Why I don't pity Rehaan

I am always the one to feel for unrequited love and I do feel bad that Rehaan, who seemed oh so perfect for Sanam had to lose her and that he has to live the life of an orphan due to his mother's manipulative games. It's sad that his father never owned up to him and neither Asad or Zoya were instrumental in making Imran do that. But I don't feel sad for him. Mainly because I feel he is cheating Aahil. Yes he doesn't agree with his mother and tells her to stop her games but he is fully aware of her intentions and knows that Aahil is being played for by her. Whether or not Sanam loves Aahil according to him even Sanam is party to this facade of a marriage. It is easy to accuse Aahil of snatching his love and feel betrayed but what will happen when Aahil will gave the truth? What about his sense of betrayal then?

That's pretty much why I have no sympathy for Rehaan although he is not negative. What is he thinking? His mom will take property and he will stake his claim on Sanam and Aahil won't feel a thing? Anyone who says that Aahil is ruining the only one relationship that has been honest and pure do far, isn't Rehaan doing the same, selfishly or not?

Thoughts???

Mona...a post after a long time...and I happened to stroll into the forum just by chance...Yay!!!🤗
Both are men in love behaving badly. One is possessed by jealousy and the other by want.

I agree with all you so. So no argument from my side.
Rehaan needs to own up to Ahil, if not him, atleast Sanam. He may not be in a position to tell her that he is in love with her (for story as well as his personal ideological reasons) but as a friend, he could hint her out that this marriage was accomplished for greater reasons than the ones that she was told.

Ahil's behavior with Rehaan is understandable even though not right. The boy within him was never truly loved as was shown on his birthday. And he has finally managed to fall in love and is being constantly reminded that even though he may have married his love, she truly belongs to another (at least in his own mind).

I am enjoying the triangle to be honest. It has angst, and drama.

The other triangle the less said the better.

Totally agree !!
He is aware of his mother's evil plans and is turning a blind eye to it and kind of just playing along.
Also Aahil just did what his mom told him to although for his own reasons (agreed cos of his love) and sanam had said qubool hai too..

I had started feeling so irritated with him being in all the junoon movements all the time with his sorry face standing there. Eyeing sanam like a lover. I know he loves her but he should keep a check on his emotions as sanam is married to his bro now..

Agree with you!
Nothing can justify Rehan not warning Ahil about his Mom's plan.
I've no sympathy for him losing Sanam, in fact i enjoy his agony, when he seems the SaHIl express gaining momentum right infront of him.😆 He assumes that Sanam would have loved him and will never love Ahil.
I do feel for him as an abandoned child, that's about it. Must say, the actor has improved a lot and can appeal to certain section.

Agreed Mona.
Me too have never sympathised with Rehaan.
Yesterday was the first time I felt bad for him, not coz of unrequited love, but for these 2 reasons:
1. He doesnt know who his dad is and his mom is not forthcoming either. So what should he suppose ... Ugggh, what a turmoil it must be for him.
2. When Ahil was bossing cum insulting him around. AHil miya, your family has adopted him right. If he is ur brother, you have no right to boss him around. And if he is ur employee, you still have no right to insult him.

But other than this, I don;t feel any pity for him. He was never a part of the triangle. Ahil assumes he is, Sanam is not aware of any line of the triangle.

And coming to my biggest grouse against Rehaan. He loves Sanam. good. He wanted to marrry her - Very good. He wanted to take care of her family - Fantastic.
But during the nikaah, when Ahil was being coerced to say Qubool Hai, he should've been a man. He assumes Ahil hates Sanam and vice-versa, he knew his ammi was blackmailing both of them, that was the time for him to stand up against Chotti Begum and claim that he loves Sanam.
He had a chance, He lost it. Forever. Now, he lost the right to even dream of a life with sanam.

Gitey - He knows his father's name since Tannu when revealing that she is his mother said that his full name is Rehaan Imraan Qureshi. He only needs to go to the right sources and get info on his father. But he is too busy watching SaHil romance and sulking.
And yes I feel bad for that child who did not experience the love of his parents and only for that reason I want him to stand up against his mother. And also spell it out to her that the Nawab's wealth is not going to make up for his lost childhood and now his love.

Rivs, So good to see you back.😊

Did Tannu say that? I missed it I guess.
During the Sanam burial scene, Tannu and Rehaan met and it was shown that Rehaan already knows that Tannu is his ammi.
But which source can he go to? He has absolutely no idea of his family or lineage. No living relatives, noone from the past. And the urge to find the roots comes with Zoya's genes, not Tannu's, I guess.

The evil look he gave when he embraced Tannu, makes me go with ur theory of Rehaan being planted by Razia. I still feel it is possible. I need one scene between Razia and Rehaan, so that next round of predictions can begin.

I agree. I feel bad that he grew up without parents. But Rehan is not the only parent less child here. So did Aahil to some extent. His biological mother died. I don't think he even really remembers her much. Then his father was strict and abusive. He died too.His step mother was loving towards him, but never actually loved him. He had money, but no real love, care or guidance.

Aahil is more worthy of sympathy than Rehan. At least Rehan has a mother and she loves him in her own way. But Aahil has no parents and his step mother has played him all these years. A whole part of his identity and sense of self hinges on his belief that he killed his dad and that Tanveer saved him by assuming guilt. So a big part of his life is based on a total lie!

Rehan may feel some loyalty to Tanveer as she is his mother. I understand that. But he still is betraying Aahil by not sharing with him the truths he knows. He also had the chance like you said to stop the marriage. He could have spoken up but he didn't. Yes he is not money greedy like his mom. But it still dosent excuse the way he is letting Aahil be played.

No one is thinking of Aahil and what all this will do to him? He may happily give his wealth to Tanveer. But if Rehan thinks he will happily part with his wife for him?? Well then he is labouring under a huge misapprehension. If not before, then the display he was subjected to in front of Aahil's friends should have made clear to him, that Aahil is serious about his marriage. If nothing else, then Rehan would have at least seen that Aahil is very possessive of Sanam. Is it just because she is his wife or is it something more?? Only time will give that answer to Rehan. Well either ways, Rehan better clue up. I felt bad for him when Aahil was rude to him. But given Aahil's state of mind I didn't expect better!
