Chapter two

When life takes an unexpected turn.

She brought her hand in front of him again but he chose to ignore him. Well now Zoya Siddiqui wouldn't have that now would she? "Excuse me? Mister?!" She said in a sing song voice and she snapped her fingers in front of his face.

"Asad" he said in a tone so low and she almost didn't hear it. "Weird man" she thought to herself. Ugh! Two more hours of boredom. "Why must home be so far away?" She thought like a character from an old Austen novel. Well.. If he didn't talk she could right? He'd at least respond. Well so she thought. 'Let the communication commence!' She giggled within to herself. "So how did your exam oh she said?" No reply. "Hello? Mister! I am talking to you" she snapped her fingers and looked at her as though she had transported here from an entirely different world.

"It went well" he replied sternly, hoping it would shut her up and he replied only because he was being polite he told himself. Not like he was mesmerized with her big brown eyes , her thick beautiful lashes , her button nose, her cheekbones and... Let's not go there. She waited and waited and waited hoping he would ask her the same question she had asked him, but he didn't so she she decided to answer it herself. "Mine went good" she answered the unasked question jovially.

"Hmm.." Was all he murmured in response.

Huffed she turned herself away from him, he looked at her curiously, clad in an ocean blue full-sleeved Kurti and faded jeans with an elegant silver watched adorning her wrist with her hair flowing in the air and gliding across her face. He couldn't help but admire her. Just then she turned her face towards him and caught him looking at her. Embarrassed, he turned away from her.

"So.. What's your major?" She inquired him.

"Architecture" he responded obviously uninterested.

Just then it started raining, Zoya's attention turned towards the beautiful weather. She loved the rain ok maybe love was an understatement. According to her rain wiped away all worries and stresses of life including the weather which was cleared of all the impurities, all dust and humidity disappeared, all the heat gone and the rhythmic pitter patter of the rain soothed her soul.

She turned towards Asad, who was completely engrossed in his book "The space between us". Her nose twitched and her eyebrows raised in an instant , indicating just how much she disapproved of the boring specimen sitting next to her . " what kind of a man was this?" She thought. Shaking her head she turned her head towards the window again.

Just then the bus swerved right and then left , sliding off the slippery road as the driver lost control of the car and the vehicle crashed into the trees nearby, the windows shattered, the body of the bus deshaped and the passengers unconscious as the after effect of the event.
