Chapter 8 - Start of Bizarre
Seher rummages through the old newspapers trying to find some clues. Seher was dissapointed as she couldn't find about Dilshad construction or Asad Ahmad Khan. She hold her head in frustration and threw the papers away in anger and that's when her eyes fell on an article with Asad Ahmad Khan written on it. She gulped not wanting to meet any other dissapointment and finally took the paper in her hand.
There was the whole picture of her parents dressed royally with the smile adoring their face. An unknown smile plastered on Seher's face. She read the words written in bold
' The most handsome buisness tycoon Asad Ahmad Khan, owner and CEO of Dilshad construction has got engaged to Miss Zoya Farooquie'
Seher read the whole article.
"that means there will be other articles on their marriage too as media was going to cover the news"Seher said to herself and start to find the more articles on AsYa
In next half and hour Seher found many articles on Asad and Zoya including Dilshad's death and Asad and Zoya dissapearence articles.
She quickly gathered them together and thought to see all carefully with Amanat and Rehan. She took out her phone to call Rehan so that he pick her as he left from the place after dropping her due to work and Amanat is also not with her neither she has car to go by herself.
Rehan was working in office but he couldn't concentrate due to unknown feeling twisting his heart. From the time he left Seher in that strange place he has been getting strange feelings like something is going to happened, something wrong. He was trying to concentrate but couldn't, Seher's face always came infront of his eyes and that nagging feeling in his heart returned. He tried to leave the office and go to Seher but couldn't as Begum Sahiba was not allowing him and he felt frustrated. He throw the pen on file and leaned on chair feeling absolutely suffocating.
"what is this strange feeling not leaving my side? Why am feeling that Seher is not safe? Like something is going to happened? I cannot even go to her and Amanat? He is also not free don't know why Begum Sahiba asked him to help in office? Seher has not even called yet! Is she fine?"Rehan questioned himself but found no answer
He coverd his face with palm trying to shoo off the sudden insecurites of Seher's safety. Suddenly, his phone rang and he quickly took the cell from desk and look at the number. Seher! Finally! Sighing in relief he quickly recieved the call.
"Seher! Are you alright? Thank God you called I was so worried for you. Seher are you there? Why are you not saying anything? Seh"Rehan bombarded in one breath but was cut off by Seher who tried to speak
"Rehan am fine and..."Seher tried to say more but Rehan cut him off
"ohh thankfully you are all okay! Where are you now? Still at that place?"Rehan said
Seher tried her best not to shout on Rehan and shut him up as he was just keep on questioning without listening her. She couldn't understand why it felt like Rehan was anxious and worried for something. Seher was thinking and listening to Rehan's non stop batter when she heared the voice of closing of door, she was strartled by sudden voice as there was no one else apart from her.
"Rehan, wait a minute there is something"Seher said looking around and was about to cut the call when she heared Rehan desperate voice "Seher, Seher please don't cut the call, don't just don't cut the call okay? Pleasse"
"okay! okay! You just calm down"Seher said
Rehan's fear increases when he heared a loud bang from other side and Seher's words of something wrong, he was not able to understand his own sudden fears but shooing all he prayed that everything is fine.
"Ya Allah, please Seher ko kuch mat hone dena. Keep her safe please"Rehan prayed in heart closing his eyes
Rehan opened his eyes with shocked as soon he heared Seher from other side
"Rehan, the door is locked, I don't know how? But it is locked maybe jammed I don't know but it is not opening Rehan"Seher said from other side while trying to open the door
"What????"Rehan exclaimed in shocked but he became white as sheet after hearing Seher other words
"Rehan, the room is filling with some, some type of smoke"Seher said
Seher coughed as she felt difficult to breath standing between the smoke in that closed room.
"Re..han I... I coul.dn't brea..th, Reh..han sav...e me it's su..ffo suffocating"Seher said breathing heavily and coughing at same time
Rehan was shocked beyond belief. He was not able to understand what's hapening? First, those fears from the time he left Seher at that place, then the door got locked and now smoke that is causing suffocation fro Seher! The only thing that came in his mind was go to Seher and this time he will not listen to Begum Sahiba if she wants then he will resign but he will not let any harm touch her.
"don't worry Seher am coming! You try to break the door am coming"Rehan said desperately and quickly walked no ran out of the office with Tanveer screaming his name out
"aahhh now where did he went?"Tanveer said frustrately
Rehan sat in the car as fast as he could and drove off. He tried to speak with Seher but he could hear only coughs sound and some banging.
Seher tried to open the door but couldn't, she jerk it to and fro but that was of no use. She looked around the room for some other ways but found none. She couldn't breath anymore as the fog spread all across the room, she coughed to catch the breath but nothing worked, feeling suffocated she fall down unconcsious and the phone in her hand broke into pieces. Seher's head was hit with the some metal nearby and was hurt badly.
"Rehan"Seher whispered before slipping into complete darkness
"Seher"Rehan called as the line went dead and the fear of losing Seher increases
Rehan speed up the car speed and drive recklessly without caring for anything, Seher's painful face was the only thing occupying his mind and the fear enveloped his heart. He reached the place in 5 minutes and that was record.
He rushed inside the place and found it locked from outside. He was shocked
"how is this possible? Who did this?"Rehan said holding the lock in his hand
Rehan banged the door and shouted - "Seher! Seher! Are you there, Seher?"
There was no reply from Seher that panicked Rehan. He looked around to get something for breaking the lock and found a stone. Rehan broke the lock and opened the door. He was welcomed by gust of fog that suffocate him, he coughed and waved his hand near his face so to get rid of the fog.
Rehan entered inside and looked around for Seher, the fog was clouding the room not allowing to see anything and was suffocating at the same time.
Rehan shouted Seher name but there was no reply. He walked around the room to find her and finally found her on floor beside some newspapers. He rushed towards her, by now the fog was cleared almost as the door was opened and it flew away.
Rehan gently slap Seher's cheeks trying to bring him in conscious
"Seher please open the eyes, Seher look am here. Please, Seher open your eyes. Seher!"Rehan pleaded while his eyes become moist
Rehan was trying to wake up Seher when his eyes fell on his forehead and he saw the blood oozing from the side on her forehead. Rehan's eyes opened in shocked, his breath hitched as he remembered Seher's words of not being able to breath, his hands shivered as he brought it under her nose. He couldn't feel it, he couldn't feel her breathing! His own breath stopped, his heart stopped working as the worse thought cross his mind but he shrugged it as soon it crossed. Frantically and praying for her being alive he checked her pulses and to his relief there were faint pulses, her heart is working, she is alive and how much this only thought brought the relief nothing did. He looked around and finally took Seher in his arms. He looked at her as he walked outside.
Seher's face was pale and tired and the blood was smeared on her head. This brought the tears in his eyes as he thinks the consequences of being little bit more late, he would have lost her no no he can't afford that. He closed his eyes with guilt of not being with her, pain of seeing her in so much pain, worry of her health, fear of losing her and confusion of the reason behind this bizarre event.
Carefully, Rehan placed Seher on backseat. He then took out the water bottle and make her drink water. Then took out his handkerchief and wiped the blood from her forehead in reflex she winced little. Rehan took the bottle again and splashed little on her face.
"Seher"Rehan called softly with a hope
Seher fluttered her eyelids open and close. She opened her eyes little and the first thing she saw was Rehan's worried face
"Rehan! Re...han news.paper inside plea.se"Seher said with difficulty with close eyes
"newspaper?"Rehan said confused
"pleas..."Seher fainted again
Rehan looked at Seher in confusion thinking what was she trying to say? Thinking a lot one thing came in his mind that maybe, maybe she found the clues of her parents and knowing well that how much desperate she is, to know of them, he came out of car and locked it properly. He cannot take risk knowing someone else was also here who tried to kill Seher he cannot leave Seher unsafe.
Rehan walked inside the place again and searched for the newspapers that are clues and finally found some near the door.
"this must be the clues and must have fell down when Seher was trying to open the door"Rehan told to himself and collecting the newspapers rushed towards the car and sighed in relief seeing Seher safe where he left
Rehan sat inside the car and drove off.
Someone was seeing all this hiding behind a tree. He fumed as he saw them going off. He took out his phone and called someone
"boss, she got safe by some man"he told angrily
"am sorry boss but everything was done, I don't know how and from where he came"He told after pause
"he is fine and maybe the girl too"
"okay boss"
The man cut the call and looked at the place from where Rehan went.
"you choosed wrong path! Live as much you want because soon you will leave this world"He said with smirk
