Sorry for being MIA on this topic guys. I always planned to come back to it, but I hadn't gotten the chance to actually sit down and read everything till now.

You guys have brought up so many great points and such great replies.

I will respond to this first because it's the easiest and quickest for me right now.

I don't think Aahil and Dilshad would recognize each other or remember each other from those few seconds in Punjab. It is more realistic that they do not recall each other and never realize it.😆 Only possible way would be if they ever go back to Punjab and Aahil recognizes the lane/street and remarks he once knocked on a house here to get directions and maybe Dilshad would recall the incident and then they would remember it was the other.

I still go back to one of the first episodes when she was explaining to Haya that princes don't waltz into a girl's life with the wind blowing in her hair and snatches her up.

Then ARI rings the doorbell to ask for directions and as he is walking away her heart picks up the faint beating of its soul mate walking away.

She looks out the window and only sees his back but she def heard the call :)

Yeah, though that wasn't a physical attraction but rather the 'filmi' sign and connection Sanam was dead set against.

But I remember it. It was well done, and people already had started preparing themselves for SaHil greatness when that happened. They weren't in the same frame, but the show managed to bring out their connection and that they were fated. #FeelingABitNostaligicNow

Good post KK.

I personally feel that there is a huge difference between getting physically attracted and falling in love even though physical attraction is the first step towards falling in love. For a girl like Sanam love is something beyond physical attraction. It's a strong emotional attraction and connection too.

IMO she started to fall in love with Ahil only after the Kabristan epi. When she was in that kabr she thought Ahil would be the only person she could trust and who could help her out and in her last moments (she thought they were her last) she only thought of Ahil, the person whom she hated so much or at least she thought she hated. And when she was unconscious and she was being nursed back to health again she thought only of Ahil even in that state. That was the moment for me.

After that the love only grew for Sanam through bitter sweet moments and keeps growing till date with marriage playing a big role 😳.

Could it also be on their first day of Ramzan, around the time when Aahil and her were giving food to the poor and then when Aahil said he's going out to say his prayers. That now he's doing all this why not to do the dargah too...?

I was impressed...maybe Sanam too?

KK!

Great to read you!

Love love!!!!!

Mwahhh

Yeah Sanam was a bit impressed there, but it wasn't physical. Though the date feeding was :rawr:

That reminds me of their Dargah scene though. It was a beautiful emotional connection there. Sure there was a bit of physical too when their fingers touched...but ohh...beautiful emotionally too.

Okay...hah, that's pre-marriage. Not post-marriage.

Even when she was repelled by him, there was an underlying vein of "something" there. That untold and un-analysed feeling we dont want to name. Sanam had that for Aahil right from the start and Aahil for Sanam.

The most clear indication is her constant seeking of validation of "who am I to you"? She seems very interested in this answer. So to me that is very telling.

To me the MOST obvious sign of attraction to Aahil post marriage was when she unabashedly stared at him when he was topless. Even Aahil noticed she was totally checking him out. She wanted him and that was clear! Now she just touches him and goes close to him without hardly ANY reservation.

How much longer will Aahil be able to hold out against his innocently seductive wife? Not long is my guess! The fact that he has to date is a testimony to his complicated feelings for her. She is not just "another women", and with her it wont be Sex. So he is hesitating. Cant wait to see how things pan out this week!

Where as most women would hesitate to have "just sex", most men hesitate when they know it's "Not just sex"!

@bold. Yes there was always that underlying vein of "something." I believe more so for Aahil, while for Sanam it was that attraction which we can see in many instances. After Kabristan, I believe it became more emotional though Sanam is not aware fully. Hee eyes always went to him, she looked to him for support. She is somewhat affected by his engagement but doesn't really realize why or even how much she is affected. She us unsettled.

I do believe she somewhat is aware when they go to the Dargah and farmhouse. But she pushed it deep, deep down because she cannot fathom it. She saw him caress her face in the rear view mirror. She has that Dargah encounter with him. And then, finally Nida herself confronts her. She of course denies. But she still asks Aahil "who am I to you?" You don't ask that if you have no awareness. She lashed out partly because of Nida's words earlier, and perhaps asks that question for the same reason. But why ask, if you fully rubbish and think Nida's claims to be bogus.

What did she expect or hope to get from that question? I have no clue. Perhaps it's an emotional reaction coming from deep within which she herself doesn't understand and pushes down. The way she followed him, screaming and yelling, like a charged emotional eruption between two people with romantic inclinations.

To this day, I can't fathom how she could've been completely clueless and not see Aahil's hurt reaction and face. Deep down, maybe she saw it, but she pushed it down because she dare not even think or entertain it. It is not her place nor position. But still...she kept looking to him emotionally till the very end (before the new beginning)...the night before the Nikkah.

Yes, exactly. That time he cornered her after Rehan, the attraction is damn obvious. They clearly focused on her feeling it once he removed his hands.

Here, it's not as pronounced, but it's clearly the case as well.

Sanam is a practical girl, who doesn't think romantic love stories will ever happen to her. Because she is so used to seeing the practical side of everything; rent to be paid, business to run with salaries to be paid, hospital treatments to be arranged etc.
Even when she was stood up at the altar, or rather humiliated, she was extremely hurt, but valiantly put aside her hurt and thought out ways to get them back on their feet. She wasn't marrying Anwar for love, but rather to secure her family together as one unit. But she got doublecrossed so badly by the rat.

She is not perfect or infallible but she values her self respect. She admits she has a horrible temper, and she can't control what she says when she is angry. But she readily admits her mistakes and isn't reluctant to apologize. That's the part of Asad in her that I find most endearing. Strong minded independent girls like her need men just as strong in the mind. Rehan would've just done whatever she wanted.

But she is a girl, a normal girl who finds men attractive. She fought with Aahil, found him Immovable in his Ziddi. But she found him admirable when his mother came into picture. And he looked good in a sherwani, that she stopped to stare...😆...

She was touched when he looked after her after Kabristan, his fairness about someone he 'hated'. Also after the human washing machine, she was very grateful, but each time he pushes her away, confusing her.
Sanam loves differently. Hers isn't a 'dhak dhak time-stand-still-bouncing-in-the-clouds' kind of love. Hers began as a realization that Aahil is a very good and genuine person, with an outer mask of hardness and arrogance. She is very grateful for his help in her life, and wants to show her gratitude by caring for him.
She finds him very attractive, but doesn't feel worthy or even deserving of a rich man like him. Even now, if he didn't say he loved her, she would be heartbroken but she wouldn't blame him at all. She would have left him with no hard feelings.

He has to tell her fast... ! Or he's going lose the love of his life ...🥺

@bold. Yup. His dedication to his mother allowed her to see him in a different light. The very fact that she was pleasantly surprised that Aahil was about to praise her, says a lot. Then when he didn't, she grumbled that he can't bring himself to praise properly. By this time she had grown somewhat accustomed to him. And right after that, she was willing to start over when she thought he was talking to her (but was really talking to Nida). It was so endearing: "Mera dil bohut bada hai."

People always say it was him saving her at Kabristan which made her suddenly positive towards him. It was happening even before Kabristan. Kabristan just sealed it.

And since this is like three weeks' old. Can I just say now, it was the most beautiful thing to see this practical girl realize she loves Aahil (yes, I am sticking by it and unless I'm proven otherwise will continue to go by this). It is one of the best realizations I've seen. Befitting of such an endearing, practical character as Sanam.

Great topic btw. Liked your observations.

Sanam first got attracted (physically) to Aahil when he gave her a glimpse of the "sin." When she saw him with the girl in the haystack. She was interested in the act right away and got really into OMG, it's that guy, Emran Hashmi, what is he doing, etc etc. That was followed up by many shirtless scenes where she couldn't stop looking at him (this is what KV and Surbhi joked about). She is into the whole deal. He's easy on her eyes and she is quite shocked by how far he went with sex and all. Basically, he awakened the sexual interest of hers here, very early on.

Emotionally, I think she is attracted to him from early on, but she doesn't think he is. She was looking out for him during some wedding prep for Asma and saw him in a sherwani for the first time. That's when she thought he had traditional potention and the lust became something more. She could picture him as more hers, something to do with her, someone to see that way a little, etc. And you know the rest.

Now, everyone can freak out hehehe.

No one's freaking out. Most agree with you. 😛

Agree with @Gita, @Sana in the previous page too. She was attracted to him. He was too, but this is her first attraction. For him the physical attraction was there, but it was more so for Sanam. For him, it was more that *something about her* --till Kabristan of course.

Then it became love for him, an definite emotional attachment for her...and then marriage happened. I never really thought of her emotional attraction that early. But I wouldn't discount it either. But one thing I would definitely say is she indeed became very much emotionally attached and attracted to him post Kabristan--much more than whatever she had prior to it.

Ishq pe kisi ka zor nahi... Suna tha maana kabhi nahi AAJ MANTA HUN ... Ishq per wakai kisi ka zor nahi " Aahil's Aaj maanta hun was ... So full of feelings... it always always brings tear to my eyes ... anyways i hv deviated from ur post...

Yes before marriage Sanam was attracted towards Aahil as was evident in so any scenes like when he was applying cream on her burnt hand, Swimming pool one, she staring at sherwani clad Aahil but the first time i felt she felt something for him was when she wakes up after qabaristan incident .. the way she was looking at him... was somewhat lost... eyeing in his direction even after he left... Then again after washing machine thingy when Aahil came n saw Sanam Rehaan hugging the way she was looking at him was something... she was feeling some uncomfort which she was not able to understand...

After marriage first instance would be exactly the one u described... but i think during Wakil Saab act the way she was looking at him n was like trying to comprehend whats this... is he actually trying to say ... n he is meaning it or is he just acting... although he cleared it to her in the room but YES she was aware of his proximity first when he stopped her from going n then on bed... n afterwards during shirtless scene it was quite clear that she is attracted to him... when he came close to pick his shirt,,,, he bent n she just caught her breath n trying to compose herself... such a beautiful capture it was...

@black bold. That really is beautiful. And so apt after the choomantar episode.

@red bold, they really did have some kind of untold emotional attraction there. That post washing machine blow up was too charged and emotional--it isn't how people without some kind of close connection act. Not the way she lashed out at him and asked him those questions. And nor the way she went after him yelling and screaming...It was like a tiff between emotionally volatile couple.

No way she didn't notice something from Aahil's expression when he came back. She just ignored it and pushed it down...but even then still kept looking to Aahil for emotional support.

@bold blue. Yes, she very much believed it and wasn't quite sure how to react. She believed it in a confused sort of way. When they came back to the room she didn't know how to go about afterwards. Aahil knew she was believing it. There was a point there where he looks at her, searches her face/eyes you see a realization in his eyes. I don't remember what exactly, but he changed the tone of that 'confession' then. He started to wind it up, and then said they would have dinner in their room.

I believe he told her what he did, twirled her off him, because he saw that she was believing it. It's why he told her to remember her place, and that he will pretend as much as he wants but she should not take it to be real.

It was still only two or three days after the marriage And damned if he's going to give her that upper hand.
