I agree with you. SO many things looking too contrived yesterday.

  1. They took great pains to make Sanam look very plain thus far. I was curious as to how they were going to start making her look pretty again, something related to the story you know? But no, she looked pretty on the engagemenet ceremony , fine, her grandma gave her some nice clothes. but then she went from that to the bride look (reminiscent of the Eid look from QH1) we saw yesterday. Who dresses to rival the bride anyway?? And the dancing ... Tell me about it, all of a sudden she is wearing better dress than the bride and dancing all over the place ...how sloppy.
  2. Sanam couldn't go out for a date with Anwar, the guy she was about to marry. Now she's hugging men quite comfortably and letting them put flowers in her hair and all. Rehan was giving her those flowers as a symbol of his intentions, and sends him to googly eyed heaven when she asks him to put it on... Seriously, any girl with common sense will understand what a gift of Gajra means, Sanam can't be that stupid, couldn't she ask Asma who is in the same room to help with flowers instead of asking Rehaan's help, we understand that making Aahil jealous is the intention of CVs but please come up with scenes that go with the characters and with general acceptable levels.
  3. Quite frankly in the beginning I liked Haya. There was infinite possibilities for her character. But instead they made her a pitiful creature, who meddles in lives of people she has no business disturbing. I mean, sure, it was sweet that she wanted to be friends after the rescue, but going into his room and revamping it?? Going into his wardrobe and through his clothes and stuff. She crossed the line of busybody-ness (for me at least). Suddenly he's asking her out......me too, I liked them in the beginning but now they are completely ruined.
  4. Sorry but if someone attempts to molest my granddaughter and they tossed him out of HIS own house. I would not continue to stay there, and suffer much discomfort at the separated husband and wife. What's up with Dilshaad? She came to Bhopal to help Sanam, when she couldn't, why stay there? How did all money of Asad got lost...how can Dilshad be that poor and where is Ayaan, Haider and Razia?when Dilshad anyway now returned to Bhopal, why is she not trying to contact her extended family instead of staying with Munnisa is yet to be explained.
Sorry for ranting in your post.. 😃
Please don't apologize, I love such detailed responses with logical analysis.

Wonderful, enjoyable, and well analyzed post. To this I will add 2 other questions:
Thank you!

Where:
Where is this plot headed? If SaHil Nikaah is the immediate goal, then we need to have a few new entries and twists to keep the post-nikah chemistry going. Also, the character of Rehan needs to be greyed up to make things more interesting.
I think post Nikah they will focus on SAHIL feelings for each other and Billi's plans falling flat due to Sanam's smartness or stupidity or Aahil's desire to make the Nikah real but again if they show these things with some contrived story then the essence would be lost. Rehaan is grey already as he is hiding his relationship with Tannu from Aahil.

How: Rather, it is a series of "how comes" that I do not understand, such as:

How is it that if Badi Begum is being slow-poisoned on arsenic or another Billi poison that should naturally make her increasingly cat-atonic, she is looking really chipper and getting better each day?

How come in a cultured household, an unmarried girl is invited, and agrees, to go a military couples ball without even needing to check with her grandmother first.
Haya and Rahat story is messed up.

How come Dr. Asma is still in the dark about her beau's lack of medical knowledge, despite spending great amounts of time in the Nawab mansion?
Because her beau is never home, I see Asma all the time in the Mansion but not Azhar. 😆

How can Rehan fix the gajra in Sanam's hair in full view of assembled guests without raising a single brow or comment?
Aahil's eyebrows were raised 😆 On a serious note, a very stupid scene.

How did Nazia see the splash of mehendi in Sanam's palm, when the angle of how the hand was being held made it difficult even for the audience to spot it?
Even if the Mehandi splashed on Sanam's hand, whatz the big deal? It is not like Aahil applied it on her hand ...cringe worthy scene.

You said it all. QH1 had great cast, good story and range of emotions. QH2 has pathetic cast except few leads and absolutely no story with connection less love stories. QH1 is classic and QH2 is not even close to an imitation.

I agree with you about yesterday's episode. Many things didnt make sense. IDK where did sanam get so much money to wear sucha dress, she ia too naive. No, a girl from village cannot be that naive. And yes a cook dancing in the middle of everyone is unrealistic. Also the mehendi drama could have been better.
But q.h 2 was promoted as a love story. So the love story is the main track of the story. It is not a famili drama. And this is the reason why the trps increased. Because it focussed on the leads. And I dont know I will probably not watch if it turns out to be a family drama again. As of now the love story does not look stretched for me. Its working. But episodes like yeaterday can be avoided. I dont like forces drama.

Unfortunately even on that front poor Gul is losing her edge...QH2 is the living proof.

there was a time when ahil-sanam's love story was my favorite kind, now not so much.Partly because I have seen enough of these and partly because it was not developed properly and I do think they are playing with sanam's character to create these jealousy moments.
Was excited for haya-rahat but nahh don't like their love story either. But I do think Gul will continue down this path, its working.

I am afraid that they can't retain TRPs if they don't improve their story telling but again who knows ...time will say.

I am watching it 4 the leads only. And this is the rzn rahat- haya is not my concern. 😆
And as I said episodes like yesterday can b avoided. I didnt like it too. Sanam cant be that naive. And yeah it didnt go with her character. About the washing machine scene, yes it was a very stupid way to show sanam's life in danger. But I wont complain about the scenes which followed. The love story for me is going good. Yes we have to see whether gul can continue it even after marriage. But clearly apart from the leads everything else is blah for me at the moment. I am here 4 the love story.I skip other scenes.
