KVB is a good looking guy no doubt but that doesn't mean Rehaan would have became interesting if he played that role. For me she is right because:
See in the field of acting the execution of characters plays a very big part. Ofcourse the writing and dialogues and everything also counts a great deal. But the person who is going to deliver all this to the audience is the actor. And thus execution is everything at the end of the day when it comes to the entertainment world.

Now its true that I believe that Rehan is a character that has not been given a lot of depth and yes he does come off boring. But its not only because of the character itself. Its also to do with acting.

Now I have absolutely NOTHING against Shehzad. But I am a 10001% sure that KVB would make the character out to be totally something else with his acting itself just because of his phenomenal acting. We are talking about a guy who made millions of fans by playing such an anti-hero like Viraj. So I have no doubt that his acting would make out Rehan to come off as something more interesting even with the shallowness that has been given to the character by the writers.

Yes Shehzad is cute but he is also pretty new and really ABSOLUTELY INCOMPARABLE with KVB with regards to acting so of course the way he brings out Rehan would be just totally different from how Shehzad portrays Rehan.

Shehzad is young and new and thus would ofcourse improve and already have improved by leaps and bounds compared to how he was initially but for now...I mean KVB is KVB,,,,,someone out there among the really really top actors in India...sooo

Not bashing Shehzad in anyway its just my POV.

I hear what u are saying and perhaps I misread or took what angel said a different way. To me however, the character is as important as the actor playing that role. I have seen great/ popular actors/actresses playing poorly written characters or movies/tv shows. If I can't connect or relate to the character, I lose interest(I'm speaking just about myself here) and that's the case with Rehan (at least for me). I don't watch many indian tv shows so it's my first time seeing anything with KVB and Shehzad, so nothing against Shehzad ( hell there's 1st time for all actors, u improve with time).
I guess I should have mentioned in my earlier post that it was just my opinion. 😊

Actually I believe you got EXACTLY what she said and I kind of agree with you. 👏

I just deliberately took a different take to what she said and pointed out how Rehan would still be portrayed differently if it had been played by a more experienced actor.

I actually think Shehzad is portraying him pretty well as the character has been written out because Rehan is shown as a kind of OK and average fellow who is simplistic but also little weak in character.
He is self centric because of his orphan status and mostly thinks about how things affect HIM personally first and foremost which is why he comes off a bit dishonorable due to which he is unwilling to unequivocally tell Tanveer off with regards to her plans for Ahil.
In contrast he stood up and defied Tanveer when he wanted to marry Sanam because that's something HE wants and affects him personally.

Ofcourse Tanveer always does what she wants but IF Rehan was shown to stand up for Ahil with Tanveer privately like he did regarding his stand to marry Sanam, his character would also come off as being honorable as well.

I know all this is done deliberately by the writers for the drama element, but we can't deny that because of this Rehan does come off as lacking in honour a bit too because of this self centric approach to life.

Now the problem that some of us have is in accepting him the way he is portrayed and making excuses to explain away these character flaws regarding Rehan. For all intents and purposes I think this is how the Cvs actually intend Rehan to be like. And Shehzad is doing a great job in portraying just that.
So you are right in your response 👏😆

You know great actors put their own signature mark on the characters they play irrespective of what the Cvs put forth to them. And KVB is not just great, but an actor in his own league IMO.

👍🏼 That's true. And like u said, Shehzad is doing a fine job, perhaps Rehaan will become interesting to me overtime. But for now, I'll just blame the writers for not making Rehaan interesting only cuz he's a new comer and I feel bad blaming the actor.. Haha
