Chap 10 Before the storm
-Finally, I'm in holiday , sighed happily Zoya. She lied down lazily, she slipped her naked feet into the hot sand, she felt so free, she spread her hands playing and caressing the white sand. She closed her eyes du to the strong light of the sun on her face, but she didn't care. She was there , lying and enjoying her solitude, when she felt a veil protecting her from the sun. She opened her eyes and saw someone standing in front of her. She extanded her hand to protect herself from this shining and to be able to see the face, but the features of his face was unclear because of the light behind him. She asked:
-who are you?
-I'm waiting for you, he said soflty
She repeated again "who are you?", she sat up and found herself in her bed, she was just dreaming. It wasn't a nightmare not even a beautifull dream, it seemed that someone is calling her. She just shook her head and her eyes fell on the clock.
-holy sh**, I will be late!!!!
She ran to the bathroom and looked at her reflection, and she remembered everything looking at her lips. Party, the dance, Asad , Akram, the hug , every picture flashed in her mind, that wasn't a dream for sure, everything was truth. She hid the wound on her lips and on her jaw with her make-up, thank God, it was minor , it wouldn't be hard to dissimulate it.
Finally, she reached office without being late and went to her cabin. She found Nikhat and farhan
discussing with a stern look. Akram wasn't there, after what happenned, he won't dare showing his face, she though.
-Hi guys
-hello Zoya, did you hear about Akram?
Zoya froze for a second, and shook her head in no.
-Police picked him up this morning
-but ..but why? asked Zoya shocked by this news
-well , for harassment, there is a God, finally, I just hope he will get what he deserves.
-but do we know who filed the complaint?
-actually not, but ...
-Miss farroqui?
They were interrupted by Asad who came, looking tensed.
-Jee, mister khan,
-come with me, please,
-jee , I'm comin'
Zoya and Nikhat exchanged a quizzical look to each other, and Zoya followed Asad in his cabin. He let her enter first and closed the door behind them.
-Mister khan/miss farroqui, they said in the same time
They smiled and he asked her to start:
-Mister khan , did you call the police for akram?
-yes, Miss farroqui, I put a complaint against him
-but..
-don't worry, your name and what happened will not be mention, only if you decide, I investigate and I learnt that he misbehaved with a lot of girls in my office, all those person are my reponsability, I feel shame and guilty for not protect them, and I promess I won't stop until he will be behind bars. he said angrily.
She couldn't help but smiled proudly at him. He thought about everything and like always he protected her from everything.
-but Miss farroqui, there is a problem still,
-what Mister khan, she asked worried
-he..he escaped from the police
Zoya gasped in horror, he held her by shoulders
-don't worry Miss farroqui, we will catch him but until it's not done, I will bring you back home everyday, and every morning. Until we didn't catch him, you won't come home alone, you have always to be with someone or you have to tell me where you are and with who? understand?
-but Mister khan, in the morning , I can catch the bus or usually it's Ayaan who brought here, and really .I don't want my collegue to gossip about us, I..I don't want...
-I don't care about that, I only care about your safety;
-mister khan, please, I'm not in jail, I will be fine, he won't harm me, she jerked his hand from her
-I won't let him, he said with a serious tone
They stared at each other,
-I mean... We will catch him, if he even tried to approach us, I guess he will try to take revenge from you. Everytime, you are outside of the office or your home, you should no be alone, understand?
-but Mister khan, she protested
-this is not an advice, this is an order Miss farroqui
-what about you? He may get a revenge from you also
-Don't worry for me I can manage, just do as I asked you without complaint,and for the gossip, we can find each other in few meter away from the office, where no one could see us, is that ok for you?
-you planned everthing, don't you think you could ask me first about my opinion? she said annoyed
-I don't think so, he smirked
-Jo hukum mere akka , she teased him
-second thing, Miss farroqui, he said ignoring her
-what again?
-Akram was responsible for our security, he may have all the code and different way to harm compagny, I know that you are not a senior but he showed you everything, I want to handle all the thing until I enroll a new person for this position.
-don't worry mister khan, I can do it and protect this compagny, I will manage to check up
everything.
-that 's good, so please, now you can go and started.
-as you wish big boss
He rolled his eyes and sat to his desk while she left.

Days had passed and Akram wasn't been catch yet, which means that Asad and Zoya always used to come home together. As much as Asad was worried for Zoya as much as he indirectly thank Akram for spending time with Zoya. She used to talk a lot, a lot for Asad but he knew many things about her, her hobbies, her dislikes, her best-friend etc. Asad as usual was not a talkative person, most of the time he just nodded to her, admiring her and her antics, enjoying her laughs and her sweet smile.
One of the day, after a tiring journey, Zoya sat on car but she was silent for a change. Asad glanced at her, she seemed lost in her thought, looking outside the window, she sighed deeply.
-are you ok, miss farroqui? he asked worried
-yes, I'm fine, just a long day Mister khan
-are you sure? he asked again not convinced by her excuse
-yes, what could be else?
-may be akram?
she blinked surprised and he smiled at her.
-mister khan, it has been 2 weeks now, I'm really fed up of all of this, I can't go outside alone or here and there without looking around me, I suffocate Mister khan, really, she said with teary eyes.
Asad parked the car and turned to look at Zoya. He took her hands in his and looked into her eyes.
-Miss farroqui, I know that you are tired of all of this, but it's for your security and nothing matter
to me more than your safety. I asked you to be patient, it's only matter of few days and we will in sha Allah catch him.
-but Mister khan...
-I know, just a few days, I promess, just try ...For me, he stared at her soflty.
Zoya felt her heart melt away by his face and his concern, he never asked her before ,he always used to command but for the first , he asked her to do something for him and she just nodded quietly.
-Ok, mission one accomplished, now mission two
-what are you talking about? she asked him suprised
-just wait, you lost something today and I will try to bring it back.
She raised her eyebrows, Asad went outside and asked her to wait. Zoya followed him throught the mirror but wasn't able to see where he went. She got back to her thought looking outside. After 5min, Asad opened the door hiding his hands behind his back. She smiled at his antics and asked him with her eyes.
He was holding a pot of ice-cream, with a pink small spoon in it. she smiled widely revealing her dimple and her teeth.
-wooow, mister khan , for me?
-yes , your favorite, vanilla and stranwberry flavor, he smiled proudly
-I...I don't know what to say, her eyes dressed with water
-just take it,
-thank you so much , Mister khan that's so sweet of you, she was touched by his concern.
He sat back, putting his seat belts, feeling happy that he successed in bringing her smile back .
-Mister khan, where is yours?
-Mine? what did you mean?
-your ice-cream, you didn't take for you
-miss farroqui I'm driving as you can see, he mocked her
-I can see, mister-one-task-ahmed khan, ok so let's share mine
-no, miss farroqui, to much calories, and it's not healthy , no thank you
-just one spoon , please mister khan, and she took one and gave it to him. But while Asad tried to stop her, he accidentally hitted her hand and the ice-cream fell on his black coat.
-Misss farroqui, he growled in frustration, not again, he massaged his temple.
-sorry , I'm really sorry
-have you got a problem with my clothes? You liked spoiling them, he glared at her annoyed.
-excuse me??? it's just vanilla,OK and don't be hyper, you just need to put water and it's done,
-Miss far..., he was stopped by a spoon of ice-cream in his mouth, he looked at her shocked
- good hai na? she showed him a million dollar smile.
He closed his eyes in frustration, chewing the ice-cream, when he finished, he started by calling her, when she once again putted another spoon but this time of strawberry flavor. He shook his head in disbelief.
-ok, I will stop, you was supposed to taste both, but now it's all for me, and she got back to her pot , grinning like a little girl happy with ice-cream. Asad , looking at her, smiled inwardly.
-by the way, mister khan, how do you know my favorite flavor?
-you told me, I don't have superpower,
-so you used to listen to me, she said naughtily
-actually, you often repeat yourself so I have no choice than to remember, he teased her badly.
-Mister khan, you always surprised me, how can you be sweet for a moment and rude just a second after? She shooked her head, he just aswered her by struggling his shoulder.
-miss farroqui, do you mind if I go to pick up humeira before bring you back home?
-not at all, i will be happy to see humeira

In college
-humeira study here?
-yes, why?
-what a coincidence Ayaan also, but he never mentionned her, maybe they are not in the same discipline,
-yeah maybe, I will call her,
-Can I join you, I like the college atmosphere, I feel nostalgic, she sighed dreamily.
He rolled his eyes and went together inside. Asad and Zoya turned their head right and left when Zoya's eyes fell on Ayaan.
-Mister khan, Ayaan is here and ..., said Zoya holding Asad's arm to catch his attention, and then both Asad and Zoya stayed stunned for what they saw. Asad felt his blood boiling and rushed angrily to Ayaan.
-humeiraaa, Asad roared
Humeira left Ayaan's arms and whispered in horror:
-bhaijaan, she sucked her breath
-Asad... Zoya , replied Ayaan terrified looking at them
-Ayaan, said Zoya from behind , and Humeira..., her eyes fell on Asad who was close to burst.
