I'm usually silent on this forum, but I love this post! I'm half Indian on my dad's side. My mom is half German half Turkish. People here in Canada seem to think its super exotic so I've never had problems!

Interesting thread. I've always wondered how mixed race people deal with their cultures. I get so much lectures from my mum for being too British and I'm not even mixed. Is it difficult juggling two different cultures that are supposed to be your own?

Thank you and its a good question actually 😊 and about you being to British, i think all mothers are the same, so don't you worry 😉I personally think it's very different from person to person or families, for that matter how they handle the cultural differences. It is actually very hard to "chose" your real culture, because you are a sandwich between the values and beliefs of two different cultures. If i take myself as a example, then I can tell you that, my mother's family is Danish and Catholic (not my mother she is Muslim) and they live according to their religion and my dad and his family is Muslim. When I'm celebrating Christmas with my mom's family i live like them and love their company and when i celebrate Eid with my dad's family I live like them and vice versa The reason is because, the Danish culture is extremely different from the Pakistani culture and i get a bit confused sometimes and as you say it is difficult juggling these two cultures and fit into it, since I'm a Muslim 😊 but otherwise i love having two different nationalities and cultures and of course respect every religion and respect the values and meaning of every religions 😃P.S. I know it's a looong answer, but just wanted to be thorough 😳
