hey chillax... i dont think people are bashing SJ... the whole dress issue that was being discussed was that it was not appropriate fr a setting in Pakistani family... we dint call SJ vulgar o obsene or antything... "WE SURELY KNOW TO KEEP A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHARACTER AND AN ACTOR"

Thank you for making this post :) this girl surbhi has done double role since many months but all I saw was criticizing her characters in show , didn't see any appreciation post for her hardworking doing a double role on daily basis .. so this post made me happy .. she as a person is dedicated and loyal to her work irrespective of the story , scenes .. If she has some power she would not allow those many illogical murder attempts on her character sanam, do mujra dance , get treated by her hubby like a servant , got an almost slap by her hubby etc .. even after all these she always kept saying she love her role and her work .. I for one feel this girl at least deserve something for her loyality towards the show .. the best thing can be the love and support from fans .. may God bless her ..

I guess the makers of these shows treat actors like models in clothes! Models show the clothes! They don't decide what it looks like or how it's preseted or the design! If they speak up, I guess they will be told to put on the clothes or walk away! (I remember a scene in PC's movie Fashion where a designer insulted her when she asked him to make a change to his design, but later when she had the power, she insulted him back).

Post is too good she is a amazing person n a talanted actor n she is just awesome in acting i didn't feel for one time that she one person that playing 4 characters every time i see her as sanam n seher i feel like they are really twins n two different persons i just love her on screen and off screen she is a gem person

SJ is one actress of QH who has been bashed right from the beginning. Initial days of QH for being ugly, being manly, later on for not being 'Sita' of her co-star Ram/Rams in following vanvaas and now for 'allegedly' not speaking up against the ongoing tracks, for not being a rebellion bandit queen against the creatives' un-creative insane tracks!
How many of us know exactly what's going on the sets of QH? Are we present there to see whether one actor/actress disagrees or shows displeasure with a track/scene or not?
We know only what they speak on in front of the camera of a channel. Both her co-stars expressed displeasure on the camera when they had pretty much decided to quit or move out or bored and had options open outside. When they got on board QH they were all pretty established actors and they have confident that they can get anywhere. It's not the same for SJ, it's her first and if she walks out of the show or gives statements against the ph in her maiden show, she will earn negative points or come across as arrogant for other PHs too.
Above all Gul and Gorky are her mentor, she has said it many times, it's not easy or polite to talk against your mentors. When there was a rumor making headlines that SJ is throwing tantrums and she is likely to be replaced for the same, Gul came out in the open quickly and rubbished all. That shows the bonding/care they have. For KSG and KVB 4 lions are just another PH that they have worked but for SJ it's her maiden PH plus mentors.
Anyhow people are free to have opinions and I can't stop anyone from that, so just put forth mine.
I admire SJ, I can't say she is an amazing actress though she has been amazing in few scenes as TM mentioned, otherwise she is a decent actress but I love her offscreen persona from what I have seen in IVs and social networks. Hope she does the best and gets the best.

I'll agree as much as I love Seher, I'm really biast towards Zoya. She is what made me love Surbhi in the first place! But I'll have to say I think she kept up the twin thing for long enough! And that has got to tire out anyone! Kudos to her!

Male leads come and male leads go in Qh, SJ stays.😆(Not a very good idea but still.)!

Same here, I am a little biased towards her Zoya. Zoya will be SJ's best till she does another iconic character. I remember the days while traveling in bus daily, I would listen those gushing of Zoya and her Mr.Khan. I recently met a girl from the different state and she is called as Zoya by her friends because of her obsession to that character 😆
Also SJ looked fresh and beautiful as Zoya, now she is worked up so much, double roles was a real bad idea when it didn't serve any purpose to story finally, though I loved Seher.

SJ got a lot of flak for even that mini skirt scene.😆 I found her very very cute in it...😳 One of the few actresses who can make a mini look innocent.

They did that on purpose so that she has to seek the help of Shaad to dress! They could have put her in a more covered outfit and that would not have been necessary! So the whole thing was a set up! What I objeted to was the fact that this women is in delusion that this man is her husband! So she let him hook her blouse and tie her dori! NOT a Liberty a women would allow ANY random man!

Then they show him actually doing up her blouse and trying to make it look like an intimate moment between a real couple! That was very irresponsible of the makers and I STAND by what I said, because it is true! They have dealt with this whole subject in a very casual and irresponsible manner! They just wanted to use that scene to show something "risky" between two strangers, when it was really not needed to further the narrative! So whatever I said,I stand by it!

As for SJ as an actress? She is very good and very talented! I also think maybe she dosen't want to quit coz this is her first show! Maybe she also deferes to the makers more than a senior actor would! They clearly protested against the story. (KSG did, KV did) but I don't know if SJ does! The other part was she came on the outtake segments and said she is "enjoying" doing these scenes and I think some people got mad when they heard that! I know what she meant, but it was a poor choice of words on her part, given the nature and context of the scene that they had just shot!

But as a performer I think she is great, and she has done very well indeed!

As for the BCC complaint stuff, most of us think this show has too much crap in general. Espeically violence! So some decided to complain about that! The scene didn't air, so that itself is no longer an issue! As for the Sanam being a "mujerewali?" I thought that was UTTER BS at the time and I said so! Personally that scene sucked! But that was STILL Sanam's choice! She chose to do that! Where as in the blouse hooking scene, she only "Chose" to invite Shaad to look at her and touch her, coz she was mislead! It is the lack of choice I objected to! If a women excersises her choice, whatever she is doing, then it is her decision. But if she is mislead, then it is not! The makers know the difference. They just choose to ignore it!

I agree 100% with your post. I personally found the bashing; she and Jannat, got for the scene OTT. She was abused verbally and it was horrendous to read. But now it seems people have the case of short term amnesia because suddenly the whole thing is being played as being disappointed in the track and the scene when most of the posts were about how she was dressed as an item girl on a kotha(Brothel) entertaining clients. It was described as VULGAR, disgusting, "almost naked", sickening, cheap and trashy. I won't deny, I warred between deep amusement and deep disgust when reading such posts. No matter what people claim now, those above words were used to DESCRIBE the DRESS. It's understandable when you hit out at the Prod House for such scenes but to abuse the character as bimbo and stupid for that scene and the actress for acting out that scene is just terrible. As someone who works in this industry, let me tell you, an actor has no say in the scenes unless he/she is a really big shot. And that was a thing of the past. Nowadays there are actors dime a dozen outside the sets infact. If you speak out, you are labelled as a problem actor and accused of throwing tantrums before they kick you out. Not many prod house are willing to give you a chance after that.

And I personally found nothing wrong in that scene. It was there just to highlight that she feels disconnected to Shaad as a husband. That was all there to it. But it was blown out of proportion and everyone involved in that scene was abused horrifically. Well to each his own. People have different opinions and perceptions but even the members who had no problems with that scene were bashed as hormonal teenagers/aunties. It was moral policing out and out and thank god the mods took action on it.

Anyway, she is a wonderfully talented actress and I've never seen Zoya but I admit, Seher is my favorite character in the show so far.
