Anii Love!! ā¤ļø I want to hug you for this gorgeous gorgeous and utterly gorgeous chapter!! :')) This was what I would call "SaHil Heaven". Yeah this is the title of their ATs too šŸ˜†
It was such an amazing trip down memory lane of all those good old glorious days of this heavenly duo, which made us crazy for them! Sigh! It brought such a big smile on my face, and yes, tears too! 😭

When she remembered that Anwar thing, and how he reacted on that, the way he should be! And also that he is happy that he now is knowing about her life before they met, ā¤ļø I love you for incorporating this!

How she remembered burning her Dhaba, and the anger and how he felt that THIS should be the exact reaction of her, Ani you kinda covered up all such small things which, if we would have seen, would have been amazing!

How he lashed out all his anger and frustration on that Washing Machine, remembering that this was ONE of the reasons of her being in danger! OMG Ani! I actually had goosebumps while pondering over that how and I mean HOW deep meaning that thing has now, coz he is remembering all the times when he saved her and when she needed him the MOST he was not with her, for her! And the oain he was feeling for that, he lashed out it at one of those reasons!! šŸ‘
The irony man! Sigh!
And how she tended his bruised hand and the dialogue at that, "did it spoil your shirt or something?" šŸ˜† SO CUTE she is! He laughed! :'))

And my favorite part. Can I just cry once again at the part where his eyes got wet when she was feeding him and he remembered last time she fed him when she was hurt. 😭 That GIF! I had tears man! And when he hugged her! Oh god Ani! 😭 So heartbreaking!

"Remember me Sanam..!" šŸ’”

This is a gorgeous story girl!! I can't just wait!!

Chapter 5:

The next morning, Sanam woke up to the sight of Aahil setting up a table of breakfast in the bedroom. He smiled as she sat up, confused. His eyes gleamed with a plan, determined to see it through.

He sat next to her. When she looked up at him, he cupped her face tenderly. Her breath hitched and eyes grew wide, the love in his eyes shining.

"Good morning Jaan..." and he leaned forward and kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes with the avalanche of emotions that small gesture evoked in her. She stared at him wordlessly, as he smiled back.

"I have a few surprises planned for you for today, First: Breakfast in bed. Second: This..."

He swirled out a blood red sari with a black sequinned border and laid it down on the bed in front of her. She continued to gape and dart glances from the sari to his face. This woman is so darn adorable, he thought, I do all this again, and she reacts the exact same way... I'm going to see it through according to plan this time around Jaan...

"Come on, get ready! We have a long drive ahead of us! Hurry up!" he prodded her as she blinked.

"Where are we going?"

"That I can't say until we get there. Just be ready quick!" and he left her, smiling to herself, to make other preparations.

Sanam freshened up and wore the beautiful blood red sari. She felt a strange nervousness being in this situation, is it dejavu, or just her feelings? She felt this moment very important somehow, she wished she would just remember already, she couldn't bear for Aahil to keep trying to make her remember something like this, and failing.

It was a beautiful sari and she felt absolutely gorgeous in it. Aahil jumped up from his seat and stared at her mesmerized. He watched her every step until she reached his side.

"This is beautiful Aahil. I feel like a princess..."

"You are a princess Sanam. Mine. You are so beautiful, words fail me..."

Aahil held Sanam by the waist, the heat emanating from his touch made her breathless. He suddenly pulled her close, and her hands trapped between their chests.

He tipped her chin upwards and said, "I love you Sanam.."

Sanam looked deeply into his honest eyes, and didn't know what to say. I think I may love you too. Not for what happened between us before, but for what you are with me now... But she had to settle with a "Thank you Aahil..."

He took a deep breath to calm himself and walked her to the car. They drove out of the farmhouse and onto the highway, a scenic drive with the windows down. Aahil put on some soft music to soothe the anticipatory mood between them. He took her right hand and placed in on the gear shift, and used her hand to change gears as he drove.

In between changing gears he gripped her hand, massaging and running his fingers softly over hers. She let him have his way, her only sign of being affected was her convulsive swallowing every few minutes.

After a while she couldn't take the sexual tension any longer, and sought reprieve in conversation.

"Aahil, tell me about Badi Ammi and Haya...where are they now? Why aren't they worried about me? I mean I was in an accident and they don't want to see me? "she asked. Aahil swallowed. He explained Badi Ammi's health problems and she was being treated in Simla. But in truth, he had no idea where she was. He told her about Haya, who had to annul her marriage to Faiz and marry Rahat, the one she actually loved.

He didn't have a phone number for her to call and enquire about her Badi Ammi. And he didn't want to involve Haya yet, as it would invite a host of stressful situations for Sanam, that he wanted to avoid.

Aahil felt like a worm, because he didn't know anything about her family and what's happened to them. So much for wanting to be a family man. He realized also that Seher might know where Badi Ammi was.

Sanam seemed to understand that he didn't have much information to give her about her family. So she took pity on him and changed topics.

" Fine, tell me about your family then..." she said.

Aahil spoke of his sisters who were studying abroad, a gambling-addict cousin who ran away after cheating his fianc, his Khala and Khalu and his Ammi. He didn't want to speak of his Abbu, or his birth mother. His right hand man Rehan, his stepbrother, sounded like an awesome person.

Sanam watched, as Aahil extolled the virtues of his Ammi. His stepmother Begum Tanveer. She couldn't explain the goosebumps that she felt hearing the name. She seemed to be an epitome of virtue, motherly love, sacrifice; practically a saint.

"Wow, Aahil! Your Ammi can't be this perfect... Can ANYONE be this perfect? Or is she perfect because you love her?" she asked ponderingly.

Aahil went quiet, frowning at her sternly. He didn't say anything, but he was not happy. The easy mood turned slightly tense. She removed her hand from the gear stick, feeling awkward.

Uh oh, it appears I have a rather sharp scalpel of a tongue... Mental note to self: DO NOT CROSS AAHIL'S AMMI.

"Sorry... I spoke out of turn. Forgive me... You are such a filial and respectful son, she is very lucky. My Ammi and Abbu died in a car accident when I was 2..." she apologized with a light touch on his hand.

Aahil swallowed. He remembered hearing that, her parents' in fact DIDN'T die in an accident, but in some mysterious mishap. But she got distracted from her investigation after he sent Rehan away to handle the Kohinoor project.

Goodness, was Rehan helping her find out about her parents'? And he was being a jealous brute!

"It's okay, forget it..." he said dismissively.

"Just like that? It's okay?"

"What..? I said it's okay..."

"You have an anger like summer thunderstorm, as quickly it comes, it goes..."

"Only with you Sanam... I can never stay mad at you for long..."

"Really? I'm that dear to you?"

"Of course, I Love you..."

Those words made Sanam go quiet.

"Get used to the words Sanam. Even if you don't remember me, I will keep saying it..."

Having effectively silenced her, he smiled a rakish smile and pecked her on the cheek. Her eyes grew wide with shock and blushed furiously. Aahil noticed that he can't remember ever flirting with her. Of course, they went from awareness to legally wed within days...

Time to fix that...

After sometime, they arrived to an open space of land. There was nothing there, a square piece of land bracketed with trees, a plot for a building.

"What is this Aahil? Why are we here?" she asked, confused.

"I gave you this plot of land Sanam, I wanted to build another dhaba for you..."

She looked about her with childlike wonder, unable to believe her ears. He would do this for me? Give me back my dhaba? Just like that? She looked into his eyes,

"Really Aahil? A dhaba for me?"

"Yes, Sanam. Come let me tell you the plans you had for the place..." He walked her around the plot and described what she had planned before. She listened happily, so touched that he remembered all this in detail.

She was so touched by his knowledge of her aspirations. She watched him speak animatedly, watching his face, lighthearted, happy and genuine. He then went on his knees right there in the middle of the plot, and gave her a beautiful diamond ring. It was an eternity ring, with sparkling diamonds running all around it, with their names engraved on it.

Her eyes glistened with tears, with love. I love this man, fiercely. I don't know what happened before, but right now, I love him so much. She took his left hand, twined her fingers with his and hugged it to her.

"Thank you so much Aahil. I can't describe what this is I'm feeling. It's all very confusing ..."

"Hey... relax, I'm not pressuring you in any way. I just wanted to show you the things we shared before," he gripped her hand in his clasp, and pulled her towards him gently. Putting his other hand on her bare waist, he held her close in his arms. She looked down at his chest, as she didn't dare look up into his eyes. Aahil rubbed his nose at the side of her temple, down her cheek, his hot breath made her swallow hard.

Aahil's lips hovered over hers as his hand drew circles of fire in her back. Aahil was seriously considering pulling back, as it didn't seem fair to seduce her like this when she couldn't remember him. But she caught him by surprise.

"Aahil..."

"Hmmm...?" he mumbled huskily.

"Kiss me..." she said, closing her eyes lest she regretted her words.

Aahil continued to stare at her lips, more than ready to oblige. "Are you sure?"

"I want to. Kiss you. The memories are a haze, but my body knows you... We are married...this can't be wrong, could it?" Sanam finished breathlessly.

"It's not wrong Sanam. But I don't want you to regret anything..."

"Aahil.. Shut up and kiss me, please..." she tugged at his collar and planted her lips on his. Aahil's hands crept around her and pulled her against him. One hand crept under the ties that held her blouse together as the other clamped her derriere possessively.

Aahil kissed her ravenously, their breaths mingling as they gasped between kisses. Sanam raised her hands up his chest to cup his face, her fingers touching his hair lovingly. Her fingers pressed down and stretched the skin over his neck, trying to pull him even closer.

He leaned back against the car, and let her lean on him between his legs. She touched him without being shy, just loving this feeling of being kissed by the man who loves her. She didn't want to think details, just to feel this moment. She unbuttoned his shirt to feel more of him.

He laughed lightly as she ran her hands all over his shoulders and chest, he continued to try and capture her lips again and again. He lifted her long hair away and buried his face in her neck, sucking on her skin, leaving bites.

Then she began to follow what he did. He saw stars in his eyes as she bit his neck lightly upwards, breathing into his ear. Who is making love to whom? He thought in the haze of passion. He cupped her breasts and she gasped as he quickly undid all the ties on her back to touch her naked breasts.

The sensations were too much for her, she was undone by the way his thumb massaged her nipples into tight nubs. He opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat, and made her sit across his lap. He pulled down her blouse and kissed her breast hotly, each suckle shooting sensations like lightning through her body.

She curved in towards his body as he tried to free more of her skin. He looked up into her eyes then, and decided this was not the place for their first time. Anymore than this and he wouldn't be able to hold back any longer.

"Sanam, baby, we can't do this here. We'll go get a room okay?"

She looked at him, nodded silently and straightened up her clothes. He tried to control his breathing and his raging desire, got into the driver's seat and drove to the nearest hotel. Hand in hand they walked into the lobby, within minutes they were walking to the suite. Aahil didn't let go of her hand, secure and tight in his.

After locking the door behind him, he turned to see Sanam unwrapping her sari delicately from her body. Her bare-back with the minimal red silk ties, hardly concealed anything from him. After setting the sari aside she reached for the ties, and looked back at him, as though asking his help.

Goodness , this woman is going to be the death of me... he thought as he went to her. He pulled the blouse apart and pushed it off, running his hands all over her bare back and shoulders. She raised her hands and loosely gathered her hair up and he sucked at her long neck , reaching forwards to cup her breasts. Sanam leaned back onto his shoulder as he licked and kissed, watching his fingers knead her breasts into tight sensitive points.

Then she turned and unbuttoned his shirt, discarding it quickly. She quickly unbuckled his belt and trousers, her knuckles brushing his abdomen. The action of slowly unzipping him in this state of arousal was too much. Pulling her hands away, he pulled her skirt off and pulled her astride him on the bed.

"Baby, are you sure about this? If you're not sure, we can stop now..."

"Do you feel like stopping Aahil?" her big beautiful eyes pools of slumberous desire.

Satisfied with her answer, he turned them over and lay her gently on the bed as he divested himself of clothes. She gasped at the sight of him, slightly intimidated. Aahil lifted her head and kissed her deeply, his tongue robbing her of thoughts. He took her hand and placed it on his arousal. She touched him tentatively, like silk covering hard wood. As she shyly explored him, he gasped into her mouth until he could take no more.

He moved her hands to his head and continued to kiss her body. Touching her intimately, she gasped aloud, before covering her mouth in mortification. Aahil smiled at her and continued fingering her until she was ready for him.

Nudging her thighs apart, he positioned himself. Just placing his shaft at her entrance, he suddenly kissed her roughly. Confused with his ravenous kiss, she was distracted from the pain of his thrust. Completely buried in her, he came up on his elbows and looked into her eyes.

"Is it too painful ? Are you okay?"

"A little... but it's starting to feel good. Please don't stop..."

" I love you baby..." and he kissed her hard as he began to move. Slowly, the erotic back and forth robbed her of her breath and made her moan. Each thrust made her moan aloud uncontrollably. She tried to cover her mouth, but he kept pulling her hands away. She bunched her hands in the sheets by her side, but he made her hold him instead.

The pace intensified and he groaned as she dug her nails in his back and wrapped her legs around him. She felt an urgent heightening feeling, the pleasure increasing and increasing to a crescendo. She moaned and gasped into his ears as he continued thrusting, until she could make no more sounds. She arched her back and shuddered with her climax as he held her through it.

Watching Sanam moan in ecstasy was his fantasy come true. Aahil stroked her back from her release, and smiled into her eyes when she finally opened them. Breathless, she smiled back, her hands running all over his back teasingly.

Suddenly he couldn't take it anymore. He thrust and thrust urgently, as she held his shaking form. He gasped and pulled at her hair as he climaxed, pouring himself in her and shuddering. He pulled her atop him and rolled onto his back, tucking her into his arms. Aahil tried to bring his breathing back to normal, his hand lazily stroking Sanam's back.

"Baby, are you okay? Did I hurt you?"

But Sanam had fallen asleep, her head leaning on his shoulder, lips swollen and color smeared away by his kisses.

"I love you Sanam. So much."

She cosied up into him and murmured, "I love you too..."

Aahil thought he might as well die and go to heaven.

Chapter 6

Sanam woke up to more loving from Aahil. They cavorted in the sheets and made love to each other without the urgency, taking time to savour each other. Sanam gave herself completely to Aahil, he was starting to feel like he was cheating her.

There was a lull in the conversation after breakfast, and Sanam sighed with contentment. Aahil felt this was the best time to open up to some serious talk.

"Sanam, I need to tell you some things. I need you to listen with an open mind..."

Sanam looked at him curiously, and nodded. Aahil patted the seat next to him, and she pattered across, his shirt looking incredibly sexy on her.

"We fought horribly Sanam, you and me. We clashed as soon as you arrived to work in my house. We had a horrible row over your insulting Ammi, and I went overboard with demanding apology. We had nothing nice to say to each other..."

"But I don't know how you ended up out hunting for my father's hidden will for my Badi Ammi late one night, and ended up buried alive by some goons. You rang me from inside the grave, Sanam. You were just yelling for help and it really frightened me. I don't know how I got there and how I finally found you, it was all a haze. But I do remember how horrifying it was to see you buried alive. You looked dead, Sanam! Thank God you came to..."

"I brought you home and you were unconscious for so long. You clung to me that night, asking me to never leave you alone ever... And I promised you I wouldn't...I think that was when I started falling for you..."

He stopped briefly, looking down at his hands. Sanam listened with bated breath, and poured him a glass of cool water, encouraging him to continue.

"That Will, Sanam... it made my life all topsy turvy. I had to be married before I turned 30 which was a couple of weeks away then. I never wanted to marry, ever, but there I was wondering if you would consider marrying me, and see where the relationship goes from there..."

"But I thought you had no feelings for me, you didn't even remember me promising you anything..."

"So you didn't actually ask me anything... you just made up your mind by yourself?" she asked cautiously.

"Then I found out Rehan loved you too. And I thought you preferred him. So I backed off... Soon, I was about to marry Nida, but it was you I wanted the whole time. And then suddenly there we were, married. Ammi said she paid you to take Nida's place, when she ran away..."

Sanam gasped. "I wouldn't accept money to marry someone. No way! Marriage means so much to me..."

Aahil looked at her thoughtfully. " I was devastated. I had finally got you, but you had to be paid to marry me. How pathetic I was. But I was angry too, all those lectures about self respect you gave, finally you let it go for money. But I wanted you. I wanted to make it work..." he exposed a little too much there, he thought, but now's a good time as ever to get everything off his chest.

"Slowly we started to fall for each other. I wanted to be around the house more, around you more. You changed me. You cared about me. And i loved that. Then you started digging around about my past..my childhood... You were unstoppable, you wouldn't stay away! You found out my father abused me and locked me up as a kid. And I went a little mad I think. I was so angry at you! I said a lot of hurtful things and really upset you. But you didn't leave me, you stayed by my side. I loved you more right then..."

" And then you helped me let go of my nightmares, the things I feared the most. No one cared about me that much Sanam. You made me let go of the dam of emotions, and you held me through it. I told you everything that night. What I did..."

"What did you do, Aahil?"

"I shot my father dead when I was 11 years old Sanam. He was beating my Ammi, and I shot him..."

Sanam watched him, her mouth agape. A sudden flash of memory appeared in her mind: an article about the Nawab sahab's death, and with that memory came one from her nightmares, of a plastic bag over her head and being suffocated. Pain sliced through her head and she bent her head.

"Ammi went to jail for me Sanam. She sacrificed her freedom for mine. I can never repay her. Although sometimes I wish she had let me pay for my sins, so i can move on with my life..."

"I told you everything Sanam. And you accepted it all. I never knew anyone more empathic than you. But you were convinced I was innocent. You're so sweet that way. You tried to find proof, and that had upset Ammi, who wanted to put it all behind us..."

" Ammi thought we would never work Sanam, you and me. She told me I'd never make you happy, and I believed her. I pushed you away, and you were hurting terribly. I thought I had pushed you away too far, when I decided to tell you I loved you finally, at our hotel launch. "

"But you shut me out after that Sanam. Maybe I was too late, and you had given up on me. I asked you for a chance to bring Ammi around and I was failing. I tried hard to win you over, I even proposed again, but you ran away on our wedding day."

Sanam gasped. What did I do to him? Why would I have done all this to a man who loved me? Tears welled in her eyes. How he must have suffered..!

"I wouldn't have done that Aahil! I'm so sorry I don't have the answers for you... But I don't think I'd have left someone I loved like that... I was jilted at the altar once Aahil, I know the pain. I wouldn't have run away like that. Maybe something happened to me... Did you look for me??"

Aahil went silent. No, I didn't look for you...

Why didn't I go looking for her?

"What made you think I ran away Aahil? What if someone kidnapped me? Someone who didn't want us to remarry? Why didn't you look for me and demanded your answers?"

Sanam's questions burned him. He was guilty of not questioning details. He just accepted what was told to him.

Ammi said Sanam had run away, and she was forced to bring a replacement.

Why did Ammi do that?

"If you loved me Aahil, why didn't you look for me? Surely you knew I'm not that kind of girl, one who would humiliate you that way?? Why Aahil?"

"I'm sorry Sanam. I should have demanded answers from you. But I was so upset with you, when you came back that, I convinced myself you meant nothing to me anymore..."

"I came back?! Why would I do that if I didn't want to be with you? What did I say when I came back? Did I explain why I left??"

"I never gave you the chance to explain Sanam. I was so angry, I just punished you and froze you out..."

"I must have had reasons, Aahil. To come back after running away like that. Why weren't you angry enough to demand answers? Weren't you curious as to why I came back? "

"I thought it was for money. You remembered that you stood to inherit half of Abbu's properties..."

"I remember myself enough to know I wouldn't do anything so heinous for money! Did you know me at all Aahil? What sort of a marriage did we have? How can this be love?!"

Sanam's onslaught of logic beat at him, he was deeply embarrassed with his lack of conviction.

"Ammi said so, Sanam..."

Sanam pulled herself away a distance, and Aahil felt the cold instantly.

"If your Ammi told you that I didn't love you, would you would believe her without asking me, Aahil? What am I doing here in this marriage? Maybe our separation was for the best Aahil. This could never be a happy marriage..."

"Don't say that Sanam.. that's cruel. Ammi means a lot to me..."

"Aahil, I respect your devotion to your Ammi. Don't get me wrong. That's your right. But, if you don't have it in you to love your wife equally, and not even give her some importance in your life, or even trust her at all, you had no business getting married in the first place. .." Sanam finished stingingly.

Aahil just stared back at her in silence, having no words to defend himself. This, and he hasn't told her about the other Sanam yet... he gulped. He had no courage for that as yet.

"All i know, Sanam, is that I love you, so much. And I'm willing to change, to learn to be a husband you would love to be with. I can't bear to live without you. My heart couldn't take it when the call from the hospital came, after your accident. I have never been so frightened in my whole life..."

"It looks like all my troubles started after I tried to find out about your Abbu's murder, right?" The swift change in subjects surprised Aahil.

"Could it be that someone didn't want the truth to come out?" she asked plainly, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"I don't know Sanam. That is why I've kept you here, alone with me, so you'd be safe," he explained.

Suddenly, Sanam clutched his arm and leaned against it. "What's going on Aahil? What's going to happen from now?"

"I don't know, Sanam. I just want you to get better. Then we'll decide..." he manoeuvred her into his arm and held her. He sighed deeply, a big load of his chest.

The conversation cast a pall over them all the way back to the farmhouse. Sanam looked out the window quietly through the ride, deep in thought. Aahil glanced at her every now and again, feeling like someone about to lose something.

He dropped her at the house and watched her walk in. He decided to walk down to the road side stall nearby and get some faluda icecream for her.

Sanam walked in with her bag and was surprised to see a woman seated there on the settee. The sight of her gave Sanam goosebumps, and a sense of danger. Her hackles were raised immediately, sensing battle.

"Sanam? Did you honestly think you could hide here with Aahil forever, huh?"

The sound of the older woman's voice gave Sanam such a headache she doubled over on the floor, holding her head. And limping man and colourfully clad woman informed the woman on what was going on.

"What drama are you up to Sanam? What are you playing at? I'll teach you a lesson for ruining plans I have made over so many years!! I'll kill you with my bare hands, I tell you!" the beautiful face bent into such an ugly grimace that Sanam couldn't stop the memories that came assailing.

Sanam heaved a deep breath, gasping. When her voice came, she screamed for Aahil.

"AAAHHIIILLL!!! She is the one !! She is the one who has been trying to kill my me ! She killed my parents too, and wanted to get rid of me ! Aahil!!.."

Aahil ran in to the sound of her screaming.

"Ammi...?"

Sanam heard that and fainted dead away...

To be continued...
