I think a part of the forum has been kind of harsh on her these days and it wasn't required, really..so I just want to write something in support of her.

She is really talented, I think one of the best scenes she has done in qh is the car scene where zoya thinks asad is taking her to her father...her acting was so beautiful, so touching, so heartbreaking.I was not a regular qubool hai viewer and I read some appreciation of the whole sequence and her acting in the bollywood forum and when I saw the episode I really wasn't disappointed.That scene was amazing, zoya was amazing and surbhi was too.There is no way such talent is 'going to be out of work' once this show ends; when wooden actors with flop shows as their debut get work again too.

I know qh does not make sense now but honestly this is not the first time it isn't making sense...if we talk about vulgarity and indecency and stupidity then what about sanam dancing as an item girl to save her husband's izzat...that was a major moment for me, sometimes qh really does become one of the worse shows on Indian television.Another example could be nawab sr. painted in a good light..."oh he is just a bechara, tanveer manipulated him into physically abusing ahil" Another W*F moment!...and perhaps the actors should give their inputs and opinions..but we can't be sure that surbhi only cares about her job and not the quality of the show, may be she thinks as an actor she should only act and anything else would be interfering...may be she has given her opinions to the writers but they are still adamant on showing whatever that is been shown.This is her debut show and wouldn't the industry take her decision to quit the show differently than it takes ksg's and kvb's decisions?

She is the most talented new comer in recent times imo...I am a bit biased to her potrayal as zoya though, I think she looked the most beautiful as zoya too.How adorable was she in the bol na halke halke sequence? Not that I haven't liked her as sanam, I really have (though I think sometimes she became too exhausted because she had to play two roles and couldn't give her best..but that's understandable)

This was pretty random...just wanted to appreciate her openly once!

I just want to say, many of us who criticized the pairing and the scene that got cut.mentioned nothing about vulgarity, morality or dressing indecently or obscenity. Neither did we criticize SJ

Only a handful of people even participated in that recent thread on complaint to the council. Because not all of us who participated in the harsh--and yes I believe we were right to be harsh of that situation--criticism over the past few days said things on outfit or share same views regarding IBBC complaint.

Anyway, I am saying this because I would like to clarify that not all criticized the same way.

I myself stick to all I've said over the weekend and early this week. Not once did I say immorality, vulgarity, call into the whole show into question or call into question SJ's choices or Jannat's outfit. And there have been others like me as well.

There were those who did that as well, but not all of us fall under that. I realize those who didn't aren't who you are referring to, but a lot of those who criticized and what we criticized had nothing to do with her outfit.

Anyway, wanted to clarify on that.

Completey agree with your post ...

Surbhi is a nice actor and has done a good job in portraying three different character.

Those who say that she just cares about her work only ... do they really think that show runs on her wishes ...

Even ksg wasn't really supporting the zoyaan track but still pH decided to go ahead with that track...when they didn't bother to listen suggestions of a senior actor... Will they even care to listen to newbie's suggestion.

But want to appreciate this girl for her commitment towards her debut show ...she stood by it in it's hard times .

And that item girl track was the most cheap track in qh's history... Nawab's reputation will tarnished just because of a dance performance... And to save this , his own wife comes and dances for everyone ...seriously dude 🤔

Anyway everyone is tired of this show now... Hope to see her soon in nice show 😃

I know I said I was dissapointed with Surbhi for agreeing to do that scene! Because I think the scene sent the wrong messages about the situation that women was stuck in! Her clothes were never the issues, it is HOW her clothes were presented!

They did that on purpose so that she has to seek the help of Shaad to dress! They could have put her in a more covered outfit and that would not have been necessary! So the whole thing was a set up! What I objeted to was the fact that this women is in delusion that this man is her husband! So she let him hook her blouse and tie her dori! NOT a Liberty a women would allow ANY random man!

Then they show him actually doing up her blouse and trying to make it look like an intimate moment between a real couple! That was very irresponsible of the makers and I STAND by what I said, because it is true! They have dealt with this whole subject in a very casual and irresponsible manner! They just wanted to use that scene to show something "risky" between two strangers, when it was really not needed to further the narrative! So whatever I said,I stand by it!

As for SJ as an actress? She is very good and very talented! I also think maybe she dosen't want to quit coz this is her first show! Maybe she also deferes to the makers more than a senior actor would! They clearly protested against the story. (KSG did, KV did) but I don't know if SJ does! The other part was she came on the outtake segments and said she is "enjoying" doing these scenes and I think some people got mad when they heard that! I know what she meant, but it was a poor choice of words on her part, given the nature and context of the scene that they had just shot!

But as a performer I think she is great, and she has done very well indeed!

As for the BCC complaint stuff, most of us think this show has too much crap in general. Espeically violence! So some decided to complain about that! The scene didn't air, so that itself is no longer an issue! As for the Sanam being a "mujerewali?" I thought that was UTTER BS at the time and I said so! Personally that scene sucked! But that was STILL Sanam's choice! She chose to do that! Where as in the blouse hooking scene, she only "Chose" to invite Shaad to look at her and touch her, coz she was mislead! It is the lack of choice I objected to! If a women excersises her choice, whatever she is doing, then it is her decision. But if she is mislead, then it is not! The makers know the difference. They just choose to ignore it!

The thing is, whenever the lead actor leaves/quits whatever, the ex-fans (most do, from what I've experienced, from KSG to KVB) do start to critisize/hate on her. And for a while, (even though it doesn't make sense to me because essentially what they're doing is channeling their frustration with the makers of the show for the shitty storyline, on her), I get why they do it. We've all lost faith in 4Lions and their creatives.

But when I see people hating on her for not 'using her power' (whatever the f**k that's supposed to mean, I mean how do you know she has any jfc?!) over the CVs to change the storyline, or make things in favor of AsYa or SaHil or SeHan or whatever; or bash her for cotinuing this show and not quitting yet, I get pretty fricking pissed off. People with all these presumptions need to chill. They don't seem to realize this is her profession, and it's her first, big show. She owes a lot to. Her life doesn't revolved around her co-star or whether her fictional character got a happy ending, it revloves around working and making a living from her craft - and heck, she got an opportunity to play several characters, so good for her! And how do we know what the situation is really? What if she doesn't have anything else lined up or any other offers? People here can be a real bunch of whiny, petty, judgmental brats :) Maybe it's all in anger, maybe it isn't. I tend to keep my mouth shut around here tho because talking to the folk of IF is like talking to a wall, even if the comments do annoy me.

I got pissed when it happened to Sanaya and how fans bashed her for wanting IPK to continue even without Barun, because a lot of people's jobs were on the line. And I get pissed off here too when I see people commenting that the show should shut down - because the story isn't going how THEY want it to go. Y'all should've learned your lesson way back, these people will likely NEVER give your OTP a happy ending. So save yourselves a heachache, avoid this PH and watch a Pakistani drama. They're gold :)

Anyways, she's a lovely actress, my favorite from tellywood and from the time I met her, an even lovelier person :) People may not, and by no means need to appreciate her 'bimbo' role anymore (debatable, because I think most leading hindi soap ladies are bimbos), but give credit where credit's due. She's loyal and hard-working and a dedicated actress.

I'm off now but just wanted to thank you again for this positive post :)

I absolutely don't get the point why she is being criticized for doing the scene.That fake SR with Sanam2 was equally cringe worthy too. But I don't remember KV getting bashed for it ! Fair enough. He is an actor and was just doing his job. Then why so much harshness on Surbhi?

And another point that a friend of mine made above, when a senior actor like KSG couldn't stop ZoYaan track with his displeasure, Surbhi is still a newbie ! And I am sure that the show doesn't run as per her wishes !

Yes, I want Surbhi to be out of this damn show but at the same time I love her for the commitment and dedication she has towards it.

Kuch toh log kahenge logoon ka kam hai kehna...PS... was it decent when Ahil forced Sanam and untied her dori??? At that time also it was called 'vulgar'... i dont know why people watch valgar and indecent shows/scenes (if) for so many episodes and analyze everything 😆 I am personally okay with SJ not saying anything to Creatives! Current PAK track is 10x better than SaHil crap with SaHil 2 they showed... i would never want those track again -_- Jannat must not go back to her physically and mentally abusive pasts!!! LOL!!!! Same group of people wanted new guy for Sanam when Ahil raised his hands on Sanam... for me Sanam and SaHil is over 5 months back... i cant relate Jannat with those horrible stuffs ever... Hence i dont have any issue over pak story!!! once its turns crap i find something better... dont have time to analyze everything i dont like to watch 😆

I totally agree this show has had some ugly scenes! Asad and Tanveer in bed. (After she drugged him). In that even Tanveer was half dressed but that was the point. She wanted to make it look like something happened between her and Asad! The scene itself was cheap, but there the women was the one doing it! So she "chose" it for herself!

Fake SR of Aahil and S2, she was fully clothed! Only he didn't have a shirt on! But men stand around without shirts a lot! It is not the same for a women! He was however not in underwear, he was in pants without a shirt! The scene had nothing indecent depicted. Just the context of a man being mislead! Even there Sanam2 was behind it! The women was the one doing the dirty act! Her choice!

I think people who don't want to accept that the Shaad-Jannat scene was inappropriate, just either dont want to see it, or refuse to! Jannat is asking a man to "do up her blouse". What women asks a man she dosent know to do up her blouse? Usually a women will not even ask a random man to tie her dori! But this went a step further and showed him doing up her blouse as well as her dori. So her blouse hooks were off and so was her dori. Her whole back and stomach was exposed to Shaad! He is pretty much a stranger and he has no right to touch her! I bashed the makers for shooting that scene and trivialising it!

But as far as SJ is concerned, I thought as a women, she should have said something to the makers! Maybe she did? Maybe they didn't listen? But then she said she "enjoyed" shooting the scenes, and I think everyone thought well in that case she must have NO problem with any of it? Hence some bashed her! I don't bash her. But I felt dissapointed in her for not seeing the gravity of what they were showing! But clearly the makers were made to understsnd by "someone" coz they cut the scene!

But yes, if KSG and KV can't change GK's warped brain, then I don't think SJ comes close! But as artists they also need to speak up, if they feel they are being asked to do something that may be viewed in a bad light! After all, it is their reputation too! But I blame GK. Not SJ!

Btw KVB could also tell CVs to change SaHil2 witch story... i am sure he did but they never listened.. only then he must have moved on!!! so if CVs dont listen so called superstar karanvir bohra.. who is Surbhi Jyoti to listen?

The Aahil dori scene was not the same as this one! He did something wrong, but he didn't even know who Sanam was. She was not exposed, she was wearing a fully covered top. He just pulled the dori, out of his senses, and she managed to get away from there! It was a tacky thing, and she knew it! Everyone agreed as well! NO ONE said that it was "good!".

So I don't understand why people try to "pretend" that this scene was decent? It was not! Here a women is inviting a man to touch her coz she thinks they are a couple. He does so, when he knows they are not! Fully in his senses! So it was wrong! End of story!

People have the right to say they don't like something if they don't! They also have the right to say something is wrong if they think it is wrong! Not everyone ships everything and if shipping is someone's prerogative, then not to do so is also equally valid!
