would say something like to her. How can she? What Asad and her share in this relationship was personal? It was theirs to decide then why was she interfering? Tanveer's words of Asad disliking her pierce through her heart. Kya Asad mujhe pasand nahi karte issliye har ek cheez kehliye mujhe darth the hai, she considered. Lekin woh kosish toh karahe haina Zoya, he is trying to make this relationship work, her brain retorted. Just then, she heard Dilshad calling for her. "Aayi Ammi," Zoya replied. She composed herself and went out to see Dilshad in the living room. Seeing Zoya, Dilshad walked up to her. "Aabh kaisi ho tum?" Dilshad asked caressing her cheek. "Main theek hoon Ammi...aap kaha chalegi thi. Mujhe paata nahi kaise neend lag gayi," Zoya said. "Woh mujhe kuch kaam tha. Tum sohrahi thi toh soocha keh woh khatam karlo," Dilshad told her. Zoya just nodded listening to her mother in law. "Accha...meri help karogi dinner banana mein?" Dilshad questioned. "Ha Ammi...zaroor. Chaliye," Zoya said with a smile. Time passed and Dilshad was glad that Zoya was engrossed in work. She was talking and smiling like usual.

On the other hand, Asad was returning from work. His thoughts invaded by his wife. Asad didn't expect the meeting to run as long as it had. He wished that he could have at least called up and checked on her. However, he was so busy he forgot. He was stopped at a red light when his eyes fell on something. A smile crept up on his face remembering a past memory.

One fine morning, Zoya had accompanied Najma to her college. There she saw some guys misbehaving with Najma's friends. Zoya being Zoya started arguing with them and telling them it was wrong. The guys started to argue with Zoya and she ended up slapping one of them. The men had created a huge mess and police was called to the college. Asad too had been phoned by the principal as Najma was involved. Asad had gotten to college and immediately blamed Zoya for the incident. "Mr. Khan...maine kuch nahi kiya. Infact, they were teasing us," Zoya tried to explain. "Aap unne ignore bhi karsakthi thi Ms. Farooqui," He told her. "Par kyun? I did what they deserved. They need to learn to expect women," she explained. "Aapko joh karna hai woh aap apne New York mein kijiye. Yaha gundo keh moo lagne se kuch nahi hota. Aapko thoda sa bhi ehsaas hai keh aapne shayad Najma kehliye kitni baadi problem khadi kardi hai," Asad yelled. "Problem Najma koh nahi, unn ladko koh hona chahiye, galti unki hai," Zoya said. Asad was furious! Didn't this girl understand that the world didn't run according to her ways? There were good and bad people everywhere, and nowadays more bad than good. He had to protect his sister and mother. Before he could say anything more, Najma came from inside the principal's office and informed Asad that the principal wanted to see him. "Kya hua?" Najma asked Zoya seeing Asad walk inside the room leaving the two girls in the hallway. "As usual, tumare bhaijaan koh lagtha hai keh meri galti hai," Zoya said sadly. "Aapko unse ladayi nahi karni chahiye tha Zoya," Najma said unsure. "Oh please Tamatar, aabh tum bhi shuru mat hojana. I am sure keh tumare bhaijaan wapaas aakar mujhe aur thoda lecture dehne wale hai," Zoya told her. Najma though was scared. She was afraid that her brother was going to be angry...no scratch that. She knew for sure that her brother will be mad. What was she going to do? Najma thought worried. Asad had walked into the principal's office to apologize on Zoya's behalf but he was surprised when the principal praised what Zoya had done. "Really Mr. Khan, himmat chahiye hoti hai akele unn sabh gundo ka saamna karna. I have to say I am proud of that girl. Najma said she is a guest at your house?" Mr. Singh, the principal, probed. "Jee hai. I hope Najma koh iss wajase kohi problem nahi hogi," Asad said concerned. "Not at all Mr. Khan. I am glad keh Najma uss ladki se uske saath reha rahi hai, I am sure she can learn from that girl. In fact, I would like to talk to her," Mr. Singh said. Asad couldn't believe it! One more fan in Ms. Farooqui's list...this is just great. As Asad was lost in his thoughts, the principal had his assistant call for Zoya. Seconds later, the door knocked and Zoya walked into the room. She tried to read Asad but that was impossible. Zoya then faced Mr. Singh, "aapne bhulaya sir?" she wondered. "Oh...the great Ms. Farooqui, it is nice to meet you," Mr. Singh said. Zoya just smiled, "It is nice to meet you too sir," she said. "I just wanted to thank you Zoya. Mujhe nahi paata tha keh college mein yeh sabh hota hai. Today, because of you, many girls have come forward and complained, I will make sure that those guys are punished," Mr. Singh explained. Zoya beamed as she looked at Asad. He just frowned and that made her only smile harder. "Thank you sir, mujhe yeh jaan kar bahut khushi huwi hai," Zoya told him. As they were walking out of the room, "Dekha Mr. Khan...I told you I wasn't wrong," she boasted. Asad didn't reply. He just kept walking forward. "How rude...ek sorry bhi nahi bol sakthe. Akdu Jahapanah!" she muttered to herself as she followed him.

As they were returning home, Asad was in the driver's seat with Zoya next to him in the front and Najma in the back. "You know Najma...sorry bol na bahut asaan hai," Zoya said. "What?" Najma said confused. "I mean...woh ladke joh kuch bhi bole jarahe the, they could have apologized and I could have easily forgiven them," Zoya explained but her eyes were on Asad. He knew that she was taunting him but he continue to ignore her. "Zoya...unn logo ne itni baadi galti ki aur tum usse aise hi maaf kardogi?" Najma asked frustrated. "Unne nahi, lekin agar kohi choti si galti kare aur phir maafi maange toh shayad kardo. Actually you know what, sorry mein na bole that's fine. Let them buy me my favorite chocolate truffles and pink tulips and I can do anything for them," Zoya said dreamily. Najma just shook her head, "Zoya, aap na kuch bhi bolte hai," she chuckled. Zoya looked at him hopefully. For some reason, she wanted him to apologize. She wanted him to acknowledge that she wasn't wrong. But, all she got was silence. He didn't say anything! Zoya turned away and stared at the dark sky, missing his coffee brown orbs that wandered towards her.

Zoya and Dilshad were almost done cooking. "Zoya, aata goon diya beta?" Dilshad asked. "Almost hoga hai Ammi, aap jayiye, main kardeti hoon," Zoya said. Dilshad stirred the chicken on the stove and turned it off. "Theek hai! Mujhe ek phone karna hai, main aati hoon," Dilshad told her and left the kitchen. Zoya was finished with kneading but felt the dough needed a little bit water. She picked up the pitcher and was about to add water when her hand slipped. "No!" she yelled but it was too late. The flour had way too much water than she had planned to add. "Yeh maine kya kardiya?" Zoya said as she mixed the flour which was too liquidy. Zoya started to attempt to fix the dough that she has messed up. Lost in thoughts, she missed that someone was at the door, observing her. "Zoya...Zoya," Asad called again walking closer to her to get her attention. "Jee," Zoya said in her own daze. "Tum theek ho?" he asked concerned. She looked up and realized that it was Asad. "Oh...aap? Aap yaha kaise? I mean yeah I am fine. Maine aata karaab kardiya," Zoya pouted. Asad smiled at her, she looked so adorable, he thought. Wait...what? No he didn't say that, his mind retorted. What I am saying, seriously Zoya, she self-scolded silently. "Khana thodi dher mein ready hojayega...aap fresh hojayiye," she offered. "I will. Par, mere paas tumare liye kuch hai," he said. Zoya looked at him expectantly. Asad bought something from behind him. A gasp escaped Zoya's lips and then she grinned. "Tulips!" Zoya said excitedly. "Mere liye?" she asked, wanting to confirm. He nodded affirmatively. Zoya happily took the bouquet of tulips from him. "Thank you so much Asad," she said smilingly. "And this too," he said, pulling something from her pocket. Seeing chocolates, Zoya became extremely enthusiastic. She jumped forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Mr. Khan...you are the best, thank you," she told him. Asad was shocked at her sudden gesture. As the excitement died, Zoya realized what she was doing. She broke apart! She closed her eyes, her cheeks red with embarrassment. "Woh main...woh actually," she shuddered. Asad was surprised to see Zoya loss of words. This has to be the first time when he had seen her like this. Then, she noticed the flour on Asad's jacket. "Haye Allah miyan, what is wrong with me?" Zoya said, slapping her head. Asad looked down at his suit then looked up. The way her lips frowned and her forehead filled with fluid dough, how could he get angry at that sight? Zoya was amazed when her husband busted out laughing. He wasn't mad at her. He was chuckling at her, she thought surprised.

Dilshad returned after finishing her phone call to see her son and daughter in the kitchen. She didn't know what occurred but she saw her son laughing out loud. She didn't recall when she had seen him like this. Her eyes filled with tears but she quickly wiped them away. Walking up to them, "bahut masti horaha hai?" she teased. Asad stopped, and looked at his mother. "Nahi Ammi...aisa kuch nahi. Paata nahi Mr. Khan itna kyun hass rahe hai," Zoya said innocently. Dilshad giggled. "Tum jaakar apna chehra aaina mein dekho," she told Zoya. "Matlab?" Zoya said, still confused. Asad pulled her away from the counter and took a steel plate that was near the stove. "Yeh dekho," he said, putting the plate in front of her so she could see her reflection. "Ewww...yeh maine, issliye aap hass rahe the?" Zoya asked Asad. He nodded with a mischievous smile. "So mean Asad, aap mujhe bol nahi sakthe the," she complained with a pout. "Kyun bolo...tum aise bahut cute lagrahi ho," Asad retorted. Zoya felt her cheeks fill with color listening to his words. Dilshad was surprised but was happy for the couple. Asad realized what he had said. "Ms. Farooqui keh saath rehakar main bhi kuch bhi bolne laaga hoon," he thought. "Main...main yeh wash karke aati hoon," Zoya muttered and quickly left from the kitchen. Asad looked at his mother who was looking at him with a teasing smile. "Main bhi aata hoon," he said, trying to escape. "Cute lagne laagi hai mere bete koh kohi?" Dilshad joked. "Ammi...yaha Najma nahi hai. Aabh aap please shuru mat kijiye," he told her making Dilshad chucke. Asad left from there too. "Allah...yeh din khabhi aayega yeh maine soocha nahi tha. Allah mere baccho koh aise khush rakna," she prayed and started to get dinner ready.

Zoya ran into the bathroom and close the door. He called her cute, she thought shyly. Did he really mean it? She looked at herself in the mirror. She looked the same that she did every day. Didn't she? Zoya saw her cheeks turn red. "Why the heck am I blushing? He was just joking," she convinced herself. But, her heart didn't agree. She then realized that she still held the flowers and chocolates that he gifted. Her heart skipped a beat thinking that he had given those to her. He remembered her words, she thought. Zoya then washed her face and cleaned up. As she walked out, she saw him changed into a navy blue kurta pajama. Both didn't have any words to share. They just smiled at each other. Zoya walked to the side table and carefully placed the flowers in a vase after filling with water. She then turned to him, "thanks again Asad, they are beautiful!" Zoya told him. "I am glad to see you smiling," he replied. Zoya could feel her face starting to flush again. "Khana ready hogaya hoga...main Ammi ki help karti hoon. Aap aajayiye," she said and left. Asad stood there recalling their moment in the kitchen. He was surprised at how he had laughed. He had never done that. Nobody has made him laugh like that, ever. But she did! Running a hand through his hair, he followed his wife out.

When he reached the dining table, Asad saw Zoya arranging his plate, utensils, and glass just the way he liked. He just smiled and took a seat. Few minutes later, Dilshad and Zoya walked out of the kitchen with the dinner. "Zoya...stop eating the chocolates," Dilshad scolded. "They are delicious Ammi...meri thodi galti hai. Aap Mr. Khan koh boliye," Zoya said. "Maine kya kiya hai?" Asad asked, feeling trapped. "Jab se tumne isse chocolates diye hai, she has been sneaking one every time she walks into the kitchen," Dilshad said. "Zoya, dinner toh khalo," Asad stated. "Main dinner bhi khaongi but jab main chocolates dekhti hoon toh I can't resist," she said cheerfully. Asad and Dilshad smiled at her innocence. "Jammy ne aapko chocolates diye?" Tanveer, who was sitting confused at the table, spoke up. "Ha, aur woh bhi mere favorite chocolate truffles," Zoya replied, beaming at Asad. "How nice!" Tanveer said, faking a smile. Inside, she felt like someone was throwing hot ashes in her heart. Asad had bought her chocolates! He yells at her and tells her to stay from his life, and goes and gifts Zoya chocolates...Arghhh. Soon, Zoya served Asad and they all started eating. As dinner was coming to an end, Dilshad excused herself to the kitchen. Zoya was still eating when she saw Dilshad walking up to her with a box in her hand. She came up to Zoya and placed it on the table next to her. "Yeh main tumare liye laayi thi, but mujhe thodi paata tha keh kohi aur tume mujhse phele cheer up kardega," Dilshad teased. Asad knew that his mother was talking about him but he just kept eating, pretending he didn't hear her. "Yeh kya Ammi?" Zoya wondered. Dilshad opened the box and Zoya jumped in joy. "Pastries...," she said happily. Zoya stood up and engulfed Dilshad in a hug. "Thank you Ammi...you are the best," she said genuinely. Dilshad lovingly caressed Zoya's back. As they broke apart, "you know Ammi...mujhe aisa lagtha hai keh aaj mera birthday ya kuch hai. Phele Asad ne flowers aur chocolates diye, phir aap pastries, I am loving this," Zoya told her. Dilshad smiled, happy to see the chirpy Zoya back. "Aabh pastries khana bhi ya nahi?" Dilshad reminded. "Of course khana hai," Zoya said as she took a seat at the table again. She started to cherish the pastry. Asad finished his food and looked up, only to be mesmerized. He saw his wife digging into the pastry and moaning in pleasure. She looked like an adorable little kid as she licked the favorite food off her fingers. Dilshad was extremely happy to see her son admiring Zoya, she left from there leaving the couple alone.

Tanveer, on the other hand, was fuming. She couldn't believe all this was happening in front of her and she couldn't do anything. What does Asad see in this unruly, messy girl that he was drooling over her? What did she lack? She thought angrily. As she rushed to get up from the chair, she knocked the salt shaker on the table. Asad broke away from his trance and Zoya too stopped eating. "Are you ok Tanveer?" Zoya questioned worried. "Main theek hoon, bas I have to go," Tanveer replied. Zoya at looked at her Asad confusingly. He motioned her to finish dinner. After dinner, Asad had went to the study as he had some work to finish. Zoya told Dilshad to go and rest and that she will clean up the kitchen. As she placed was putting the dishes in the washer, cleaning the table up, and packing the leftovers, all she could think about was her husband. The way he had remembered her favorites, he had taken the effort to gift something to her, which meant a lot. After finishing her work, Zoya decided to check up on Asad to ask him if he wanted coffee or something. Asad was in the study working on a presentation that needed to be presented the next morning when someone knocked and walked in. "Tanveer...tum?" he said, surprised to see her. "Jammy...woh hum aapse maafi maange aaye the. I guess I just misunderstood Zoya and you, I am sorry," she apologized. "It's fine Tanveer, joh hua it's in the past," Asad said. "Woh bas mujhe aapki chinta hai Jammy. Mera matlab aap Zoya se shaadi nahi karna chathe the phir bhi aapko karni paadi. I just worry," Tanveer said concerned. Asad didn't like that Tanveer was bringing up this topic. He has started to accept the fact that Zoya and him were married now. "Tanveer, joh hoga hai usse hum badal nahi sakthe, and tum meri fikar mat karo, I am fine," he told her. "Main dekh rahi hoon Jammy, aap apni zimedaari bahut acche taare se nibha rahe hai," Tanveer said. "Zoya sirf ek zimedaari nahi hai, woh meri biwi hai but sabh se important woh meri dost hai. Toh main apni dosti nibha raha hoon," Asad replied with a smile. Tanveer fisted her hands around her anarkali. So, now they were friends? Really? She thought upset. Without letting that transcend on her face, "that is very nice," Tanveer stated. "Accha, main chalti hoon, good night," she said. Asad nodded and went back to working on his presentation.

As Tanveer went to the door and moved it further, she saw Zoya standing there. Seeing Tanveer, Zoya quickly wiped her tears. She had heard the whole conversation by accident. She wasn't crying because she was sad. In fact, she couldn't believe that Asad had defended her. She couldn't believe that he actually believed her to be his friend. She wasn't just a responsibility that his mother entrusted him with, she was his friend, Zoya thought happily. This only caused more tears of joy run down her cheek. Tanveer was too angry to say anything so she just left. Zoya took a minute to compose herself behind stepping in. "Zoya, tum yaha? Tum soh jao, mujhe kaam hai," Asad said looking up from his laptop. "Mujhe aapse kuch kehna hai Mr. Khan," she said. Asad stood up from his chair as she walked closer. Reaching him, Zoya wrapped her hands around his neck and hid her head in the corner of his neck. Asad was shocked! This was the second time that she was hugging him the same night. He felt his heart race as he felt her breath in the crook of her neck. "Kya hua Zoya? All ok?" Asad asked. "Thank you Asad," Zoya told him. "Thank you?" he said puzzled. Zoya broke apart and looked into his orbs, "Jee, thank you. That's all I have to say," she said. "Par kis liye?" Asad wondered. "For being my friend," Zoya told him. They both smiled at each other unknown to the jealous eyes that were observing them from the door.

Is all going to be good in Asad and Zoya's lives? What will Tanveer do now? Will she succeed? Keep reading to find out!
