NOTE, m not giving character sketch for this story as it would spoil the fun.

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND WHILE READING :

1.The story would revolve around not only asya but also their friend circle as they would be playing an imp. role.

2. There'll be simultaneous situations. i.e Flashbacks and present will be updated together.

3. The main concept of the story, as I have already mentioned, is from the book 'an offer you cant refuse'.

4. However, the lines, quotes, shayris and situations Will be my own efforts.

5. Characters have nothing to do with the original story and are completely my imagination.

6. I would really appreciate your response. Because, as much as I love writing, I need good readers.

"Why are we here haidar!"

I said.

He didn't react. Just gestured me I remove my sandals and sit beside him. The beach where my best friend took me, was beautiful. It was half past six in the evening when we reached there. And hence, The scarlet sky was spread out across the sky like crimson blood smeared smoothly over a large canvass, as the golden sun slowly started its journey to sank behind the epic landscape. Glimmers of light reflected off the still water, sending slithers of rose coloured shafts. Ever so slowly the dimming sun was getting tucked behind the horizons. The clouds floated by in soft cotton like puffs of pink.
We sat there still and silent. I hid myself from the world under his arms and he held me protectively. It was a moment where just emotions spoke. I needed him, and he knew it.'
I closed my eyes, leaning against haider a bit more, breathing in the last of the long day. Though autumn wasn't my favorite season, I had to admit there was something special about the autumn sunsets that nature had to show. I found myself watching the sunsets recently. The way things were going in my life, they had a calming effect on me, and somewhere it soothed my sanity which threatened to slip away from me with every passing day.

The season cast an orange haze above the horizon, lighting up the sky as if lit by fire, yet the haze was so crisp and clear.


The sun, like a large, grandeur orange fireball in the distance was partially cloaked by the hanging clouds, which were all splashed with the random colours of hot pinks, reds and even hints of purples and blues. The sun was so large that I felt I could almost touch it. It seemed to look at me with a dull glare, knowing that it's beauty and the planet's dependence on it for survival made up for it.
The sun which had it's time to shine for the time it was given, seemed to whisper "Farewell" to the world as it sunk lower and lower in a lazy manner; almost as if it never wanted to leave.


I knew I too had to leave soon. So I leaned off from Haidar's shoulder, walking down the sand. A cool breeze passed, making me stop. I let the wind tousle my black hair as it was almost like a human touch. The evening breeze had always given me a feel of satisfaction. As if it said, its gonna be alright at the end, no matter what'.


I looked at the sun again. The sun was almost as orange as the sky, like a ghost almost. It always amused me, that the very thing that gave warmth, life, light and happiness to so many could just as easily cause utter destruction.


I closed my eyes once more, and the events of the years went through my mind like a reel. By the time I opened my eyes, the sun was gone, leaving behind a sea of dark, lonely clouds in a twilight sky. The heavens were beginning to litter the stars about, for it was their turn to shine.

Haider came and stood near me, tapping my shoulder to get me off from my daze. Brushing his nose with mine, he whispered the words that he always did.

"When you smile for me, life seems alright, so please don't ever lose that.. atleast for me zoe. Things would get better, faster than you think they would."

And so, i smiled.

This is me, zoya farooqui. And this is my life.
