I have not seen today's episode. I am pretty busy today. So this is not about the episode!

But since I heard the story that a relatively new actor Rahul Sharma is meant to replace KV as Aahil...a thought occurred to me! IF this is a straight up "replacement" it will NEVER work! No one will suddenly accept Rahul Sharma as Aahil. Either like I read in another post, he is an impostor that comes to take Aahil's place after he has an accident, OR he IS Aahil with a different face after an accident!

See in the movie Yeh Wada Raha (which I am sure most have seen. Huge hit in the 80's I think? My Mum loved the movie and I actually only saw it a few years ago, when someone gave me the DVD). Either ways, Poonam Dillon is the main female lead. She meets with an accident and her face is changed and she becomes Tina Munim. Her love interest Rishi Kapoor meets her again with this new face and initially he does not recognize her! But as time goes by, he starts to realize who she is!

Honestly it was such a beautiful story. A story of a different face, but the same person. It was a testimony to the fact that love happens with the "person" not their "Face!". I cried so much watching that movie. I totally believed it and it was honestly a superb story! IF these makers are smart, THAT is what they will do with the SAHIL story after KV leaves! Not bring some other man and tell everyone this is "Aahil" now. Like they did with Asad. (I hope they learnt their lesson). IF they do this version, then there is SO much potential to the story. Sanam will regain her memory, but this man is NOT Aahil to her. It will take her sometime to realize that this IS the same man. But with a different face!

Just like "A Rose by any other name" is still a Rose. A man with some other face is STILL the same man! This will be a real acid test of the SAHIL love story! Sanam will have to find the heart she fell in love with, coz the face will not be there anymore! I BEG the makers of this show to consider this storyline, if they intend to replace KV! (with whoever). Yes it wont be SAHIL as we know it. But SAHIL it will be with a deeper understanding, that goes beyond a face and looks and everything! I think THIS can actually work, and will make the story even more poignant!

Hope 4 Lions listens to at least THIS request! Let me know what all of you think of this idea? Should I write a story on it? :) These days I am struggling to finish my last story as it is SO depressing on the show and the forum right now! But let me know what you think! I personally think this is the ONLY way a replacement will work!

Also, this way they can use ALL the FB's as well, with KV in it! Imagine that? Pure genius ha? LOL

Sorry Mandy, a NO for me. No replacement please! We are talking about a tv show here not a movie. It might work for a 3 hours long movie story, but not for tv. A tv show of 5 days a week without KV? A no no for me.

I think something very similar was done with Ekta's show kahin toh hoga back then, when Rajiv Kandelwal quit the show. The lead character Sujal played by him comes back with total different face, different name and identity after Sujal's fatal accident. I am not sure whether it worked or not, because the show had run for long by then and the new actor was a pathetic actor. The same guy who was seen as Sanaya's fianc in RangRasiya just before the show got shut down.

I never watched any of those shows! But you are right the actor has to be good too! I was just suggesting something that CAN be done! But honestly if it will work or not? Total gamble! I just didn't want them to end SAHIL as a tragedy just like they ended SEHAN and to an extent ASYA as well! (At least they got SOME happiness together)

I was thinking along the same lines, I remember a TV serial where actress has accident

Face surgery and memory loss due to actreess change,

The voice was similar and the new actress was good actor

If that happens it's acceptable not a new Ahil leaping through flames, and poor Sanam cannot remember anything let alone new Ahil

Except here, Sanam has lost her memories. How will he remind her if he looks different? They could use their special memories and try to make her remember who he was and not the face that has changed, I guess.

Must catch this movie. Sounds interesting.

Curious as to how they are going to fit things together.

That will be the angle here Sage! The original angle was that Sanam comes to India with Shaad, Aahil meets her and she does not remember him! The same can be the case here too! Accept that when she does regain her memory, she still does not recognise this man as her Aahil! So it will be a process of remembering who he is for who he is! NOT what he looks like!

Will she remember the Junoon? Will the Junoon be the same? Maybe not! But at least Junoon will be there! Because at the end of the day, it is the person we love! Not their face! That movie was beautiful. It was so poignant. Because when the female character finally meets her ex fiancee, he is actually engaged to someone else! They had the accident together, and only his Mother knew she survived! She didn't approve of her, so she made sure her son didn't find out that his GF was not dead!

So eventually he agrees to marry someone else, in order for a business deal of his mother's to work out! Then enter his old love, but with a new face and identity. She dosent tell him who she is. But maybe naively expects him to somehow "recognise" her! She is shattered when she thinks he has moved on! She struggles to accept this reality, but decides not to tell him who she really is! But as always true love finds a way. So he eventually figures out who she is! I thought that was a great story! The only "change your face from plastic surgery" movie I ever liked. It was done realistically too! Her face sustained most of the damage and finally when they reveal her face to her, even SHE dosent recognise herself at first!

If they do something like that, maybe people will accpet the new Aahil! But if not this is going to so crash and burn in a very bad way! You can get away with it once maybe? But twice, and on the same show? Won't work! Killing Aahil to just make way for Shaad won't work either! Coz everyone will know why they did it! The audience will hate them even more for it! So finally being "creative" is the only way!

yes if they do it in the way you have explained then atleast the show can be on air for 2,3 months max...

but arent you expecting too much from the cvs ...?? we all know the cvs are 10th class fail...so this type of ideas wont pop up in their head no matter what ...

i'm watching this show from past 1 yr ...so i can now see things and can really think like qh cvs...i'm sure they are planning a RAHAFA reloaded with aahil...now they have selected a guy who just can't act properly...my grandmother have seen ek ghar banaunga and she told me that the PH has made a worst choice by selecting that guy...as many ppl predicted earlier that shad will turn negative but i dont think so because PH are giving a lot of mileage to toorkey and some good depths to his character and they are investing a lot in him...but all of this to turn him negative...?? no what i think is that after seeing his wife romancing with someone else

Sounds about right! I can't beleive that THIS is what they will do to an iconic character like Aahil? Turn him into Faiz 2.0? First we thought they will do that to Shaad! But I guess now KV is leaving, they will flip the coin and turn Aahil into the pyscho! So everyone will finally feel SO happy when he falls on a spike and dies! (Just like Faiz did) and the army officer and the damsel in distress can walk off into the sunset together the same way RAHA did! Exact same plot for Aahil Sanam and Shaad as RAHAFA! Amazing!

Hoesntly if I was KV I would feel pretty insulted right about now! If THIS is how they will eventually portray and end the Aahil character that he made so iconic! I feel terrible for him! Rahul Sharma will make Aahil a pyscho and a joke! Honestly GK and her team are sadists with twisted minds!
