Playing dirty is getting someone kicked out. Not asserting and negotiating for your own screen space. The other two actors didn't want the focus on the negative protagonist, hence they left.
He reacted and made sure he wasn't sidelined in a role and show he took a huge risk with.
The effects of this can be seen in other shows which came after SB where male lead is a negative protagonist. These shows do not work well creatively in an infinite format and turn to ridiculous situations after the other. But still, now when they are made, makers know they cannot rope in an actor as lead without sticking to it. If you want a lead-worthy actor to sign, you need to keep him lead.
As for Surbhi, my point is she seems to have no issues with the person who got him kicked out. 😆 More than happy with him, not just minimal professional contact or even needed cordial/friendly acquaintance. An angel would have protested and been put off with such unseemly behavior, no?
